The villa looks great in the pictures but it’s even better in person.Beautiful inside and out. The pool area is great, and the covered outdoor dining space it beautiful. One of the best villas we’ve ever stayed in and the villa owners/ managers on hand were great. Location is good for the town (although the town is limited) but the views gardens and isolation of the villa is great. Would 100% stay here again

This was our first trip abroad with our children (10 & 15yrs), and having never booked holidays using Vbro I was very nervous about what to expect.I had absolutely no need for concern, as Villa Evanthea was exactly as described, and more!!! Immaculately peesented, with a much welcomed basic shop of bread, milk and fruit on our arrival.Joanna the owner is the most amazing host you could ask for. She pooped round with a family sized Cretan pork casserole on our 1st night, with waa so lovely. She was always available to offer advise, and was so welcoming and friendly.The villa us set in beautiful mountains, with Melidoni cave a short car ride away ( or walk if you're up to it). 200m away is the Reptile Centre which is well worth a visit, along with the Honey Museum and Joanna's family olive oil factory.We will definitely be back!!!

Lovely large villa with ample space for the 10 of us. Had everything we could wish for. Villa owner was very hospitable, even gave me some flowers and a bottle of wine when he realised it was my birthday. We loved the location too. Excellent all round.

The property more than met our expectations and the kindness and hospitality of our host Amalia was exceptional. I would recommend the property whole heartedly the scenery, the facilities and the location were perfect for my wife and I on our second trip to Crete.

From the moment we arrived, at 1am, we knew we had found somewhere special. The owners had left us a veritable feast of produce and home cooked food. Stuffed tomatoes and peppers, wine, water, their own honey and olive oil. The villa itself is beautiful and has clearly been modernised recently. The air conditioning units were brilliant and the quality of fixtures and fittings excellent. There were seemingly dozens of towels provided for our use, which were changed after a week, as well as the beds which were very comfortable. The garden round the villa is beautifully kept and benefits from the most stunning panoramic view across the mountains and down to the sea. The pool was spotless and safe and there was also a table tennis table, swings and toys provided. The small town at the bottom of the hill from the villa has plentiful shops for supplies and we spent a lot of time in the fishing village of Panormos, about 10 minutes drive away. Rethymno was about 30 minutes drive. Even when the beds and towels were changed after a week, the owners left us a box of delicious pastries. We could not have felt better looked after. We can only thank Elizabeth for her kindness and care. We will be back!

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this villa. It deserves all the glowing reviews that it has had in the past. Dimitris is an outstanding host, who communicates very quickly and is very helpful. He helped us organise taxi transfers, was here to greet us, had lots of suggestions for food and places to explore. He even got lunch for us, telling me not to eat the airport food! The villa is beautiful. We loved swimming in the pool every day and then sitting in the hot tub, with the views of the sea on one side and the hills on the other. It was idyllic! The rooms and bathrooms are very elegant, and the little touches like robes and slippers are very welcoming. The service is excellent. Dimitris checked the pool and the cleaner came once mid-week to change towels and sheets. I highly recommend this villa. You will not be disappointed. In terms of location, we did not walk into Bali, but you could. There are many restaurants in Bali. There isn’t a big supermarket here, but there are several small ones that sell anything you need. Whilst here, we visited Livadi Beach, Knossos Palace back in Herklion, Rethimno, Lake Kournas, Aptithano (a honey museum and shop), Reptisland, where they let us handle lots of snakes, Melidoni Cave. The villa is as described and was perfect for our stay 6 girls. The out door area is superb and everywhere is really clean. The sunbeds are amazing !! If you want to visit a few places I would advise a car as the taxis can be a bit pricey. However the taxi company are super reliable and friendly we were given the number on arrival by the villa host. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk note villa is on a steep hill. The communication with the villa host is fantastic every questions was answered within an hour or less and was always friendly and accommodating. I would really recommend this villa if you are after a relaxing holiday and a quiet peaceful stay as there is not lots to do which was what we were after. The beach is 20 minutes by car and is really nice Evita beach is gorgeous. The host recommended a food delivery which was supported local women in business and it was excellent in fact it lasted us 2 nights worth doing. We really had a fantastic holiday thank you Vicky and all the girls.

Just an incredible place, just outside of Bali (in our opinion you need a car but is walkable in about 20 ish minutes) in the middle of the hillside and all you can here is the sound of the bells hanging around the goats neck on the hillside. It is truly amazing. The villa was spotless and we were welcomed like old friends and looked after all the way through our stay. We were welcomed with lots of goodies from wine, coffee, milk and fruit. I cannot reccommend this place enough its amazing !
