Our stay at Mittersteiner Hof was perfect—we stayed a week and wished it were two. Four of us visited the Dolomites for the first time, to experience these incredible mountains and explore the many Via Ferrata routes. Staying at this substantial country house, perched in an enviable position several hundred meters above the valley floor, is a true privilege. Everything about the property is brilliant: fantastic location, beautiful, spacious rooms, peace and quiet, spectacular views, and hosts who make you feel part of the family. Our recommendations: - You'll need a car—Mittersteiner Hof is on a hill. - Try a Via Ferrata—The hosts know the best routes. - Take a sauna at sunset—there's nothing like it. - Try the smoked fish—it will blow your mind. - Stay here—you won't forget it.

The apartment is beautifully prepared, clean and tidy with everything you would need. The location is very peaceful with only the sounds of nature. There are walks nearby and a very nice hotel just down the road from the chalet. Our hosts were very friendly and the Sudtirol tourist passes they gave us were superb. We used trains, buses and entry to lots of excellent museums in the area with them. Thanks for that.

The property is lovely. Well decorated and cosy but it was in the bottom floor of an unfinished building and workmen were noisy all day and woke us every morning. The listing includes photos that are not of this property and the description is inaccurate.
