Brittany castles

I'll just start by saying that we would very happily stay here again - I think that says it all! The apartment was very clean, tastefully and well presented and very comfortable - just like the pictures show. If anything, the main living room is bigger than we expected. Ann-Kathrin (the host) communicated quickly, was very helpful throughout the booking and stay and gave us a lovely welcome. She sent us helpful messages that included restaurant recommendations that were very nice - not that we tried them all ;) It was our first visit to Dinan and the old medieval town and port area are very well worth a visit - beautiful architecture and a very pleasant ambience. We will very happily stay here again if travelling to the area.

Two couples stayed in this superb apartment within this chateau. It is beautiful. We felt very privileged to stay here. Very well equipped and great attention to detail. Very tranquil and peaceful. Ideal location to Morlaix just a short walk and you are in town. We also used the little sun room in the garden for early evening drinks. Florence and her husband couldn’t have been more helpful. We even met Francois the groundsman who gave us a tour of the grounds. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you want to stay in a beautiful old chateau full of history this is the place. We are already planning our return trip and can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much xxx

Aged between 11 and 80 and celebrating two 80th birthdays this year. From outside the accommodation is impressive. We all enjoyed the gardens and the lake. Plenty of room for activities and for relaxation. We were sorry that the sun had gone from the outside table by late afternoon as it was a great place to gather early evening. Indoors we found everything we needed. The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable. The stairs are quite steep and several of the bathrooms have showers over deep baths. We were prepared for the patchy Wi-Fi but found it inconvenient at times. An additional router would make a big difference. Our ages were b

The Cheatau and grounds are absolutely amazing. It was the first time all 22 of the family had spent a holiday together. We had a terrific time holidaying in the splendor of the french Cheatau and closeby fishing village. We all hope to return again on day.

On arrival we couldn't have been more impressed! Totally stunning. Beautiful and imposing with lots of trees and outdoor space. The large fireplaces, the well equipped kitchen, the grand windows and the opulent bathrooms. We were very pleased to have been shown to our grand bedroom with a four poster bed. Very large rooms really give you that feeling of space to relax, with plenty of seating areas in the bedroom and kitchen. If you are looking for somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is perfect. We didn't even care that the Wifi connection didn't work as it gave us better reason to stay off our phones for the week. From the Chateau you can cycle on many of the quiet roads, or visit some stunning beaches just over 30 minutes drive away. We visited Plenuef-Val-Andre (after the recommendation from Thomas) and we loved it so much we went back twice more. We took our paddleboards so we were looking for places interesting to paddle with a nice little town for dinner afterwards. Plenuef-Val-Andre is perfect for this. Thomas and his family were so wonderful and while they left us to ourselves, they were also there with any questions we may have had. This is a really lovely, if very quiet place to stay. Many of the restaurants in the region closed in the pandemic so be prepared to cook! Some things in the apartment don't work quite right and the hosts are not very forthcoming with help- but equally they are not intrusive and none of the little problems spoiled our stay.
