We were lucky enough to stay in villa 7 seas for 9 days, the villa is utterly exceptional everything has been well thought out and finished to a luxury specification. The location is second to none, quiet relaxing but with nice restaurants and beaches within 5-10 minutes. Marios the host was superb throughout our stay and even helped with restaurant bookings all of which were great and saved us when we got a flat tyre some miles away from the villa. We have stayed in a number of luxury villas around Europe seven seas without doubt is the best and we will be returning. If you are thinking about booking go for it.

There were eight of us, all elderly, and we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay at this very peaceful villa.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Elesia. Lovely Villa, everything we needed. Anastasia was a great host. Swam in the gorge, cold but exhilarating! Loved Ammoudi beach. Loved Rethymno old town. Raki Ba Raki great restaurant 👌

Great villa with an abundance of silence. Very peaceful with great virws. Best villa i have been to. Inside was massive and pool area very generous. The hosts were always on hand if anything was needed. Just 100m away in the Taverna. If you want a layed back holiday this villa cant be beaten.

Probably the best holiday accommodation experience we’ve ever had. Yiannis’ house is absolutely gorgeous with traditional Cretan features, a big living area and a fully equipped kitchen. Some lovely Cretan treats had been left in the fridge for us as well as a big bottle of olive oil and other snacks. There is a huge fully fenced garden where our 2 small boys enjoyed playing, a lovely veranda at the back where we enjoyed our meals and which overlooks an orchard with olive trees and, to our pleasant surprise, a fig tree which we have without a doubt made the most of. There is also an amazing wood fire barbecue area. What made our experience that more special was Yiannis’ friendliness and helpfulness as he really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The neighbours are also really lovely, a little lady one day brought us delicious homemade cheese and honey pies. You can listen out for the local sellers who come by in their van to sell fresh fish, cheese and vegetables. Spilli, a cute little village with fresh water fountains, is a 10 min drive away, and the beautiful beaches of Plakias and Ammoudi about 20/25 min away. We would highly recommend Yiannis’ place and will definitely come back!

Villa Myrte is the ideal location to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The surroundings are stunning with exquisite panoramic views everywhere you look. It is also ideally situated for exploring the north and south coasts. The villa has everything you need and more to provide a truly fabulous holiday experience. We would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

The property has some good points but the bad things outweigh this. First the bad: The bedrooms are very small and hard to walk to the far side of the bed. Reaching the house from the parking space is a very steep incline and rough in places. The shower rooms are both small. On the good side: The views are very good. The facilities (air con etc) all in good condition and work well. The swimming pool and outside space are nice and just as big as they appear in the photos. General thoughts: We failed to notice that the location is a long way from shops – about 30 minutes drive to get groceries (1.5 hours return trip minimum). There are plenty of tavernas within 5 or 10 mins drive and several good beaches. The local area is known to be windy. It should be noted that like most places in Crete the toilet paper goes in the bin not down the toilet. The ironing board and iron in the listing was missing. Move key to inside to get electricity to work, then the door can slam shut with key locked inside. Unlock a patio door as soon as you can.
