  • The very best location, view, hosts...I could go on and on.

"This place is so fantastic! The location was the best we could've found. Snorkeling in Secret Harbor we could look up and see our apartment and our hammock beckoning us. Getting home from Red Hook in just a few minutes was so convenient after a nice meal and cocktails. Joanie and Robert were incredible hosts. I can't wait to return to Sunflower!!!"

  • Nice unit

"Our family spent almost a week in beautiful St. John and decided to stay at this very quaint unit. It was not the first time for us in the island but it was in this unit. The unit has a good location mainly because it is a 7 minute walk to the downtown area which was very important to us. We love to walk and dine in this area at nights and know that parking in downtown is difficult. I have to say that though it is a short walk, the walk is a bit challenging. We are a pretty athletic family but did not look forward to the steep uphill walk after a nice evening. So if you are not in shape choose to rent a car or take a taxi. As far as the unit, we really enjoyed it. It was cleaned and had everything we needed as we cook breakfast and some lunches there. It is well decorated and with a pretty good view of gorgeous Cruz Bay. I say pretty good, and not great, mainly because to not fault of the owner there is a building coming up on the side of the unit that blocks some of the view. However, one could still enjoy a great view while having breakfast in the balcony or a few beverages at night. That was the best part of the unit.....the relaxing morning coffee overlooking Cruz bay. The pool area is very nice and also overlooks the bay. We also enjoyed the nice grill in the pool area. Finally, though the unit is well mantained and is fully stocked, it couldn't hurt to have access to air conditioning in the living room. I am used to the heat, grew up near the beach, and there is a nice breeze when all windows are open. However, it gets pretty stuffy in the mornings or during the day. It didn't bother me but I could see how it could others who are not used to this weather. I noticed a lot of the units did. The owner, Jan, was great to work with. She was always available and her contact people at the island were also great. We would definitely stay there again."

  • So good we came back!

"When needing a great place to stay on a budget - I thought immediately of "Condo Nightwind" in Sapphire Village. We stayed previously a few years earlier (2011) so I knew it would be a good choice for me and my friend visiting from San Francisco. The condo had a few renovations like new furniture and a great 55-inch flat screen tv wall mounted. I enjoyed the comfortable bedroom while my friend was on the couch. The closet had plenty of beach chairs and snorkel equipment - we did miss our "noodles" though! You just can't beat the location of this condo. You don't have to have a car - its walkable to the street for the $1 taxi's and walkable to Sapphire beach. Its also very close to the pool which is heaven in the late afternoon. I'd also recommend you do a daytrip on the "Nightwind" which is moored in the marina. The condo is owned by Rick and Cathy who live just upstairs if you need anything. The daysail on the "Nightwind" is the best of them all , and it will take you 2 minutes to walk to the boat from the condo. This is a comfortable nice place to stay and you cannot beat the price for the week. I have been coming to St.Thomas every year for about 5 years so I know. I've stayed in much more expensive accommodations and was'nt as comfortable and had problems with out of island owners - having A/C problems when the owner lives in New York isn't fun."

  • Beautiful and airy

"We had a great week on St John, largely thanks to this vrbo find. We loved so much about the space--the airy interior, comfy bed, substantial deck with delightful view, and outdoor shower. Tradewinds and fans provided ample cooling, and we enjoyed hearing the crickets at night. Great location, nestled in the hills yet close to restaurants and grocery stores. Sandy's hospitality made us feel right at home--thanks! The home was clean and kitchen well appointed. Wifi and stereo for ipod worked well. I was happy to have a break from a tv. One small word of caution: the driveway up to the home is barely drivable. Luckily, we rented a 4WD drive--the only way to navigate the rocks and cement gullies--but the mile-long road always felt much, much longer. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would (simply because of the difficult driveway). Overall, we absolutely loved the house and our stay on St John. Thanks!"
