  • Am Amazing Villa in an Amazing City.

"In reviewing a property in a vacation spot, it's important to separate the brick and mortar experience from the vacation experience. For the latter, if there is a more beautiful and more breathtaking place on Earth besides the Amalfi Coast, I am yet to hear of it. The area far exceeded my expectations many times over. Roberto Gualtieri, the owner of the property, provided excellent service from the day we booked the villa until the day we arrived. He was always fast to respond to emails, and offered helpful tips on parking, eating, and the like. He definitely put us in a comfort zone knowing that there was a real, reachable person behind the property. The villa is beautiful. Three floors, four bedrooms, 2 living rooms, three balconies, a kitchen. There is a lot of square footage to spread out and relax here. The rooms have A/C. The view from every balcony and slider is beyond belief. High above the impossibly blue sea, you can see all the way to Praiano and Amalfi. And the view is even more gorgeous at night. Mornings I will remember for a lifetime. Location is central and excellent. Multiple good restaurants are a short walk; Da Vincezo, Next 2, Il Fornillo, Buca di Bacco others. The beach is just a walk down the hill about 15 minutes. Bring beach shoes!! Shopping is wonderful and everywhere. If you rent a car, there are multiple garages that are a short walk for about $20/day. One enters the Villa via a series of cement staircases starting up on Via Pasitea 172/178. It's about 90 steps down to the front door and back up to go anywhere. If you have physical limitations that would preclude climbing stairs, you may want to look elsewhere. In fact, if you have limitations, you may want to avoid the Amalfi Coast as stair climbing is part of everything you do. Everything. I personally believe that one would be crazy to complain about anything that happens in this beautiful place. So I won't. But I would offer these very few, simple suggestions pertaining to the villa. More and better bath towels would be a very small investment that means a lot. The matress in the top floor master suite was new but very, very hard. Locals told us it's an Italian thing. Besides that, Roberto's place is heaven on Earth. Grazie di Tutto Pat D. Sept 2016"

  • Très agréable séjour à Calvanico

"Pour les amoureux des belles maisons, vous serez comblez; une belle demeure partagée en bonne intelligence autour d'une cour intérieure engazonnée. Accueil sympathique dans un village qui l'est tout autant. Claudio"

  • Outstanding property - far exceeded expectations - stunning views, modern home, excellent hosts

"We chose to stay here based on the photos of the views, which unbelievably are actually considerably better than the photos show. Beyond that this was a wonderful place to live for a week. The historic home has very recently been remodeled and it is modern, fresh, spotlessly clean, and has more supplies in the kitchen than I have ever seen in a Homeaway house. There are two large patios with amazing views and both bedrooms also have large windows overlooking the sea. Outside the home there is a terrace with grape vines that could comfortably hold a party of 20. The large, beautiful, property includes extensive lemon groves, grape vines, and a vegetable garden. Additional amenities include a reserved parking space (very important in Ravello), modern security, gifts of food grown on the property and honey produced by the owner, and an additional full bath and washing machine a few steps outside. The home is owned by Marco and managed by his daughter Antonella. Marco was charming and showed me around the lemon farm. His daughter, who is multilingual, was the perfect host, immediately responsive, and helped us with great local suggestions. The street is quiet and feels very separate from the touristy area of Ravello - though it is just a 5 minute drive to the city center or 20 minute walk. For us, this property and visiting Ravello and the region, was great for relaxing, a lovely Italian experience, and learning some history. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are about 90 steps up to the home (and the region in general requires a lot of walking and stairs). This would not be suitable for someone with limited mobility though it is quiet and private and one can take their time if, like me, you are not used to that many stairs. I was remarkably impressed with everything about this stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ravello or the Amalfi region."

  • The most beautiful view and friendly host!!

"Giovanni was exceptional...met us at the parking area. Walked us up to the house...called the porter to carry our luggage up the 230 stairs for us!! Explained the entire house to us. Let us check in a day earlier than our reservation. Left us a beer and a bottle of wine in the frig. Was prompt in answering us if we had any questions. This is a fantastic place in positano..great location and the view is absolutely stunning. We would come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Giovanni for making our stay easy, comfortable and beautiful!!"
