  • Great place for our visit to Edinburgh!

"We had a wonderful stay at Jackie's apartment. Quiet location, lots of room and very nicely furnished. We booked at the last minute and Jackie made it possible by responding very quickly to our queries and providing useful info about the apartment. Next time we will book well in advance to make sure we get this apt.!"

  • Beautiful house for our trip

"I was one of the 6 ladies that Nadine spoke of. This was my first time abroad. This house is wonderful. The whole house is so clean, and so nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we could need, even a French Press coffee maker! We were blessed to be there for the festival and for the Tattoo. What an awesome treat! I would stay here again if I ever went back to Edinburgh. The walk to the market was easy and such a treat for me! Thank you Astra for making my special trip so comfortable. I celebrated my 66th birthday while I was there!"

  • A second terrific stay at a great place!

"After having stayed at the flat 3 years ago on a girls trip, when my hubby and I decided to visit Edinburgh as part of celebrating out 25th, we booked this flat. Patricia and her husband met us within a few minutes of arriving. As before the flat was spotless. I mean spotless - down to the baseboards. As before, they generously provided some provisions in the frig. Breakfast was an easy in apartment experience each morning. Wifi is great. Washing machine appreciated a week into travel. Not air conditioned but not an issue in June in Edinburgh! As others have referenced, the stairs would be difficult for someone with mobility or knee concerns. Location too, is unbeatable 5 minutes from Waverly. And only a bit more from the Waverly Bridge where you can pick up the Hop on- Hop Off bus for ready sightseeing. There is a Tesco close, but I'd suggest the Saines location in Waverly which looked to have all the key provisions you'd need and a little closer without a hill :-) We tried two restaurants very close to the flat that were both terrific: Guildford Arms and Cafe Royal. Note reservations are needed for Cafe Royal - though we were able to walk in around 6 as long as we finished by 7:30! Not over the top expensive. Recommend this place for a comfortable, convenient and clean stay!"
