  • Gorgeous beach, large pool, great place

"Very nice place with a large enjoyable two-section pool and great view of a gorgeous beach right from your room or deck. The town is about a ten minute walk up the beach, so if you're looking to be in the middle of things this is not it. But if you want to be away from the hubbub or just don't mind walking or driving when you'd like to go to a bar or do watersports, it's perfect. Swimming conditions were great. The beach has quite a bit of seaweed on it at this location since it's not raked by the beachfront bars up the beach. If you walk a couple of minutes up the beach you can get to a part that's taken care of. Kitchen is nice but lacks any real counter space or cutting board. We somehow were not provided with toilet paper, but we just picked some up when getting groceries. Other convenient amenities like beach chairs, towels and an umbrella were provided. There are tennis courts, but it seemed like bringing your own racket and balls might be required. In any case it was way too hot for that until it was dark, though morning play might be a fun possibility. You'll need to do a bit of hilly walking to get from the parking areas to the rental. This didn't bother us. Overall this location was a tremendous value and highly enjoyable."

  • The Real Deal

"There is a reason that every review is 5 stars- the condo is wonderful. It was a final family vacation before our oldest starts college this fall, and it was the perfect choice. Clean and spacious, three large bedrooms, a great sun room and an outdoor balcony. Each day we explored a different area of the island. Some of our top choices: 1. Rent your SUV from Unity (Brian connected us with them)- nothing better than having your vehicle delivered to you at the airport and then dropping it off in the departure lane. 2. Orient Beach was our favorite beach- we loved the water and casual restaurants- Parking was easy. Other top beaches- Cupecoy- right outside the condo and a private little beach by Little Bay. (There is public parking right next to the Belair Beach Hotel.) 3. We did 2 snorkeling trips. One with Octopus Diving- 3 out of 5 stars: The Creole Rock site is excellent. The other trip was with Captain Alan's Snorkeling- 5 out of 5 stars. A little more expensive, but well worth it. We did the 1/2 day tour and enjoyed every second. Got to see the sea turtles. 4. Croissants at Sarafinas. 5. Beachfront dinner at Grand Case, but just as delicious was a crepe stand near the parking lot. 6. Loterie Farm. My son and I did the hike and saw wild monkeys 7. Card games at night in the sun room overlooking the sea. The internet worked, but was slow for international work. My VPN connection kept getting dropped. Don't plan on doing a lot of remote work, but who really wants to anyway? Dawn beach- too much seaweed. Glad we were not staying there. Philipsburg- we are not big shoppers, so this was a wasted 2 hours. Too many tourists and bad restaurants. Unexpected memorable event: Used google maps on the cell phone while driving, and it worked fine. Occasionally it would route you through "short cuts" that you would not ordinarily plan on taking. One time a wrong turn and inability to take a U turn had us go over one of the highest points- the grade was over 15% and it felt like the SUV was going to tip over backwards. More exciting than any roller coaster- a highlight that even the teens didn't want to repeat. We highly recommend this condo."

  • Fantastic Views from a very nice villa

"My wife and I spent 3 nights here and could not have been happier. We were on the 2nd floor (top floor), nobody was below us, Grand Case Bay was in front of one balcony, and the wonderful mountains faced the rear balcony. The beautiful water is just a few yards and stairs away. Grand Case with its many restaurants is about a 5 to 10 minute walk, so a car is not needed (which is a real advantage if you have had a drink or two or three). The gate to the property makes it super safe, and a remote was provided so that we could come and go whenever we wanted without bothering anybody. The property is easy to find, as long as you remember that it is very close to the Grand Case Beach Club! Our Villa had a stove, microwave, nice sized fridge, toaster, coffee maker, and all the dishes plus utensils/pots/pans that a couple could ever want. The place was spotless, as was the bathroom. The shower was a pleasure, and the toilet flushed well----which is not always the case in other places. The tv had many channels and programs came in well. Esther was a delight and very easy to talk to. We did not spend much time with her because we were so busy touring the island. But, we definitely enjoyed the little time we had with her. We had a super time in St Martin and in our Villa. We would highly recommend it to our family and friends!"
