  • Great Family Vacation!

"We had a great stay only steps away from the beach. We were travelling in a large group 6 Adults and 2 children ages 5 and 7 and the house had everything we could ask for and more. The owners were friendly and quick to answer every question which helped make everything go smooth. The owners work very hard to help prepare and guide you for the trip and have thought of all details, which truly made the trip relaxing. It is everything we wanted in a family vacation. The house is directly on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen!! Not to mention the beautiful sound on the other side. We went out a few times on the sea kayaks and saw many turtles and some of the largest star fish we have ever seen. The powdery sands and nearby reefs were enjoyed morning and night. Everything was convienent especially with the new grocery store opening 5 minutes away while we there there. We travelled all the way down to Lighthouse beach in the south (1.5 hrs) and Harbour Island in the North (1.25 hrs). Ocean Daze was a perfect base to discover how beautiful Eleuthera really is. Ocean Daze is clean, well kept and full of opportunities to relax. It really feels like a home away from home, but better! We fully intend to return again someday and would recommend Ocean Daze to everyone!"

  • The Perfect Relaxing Getaway!

"First of all, we have to stress the excellent customer service provided; they checked in with us multiple times and were very responsive & attentive! The property itself is CHARMING - a cozy little place with beautiful high ceilings, gorgeous dark hardwood and a beach theme decor. The view is gorgeous and a lovely little restaurant lies steps away from the property. Even though there is a restaurant so close to the residence, any noise generated was nicely muffled and could hardly be heard from the living room. A short walk away is a liquor store and a marketplace - everything you could need from groceries to simple ammenities (shampoo, conditioner, etc.). Every afternoon in the corner of the marketplace's parking lot, a group of men set up a fresh conch stand from the back of their truck. We soon learned that pop-up fresh conch stands were a common theme along the tiny roadsides throughout the island. The number of beaches was astounding! Not only numerous but complete with powder soft sand and water so turquoise the blue of the sky pales in comparison. Often we were the only ones on the beach and water was so clear that we could wander far from shore and still only be up to our waists. Coral reefs were everywhere and snorkeling provided a gorgeous up close view of the aquatic life. We were absolutely satisfied with this property and the owners - I recommend them to anyone that wants to experience the TRUE Bahamian life: the charm of it's roadways, brightly colored homes, local restaurants, friendly locals, & relaxed pace. • Laid back, unpretentious

"We have just Blue Ocean after a lovely week in Rock Sound. If you are into a laid back cottage kind of feel, this is the place for you. The swimming is great in the sandy shallows off the dock. All rooms have fan, so we never needed A/C. Cooled down nicely at night. Plenty of space. Our hosts Pat and Peter were lovely folks. Peter met us at the airport with a rental jeep as we brought a ton of gear with us. I must say one needs to be prepared for the vehicles to be In not so great condition but the folks are all so helpful that you'll never be stuck. The roads are full of crazy potholes and they drive on the left. There is a very good supermarket with prices somewhat higher than in Canada where we come from but look around for deals, no name or local brands and you'll be fine. There are a few liquor stores, a BTC office, a really nice guy named Gino who makes a killer Conch Salad and fritters at a little stand at night between the big Anglican church on the shore and the Blue Homecoming Hut. Sammy's is a great place to eat up the slope a bit. We never got to the North Side restaurant on the Atlantic side. Ran out of time. I'd encourage you to visit here. The folks would love to meet you and you'll have a great time."

  • Spectacular!

"As beautiful as it appears in the photos, it's even better in real life. The views are spectacular in every direction -- a mix of aqua blue water and beautiful tropical foliage. Add to that the sound of the ocean and birds singing. Inside, the house is comfortable throughout and beautifully furnished. Ruth, who prepares amazing and delicious meals, is such a delight to know. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, walking the beaches (Lighthouse beach is a must and not too far from the house) and, of course, relaxing. We would love to return!"
