  • Perfect for a stay in Edinburgh

"We had a wonderful stay here over Christmas and Lynne made us very welcome indeed and was so helpful. The flat was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. We felt quite at home. There were some very thoughtful touches too that made it extra special and which were much appreciated. The flat is in a great location for exploring the city but is remarkably quiet too, a little haven. Thank you Lynne. We hope to be back in the future."

  • Family break

"We arrived for a much needed family break to celebrate our 25th anniversary and Marjorie was there to welcome us and show us around. The house is just amazing from the quirky art work to the spectacular views from the roof top conservatory. Great facilities, 3 double bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms ideal when travelling with adult children. It would be great for 3 couples too. The master bathroom is fabulous with the mood lighting and felt more like a luxury hotel. Wifi-essential for teenagers, allowed us to really chill. The house is ideally situated in Stockbridge near to great restaurants, good shops and the wonderful Sunday market. It is also only a 15 -20 minute walk uphill to Edinburgh centre, good exercise after a big breakfast! However, a good bus service is available for those who do not wish to walk. We visited the Christmas markets and Street of Light-all brilliant, a lovely time of year. Also visited the Edinburgh dungeon-great fun and Britannia-fabulous! This is a great house which wraps itself around you, with a friendly welcoming host. Would highly recommend and would love to return."

  • Concientient! Reasonably appointed, accessible to public transport, generous space for four adults.

"Secondary to lost luggage we arrived late to the Edinbothy. Ms. Giles was there to greet us,share a few extra minutes of her time and welcome our senior citizen group of 4. The facility is well appointed, comfortable, reasonably priced, conviently located in a lovely section of the city.A five star experience.William vandergriff"

  • Ideal location and size for a couple wanting to explore Edinburgh

"The central location close to Calton Hill with its magnificent views over the city was perfect for us. Edinburgh is a beautiful city to walk around and explore and most of the 'sights' are within walking distance. On this occasion we spent a large part of one day at the Botanical Gardens which provided us with a fabulous display of rhododendrons. We visit Edinburgh quite often as a family but this was a lovely apartment for just the two of us. Francois was most helpful, meeting us on arrival and making sure we had all we needed. The apartment itself was spotless and well equipped for two (though I couldn't find a hairdryer). The kitchen worked well for me to cook in and it was nice having a smaller sitting room overlooking the garden with a tv to relax in as well as the large reception rooms. In spite of the grandeur of the terrace the flat had a homely feel about it that we appreciated."
