  • A Perfect Weekend

"1875 Captain's House was everything we could have hoped for. It's proximity to beaches, wineries, and little towns in the County make it the perfect location to do everything you could possibly want to do. The house itself is very spacious, clean and comfortable with a beautiful big lawn to play around on. The kitchen is very well stocked with good equipment and utensils, which made cooking a breeze. We hope to stay at Captain's House again sometime."

  • Beautiful home!

"This property is a bright and clean space. We stayed here with 6 adults and 2 babies. There was endless amounts of space and things to do. We enjoyed the bikes, trampoline and keyboard. A 2 min walk to the main strip of Wellington and extremely close to wineries and local artisans. We would definitely stay again."

  • Wonderful location, good cottage, not clean

"Had an amazing time at this cottage. It's location is unbeatable, if you want to be in the city but feel like you're not. It had everything we needed. It is rustic, if you want something modern, or updated, this isn't what you're looking for. The owner Mark, was friendly, and accommodating. My only complaint is how dirty it was when we got there. The carpets had been vacuumed, and it looked tidy. However the bathroom was pretty gross. Had to go buy bathroom cleaner and scrub the sink, tub, toilet. Kitchen area was better but need a good cleaning too. If we hadn't had such a great time here, I would have given a 3 based on cleanliness. Overall, I recommend this cottage, you just might want to bring more than Lysol wipes."

  • Amazing Retreat Cottage!!

"I went to this gorgeous cottage as a group of 6 ladies Nov 4-6 2016. It was an amazing size cottage for our group. We loved the dock and the trees in the fall as well as the fire pit. Weather was fantastic and the vibe was awesome and comfortable. It was a very handy location for wine tastings. We rented bikes from Cassandra - who was incredible at and she delivered the bikes. The wineries were a good but comfortable ride away and at the end of the day we ended up having them picked up at Traynor vineyard and took a taxi home. The whole experience was amazing. Penny and John were so communicative and left handy information for us in the kitchen. The process was comfortable and smooth. We want to make this an annual trip! Thank you for your hospitality. :) We loved the little touches: Adult colouring books, guest book, duvet bedding, all the comforts of home in the kitchen! SEE YOU SOON!!"
