Horrible, Unsafe, Disappointing
The exterior of the home was dirty & not maintained as far the lawn, garbage, & cigarette butts laying around. Though the interior was well decorated, the bathrooms were not cleaned well, or at all. A lot of soap scum/water build up in the master shower & orange build up was very noticeable. We were given an opened & used bar of soap in the shower. Each room had 2 towels rolled up on the end of the bed & every single one was wet & stunk. We had to wash & dry them before we could use them. The host specifically states that parties/gatherings are strictly prohibited. Meanwhile downstairs guests had a 2 day drug/drinking bender in the backyard/basement. There was fighting, doors slamming, music blasting, etc. The party started Saturday around 2pm & finally ended Sunday at 10pm. My entire group had a big lack of sleep/comfort with the chaos from these 15+ people.
The flimsy little door lock on the unit dividing door was very easily barged through around noon on Sunday by a large man who was extremely intoxicated. He walked right into our kitchen & was swaying/stumbling around before he was asked to leave. There’s no dead bolt, pad lock, etc. That basic door lock was checked upon arrival & not once opened. The safety of their tenants is not at all a concern/priority. When I made the hosts aware of the situation & the fact that this was a pretty big safety issue they told me they’d have a “stern” talking to with these tenants. The entire experience was absolutely horrible.
