  • Lovely amenities in central neighborhood

"Gabriella's family apartment was a wonderful space for our two families to stay in Rome. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and used the 3 bedrooms, sofa bed and provided crib. The sofa bed was easily used as another bedroom since it had a door separating it from the kitchen which doubled as a nice gathering area. The air conditioning worked well and Netflix was available making the kids happy. While we did not cook there - so much good food in Rome! - plenty of pots, pans, plates and glassware were available as well as a microwave, stove and dishwasher. It would be great for a stay longer than ours as well. The bathrooms were modern with the largest showers we had in Italy (still not competing with American suburbs, but I could raise both elbows at the same time!). One had fancy jets, etc. that my kid loved experimenting with. The location was great. 15 minutes walk to the Colosseum, 2 blocks from a cab stand (metered rates, so no worries), about 3 blocks from the Metro and 10 minutes from Termini, the main train station and main Metro stop. Out the door to the left is BAR where coffee and pastries were available starting at 7am. The only challenge we had was around laundry. You can't have all the air conditioners on and run laundry at the same time (or maybe only when it's 90 degrees F and everyone else has their AC on) without having to throw the breaker. Also, even after the 2 hour dryer cycle, laundry was still damp. We didn't see a line to use. The breaker was easily accessible by the front door and I think this is a Rome problem, not specific to this apartment. Gabriella did warn of this in advance. All in all, a great stay in a lovely, updated apartment!"

  • A very spacious & nicely furnished & decorated 3 BR & 3 Bath!

"We very much enjoyed our 2 nights in this very confortable & very well equipped 3 BR with 3 baths apartment. It was very spacious, clean & equipped to meet all our needs. Irina was extremely helpful & we very much appreciated her welcome gift of wine & treats and being allowed to check in 3 hours earlier. We look forward to re-visiting in the future for a longer stay."

  • Fantastic apartment in hip neighborhood

"This was one of my best rental experiences ever. We felt extremely lucky that we got connected to Commendable Rentals through our internet search. The apartment exceeded our expectations in size and location. It was perfectly set up for two or more people because it was on two levels. The owner was waiting to let us in and show us around. The main floor layout was great, with a balcony, dining area and generous sized living room. Once we rented the apartment online, we had the added bonus of working with Commendable Rentals. They sent us all sorts of great advice, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and even made dinner reservations. Adriana in Rome and Susan in the head office could not have been more helpful when I left our passports in the apartment and didn't realize it until I got to Venice. They took care of everything, even though it was New Year's Day. I will certainly recommend this property to my friends and I will be using Commendable Rentals for future trips. I have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and have never been treated with so much consideration and professionalism by a property manager."

  • The apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient to the Vatican

"We had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 11-17). One bedroom had a queen bed and cot. A second bedroom had a queen bed and cot. The third bedroom had 3 twin beds. The apartment was on the 5th floor and we usually took the stairs. There is a very small elevator to help with getting luggage up and down. The rooms are smaller than they appear in photos but were perfect for what we needed. The apartment had two bathrooms with showers, air conditioning, and wifi. It was clean and comfortable. Alessandra and Rosealba welcomed us when we arrived with freshly baked cakes and tarts. They were extremely kind and helpfuL. Alessandra arranged our transportation from the airport to the apartment and all went smoothly with the driver waiting for us as soon as we arrived. We walked to the Vatican from the apartment. There were markets and restaurants nearby. This a good, affordable alternative to staying in a hotel. Thank you Alessandra for a wonderful stay at the Vatican!"
