†Free parking for up to 3 vehicles onsite. Space for a small boat trailer as well.
†Free use of 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks and a canoe including life jackets and safety kits. Boat rentals nearby.
†Dishes, linens (including pillows and extra blankets) and bath towels provided.
†Large eat in kitchen and bright comfortable family room with lots of places to sit.
Come and enjoy fishing, boating and relaxing on beautiful Rice Lake! Our private 3 bedroom cottage is located right on the water, a short walk from Harwood and a short drive from either Cobourg or Peterborough.
The cottage sleeps six comfortably plus there is a couch and extra cot if needed. Friendly well behaved pets are welcome too. Inside, watch a movie on the included DVD player or plug in your own hardware devices, play cards and board games at the kitchen table or just sit by the large patio door and relax.
Outside, fire up the gas barbecue and dine on the main deck or head up to the raised deck above the boathouse where you'll find chairs for lounging and suntanning. Light a fire in the fire pit on the lawn and sit in the sun or under the shade tree during the day and gaze at the sunset and stars at night. On the water enjoy swimming and paddling around the shoreline in the complimentary paddle boards, canoe or kayaks.
There is also space to tie your own small boat or other watercraft at the dock and boat rentals are available nearby. Bring your fishing gear and cast right off the private dock or head over to the sandbar across the bay for a great fishing spot (don't forget your fishing license!).

We are new on VRBO but have been on other rental sites for many years.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Harwood is small and quiet which makes it a great summer spot. The cottage is also close enough to larger places like Cobourg and Peterborough that there are lots of things to do within a short drive.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
Our traditional 3 bedroom family cottage is on the south shore of Rice Lake near Harwood and the old train bridge that used to cross the lake many years ago. That spot is now home to some of the best fishing on the lake and you can easily paddle there from our private dock.
