  • Wonderful Two Week Stay @ Pilrig House!

    "My husband and I stayed in the Garden Apartment at the Pilrig House for two weeks at the end of July and the beginning of August. The apartment was so spacious, modern and spotlessly clean, supplied with everything one could possibly need or want. Debbie and Philip are wonderful hosts - very knowledgeable about the area/attractions & transportation. It is about a 1/2 hour walk to city center but this was not an issue for us. Bus routes are very close by as well as local grocery stores. It was nice to come back to the quiet area of Leith and the apartment to get a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were so happy with our accommodation and would definitely recommend the Pilrig House to family and friends!"

  • Good apartment for 4 in walk up

    "The apartment is light and roomy, nicely accommodating the four of us (two couples). There is a dining room table that easily seats six. It is on the third floor of a walk up, so that is something potential renters should be aware of. The construction of the apartment is rather shoddy although complaints from prior reviews, such as a broken couch, have been addressed, with two comfortable couches and two chairs as well. The carpet in the bedroom needs a professional cleaning; perhaps this will be addressed when the tourist season is over. The location is near a busy restaurant block and an easy walk to Prince Street."

  • Lovely accommodations. Close to grocery. An uphill hike from New Town,

    "Jackie was absolutely a life saver when our luggage was delayed. She helped us coordinate delivery, as we had no UK phone. The toiletries in the flat also meant we did not need to buy replacements. I cannot say enough good about her personal touch."
