Cosy Travellers Stay Near the Beach – Available from Mid-February
From mid-February, I’m offering a private room in my cosy home near Christies Beach, South Australia—a perfect spot for travellers looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.
I haven’t travelled much myself, so I thought—why not bring the travellers to me?
Your Home Away from Home
This space has everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. You’ll have access to all the essentials, plus a few extras to make your visit feel just right.
Suits people traveling for work, or traveling Australia for holidays.
Pricing & Guests
* $65- $89 per night - discounts for week long stays. 2 night minimum.
* Children up to 7 years old stay free (maximum 2—additional children negotiable)
* Maximum occupancy: Flexible, but the room is ideal for singles, couples, or small families.
About the Space
The house is shared with me and my old-man dog, Buddy—he’s a sweetheart! It’s a safe, welcoming space where you can cook, relax, and experience everyday Aussie life.
I prefer to host small families, couples, and women—just a personal choice for comfort and safety.
Your Room
* Listed as “Bedroom 1” on Stayz/VRBO
* Soon to include a fold-down desk, new lighting, and an upgraded bed setup
* Option to add two fold-out beds for kids
* Plenty of toys, games, and an outdoor play area with a slide, treehouse, and swings
* Sturdy Queen bed
* Various shelves and laundry items
House Amenities
✅ Full kitchen access, including a guest mini-fridge ✅ Cooking appliances:
* Stainless steel pots & frypans, ovenware
* Air fryer, sandwich press, food processor, microwave ✅ Shared pantry items: Condiments & spices available for use ✅ BBQ available (great for outdoor meals!) ✅ Laundry access (washing machine & fresh towels for a week) ✅ Fast, free internet ✅ Smoking permitted in the backyard
✅ (Coffee lovers: I currently have a French press, but a coffee machine is coming soon!)
✅ Extras for your adventures: Picnic basket & cooler bags available for use
✅ Hot water to die for and a deep bath!
Cleaning & House Rules
* High hygiene standards—bed sheets & towels washed at 60°C/140°F
* Deep cleaning regularly maintained
* Main rule: Please clean up after yourself and always close the gate to keep Buddy safe!

* The front yard is now tidy (grass is struggling with summer, though!)
* New room photos coming soon with updated furnishings
* Kitchen table is now a large wooden one and the one pictured is outside
* The Kitchen picture with the shelf on the left is one area for food storage and a mini fridge is now near the stove

SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre och The Beachhouse är exempel på lokala turistattraktioner, och den som har lust att shoppa kan besöka Fishermans Wharf Market Port Adelaide och Westfield Marion Shopping Centre. Aldinga Airfield och West Beach Mini Golf är också värda ett besök.

My thinking around hosting is that it would be like reverse travelling, I've not travelled yet, so I can bring the world to me!
There is zero pressure to connect when you're here, but if you'd like ot organise an afternoon out otgether if y9ou're travlling or have dinner I am well up for it!
My aim is to show people a hospitable Australia, have a cosy place to land and base yourself from, and all you need for cooking, and keeping clean. Mi casa es su casa (“make yourself at home” - “my house is your house.”

Varför värden valde detta boende
I love the land at Christies Beach, I grew up here and whenever I think about exploring elsewhere, there is just something about the land and energy here that is grounded, fun, connected.
So I am still here and I hope you enjoy the sights. It's very local to places like Mclaren Vale and Port Noarlunga - two key places you could spend many hours if not days.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt
It's just what you need. It's not over the top. It;s like going home. It's not priced like an epic home, because it's not! It's just normal, but homey. It's a 60s style house with high ceilings and wooden floors, and everything you need including the right budget!
