  • Couldn't have asked for more!

"A group of friends and I stayed for two weeks at Limeberry House. Our group comprised of 5 adults and one toddler. We arrived late at night due to flight times and were greeted by the owners who settled us in and made us feel at home. They showed us around the villa and made the time to show us how things worked and where everything was. They also took the time to let us know more about the island including the best places to shop, eat, visit and who to contact for day trips. As if that wasn't enough they had kindly provided us with essential supplies to keep us going for the first few days, including home favorites like Waitrose tea! The villa looked amazing by night, however come the morning, I was amazed by the villa and the vista which offered a great view out over Long Bay. The villa is a short 10 minute walk from the gorgeous Smugglers Cove, which is everything you hope and expect a Caribbean beach to be. Soper's Hole marina is also a short drive away and a great spot to charter a day's sailing. The villa has a lovely sized pool which heats up nicely during the day and is great for cooling off in after a trip to the beach. The two washing machines and dryers also really came in handy for a two week stay. The villa's welcome booked also recommended local restaurants, including D'Coalpot which serves great local food. All in all we had a wonderful two week stay in Tortola. The BVI really is beautiful and the islanders are so welcoming and our hosts really made us feel welcome and went to such great lengths to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It is fair to say that I will be going back!"

  • Paradise

"My family (husband and 2 teen daughters) and I just returned from a glorious week at Villa Chai Light. Jacky was so accommodating through the whole process and was such a wonderful host when we arrived. It was so kind of her to check in with us before we arrived so she could stock to fridge with breakfast food and other goodies. The Villa is so roomy with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths....so much better than staying in hotel rooms. It has a beautiful view of the water and you will never tire of sitting on the porch or deck and watching the sea or staring at the stars. The Villa is also perfectly located up the hill from Leverick Bay where there are shops, a restaurant, bar, spa, dive shop and boat rentals. My family did 2 days of scuba diving and finished their open water certifications. We also rented a 17 ft boat and a dinghy on 2 different days went around the North Sound with stops at Saba Rock, Prickly Pear, Oil Nut Bay and the Bitter End. We also had a car rented from Chudney and went on trips to Spanish Town (great dinner at Coco Maya) and snorkeled the Baths, and had lunch at Hog Heaven (a must do). We are only home for a day and are already thinking about our next trip to Virgin Gorda!"

  • Paradise on Earth

"If you want to experience a home set in a tropical paradise overlooking the endless shades of blue of the Caribbean, look no further. From the very first outreach about booking to the conclusion of our trip, Michael was beyond helpful and provided details around every aspect of the travel to and from the island as well as the home itself. House Manager Tiina met us at the dock, get us set with our rental car, took us to get provisions and got us all settled in the villa. She is amazing and such a great resource during our stay. The photos cannot do justice to the spectacular views from almost every side of the villa itself. You almost can't believe it's real and right in front of you. The home is built into the hillside overlooking the sea and Leverick Bay beneath and is surrounded by lush, flowering tropical plants and trees for complete privacy. All of the furnishings, including some custom made, are very comfortable and functional in addition to being perfect for the home's style. We spent hours on the deck recliners enjoying the view of the water and boats of all kinds coming and going after a full day of snorkeling, beach time and exploring. This home and Virgin Gorda are the perfect destination for water sports lovers, beach enthusiasts, snorkelers and divers, and anyone who loves beauty and relaxation on "island time." Visit Spring Bay, Long Bay and Valley Truck Bay for great snorkeling. Savannah Bay was also a wonderful day. Can't go wrong with any of the beaches. Take the free ferry to Bitter End Yacht Club for some brick over pizza and the best key lime pie. Visit Hog Heaven for the spectacular views and great food -- ribs, fried chicken and fresh potato salad were among our favorites. Ride out of the Copper Mine ruins (closed in the mid-1800s) and get great views of the Atlantic side of the island. The Top of the Baths restaurant is always a great lunch stop but go back at dinner for a more upscale dining experience and menu - on certain nights they also have a fire dancer which was awesome. We had a great experience with Mahogany car rentals as well. My only hesitation is recommending is that everyone will discover this treasure making it harder for us to find an open date next time we visit -- and we will. Thanks for a vacation of a lifetime!"

  • Perfect Views in a Zen Like Atmosphere

"The online pictures of Villa Towanda on VRBO don't do it justice because the property has a serene feel and vibe (with just the right touch of Indonesian charm) that simply can't be captured in still photos. The roads up to the property are steep and the location would be difficult to find on your own, so we definitely needed to meet the manager at Long Bay Beach Resort to follow him up. Definitely rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle! We loved the outdoor/indoor living spaces typical in the Caribbean. The management team is very responsive and great to work with. The kitchen and living/dining rooms were under the terrace cover and flowed outside right to the pool. The villa has three self enclosed "suites" consisting of a bedroom and bathroom that are all of approximately equal size...two are stacked (upstairs/downstairs) and the third is upstairs but separated from the other two with an incredible view and outdoor shower. The main problem with the property is that the bedrooms are not air conditioned (and easily could be) and the fans are not sufficient to keep you cool at night with the mosquito nets down (and the electricity sometimes going out at night to turn your fan off). Other than the lack of A/C, it was a perfect stay in a perfect setting."
