  • Lovely country living with modern amenities.

"The house is set in a valley surrounded by mountains and fields which makes for great views as you sit outside. The garden is landscaped and Full of wild flowers and lavender. It is also centrally located if you want to go sight seeing., hiking , biking etc...there are alpacas and donkeys on site. It is fun being able to feed them from the apples in the orchard which is also on the property. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. Each window of the house has a view . We particularly liked the one from the kitchen and the one from the dining room. It was easy living with the benefits of being on a farmstead. Do not miss going to Port Renfrew it is a great walk to the ocean on the western side of the island. Cowichan bay is not far and has great little restaurants on the port."

  • Wonderful weeks in Nanaimo and beautiful Vancouver ISland

"We had wonderful days in the apartment and used our time to vistit Tofino, Campbell River, Strathcona Provincial Park, Victoria and all the other beautiful places. Between our trips we enjoyed the calm and relaxed atmosphere in Yellow Point. We will come back for sure."

  • Lovely, spacious condo

"We loved this condo. Everything was spotless, the furniture and beds were so comfortable! It is very bright and spacious. The kitchen had everything you need, including spices. There was a nice view of the water, and having three balconies was great. It's kind of remote, but we were able to take a couple of easy drives north to do some sightseeing. Be sure to eat at the Crow and Gate pub down the road. Food was great, and the gardens were lovely. The only kind of quirky thing we encountered was that you have to wash and fold the sheets and towels before you leave. We had never encountered that in a VRBO. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Luckily we had booked a late ferry out of Victoria so we had time to take care of it before leaving. Thanks, Peggy, for sharing your beautiful condo."

  • Cozy and rustic. Perfect mix of nature and conveniences of modern life!

"I absolutely loved my solo stay in this cozy little cabin and it was the perfect place to retreat to on my first visit to Salt Spring. It was tucked away far enough from town that I felt like I was in nature but it was still only a quick drive down to Ganges (less than 5 minutes). I met with the owner as I checked in but my privacy was respected for the duration of my stay. The cabin was a tiny bit more rustic than I expected from the photos but that made me love it even more. The bed was extremely comfortable as other guests have mentioned and it definitely allowed me a good night's rest. Very soft. I was delighted that on both of the mornings, multiple deer nibbled in front of the big windows and I was constantly hearing birds and the sounds of nature. The sun hits the deck perfectly in the afternoon. It is a few minute drive to the Mt. Maxwell which I would recommend for some amazing views (fairly steep road with deep potholes in order to get up though so be prepared). I would fully recommend this getaway spot to couples looking for some alone time or anyone who needs a break from the bustle of life. I stayed for two nights but I felt like it wasn't quite long enough. I would love to come back! Terrific hospitality. I miss the HappiNest already!"
