    "We loved our stay at this condo...16 days in total. Lots of peace and quiet and as previous reviewer indicated, no daily maid service which is perfect for us as we prefer our privacy and to cook in...perfect unit if that is what you like. There is a seafood truck that comes around on Friday morning and we purchased from them twice...fabulous shrimp and scallops!! We used the BBQ twice when we arranged the propane from manager and enjoyed the pool and pool bar on a daily basis. The food at the bar is good and the Mexican and Fish nights are worth doing. Pepe, the bar manager is very easy to deal with, as is Jose at the front reception area...we arranged our excursion and car rental this way...great service. The neighbor restaurant Sunset and Mona Lisa are great...good food and beautiful view of sunset. We visit Mexico a couple of times a year and found the Cabo taxi fares pricey. Although a car is not necessary we recommend it if you plan to move around...we rented for 3 days of looking around and happy we did. There are frequent buses and a great restaurant at the top of the hill, near the complex entrance...one of our favorites. The beach is wonderful with lots of fish to see....it is a bit of a hike up and down stairs so if mobility is a concern, this is a good point to note. We loved this condo and Nicci and Glen were great to deal with...we will be back...thank you!!"

    "Wow!! What a great vacation! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were taken care of like none other!!! Our chef, Greg, was THE BEST!! And Gio took care of EVERY need possible! What ever the need, it was met!! And believe me, we had lots of requests and Gio made it happen!! The house the great and beautiful, but the staff is what made it an over the top vacation!"

  • Villa Desert was a relaxing, beautiful setting for our vacation.

    "The layout of the house was great with the large open kitchen and family room and spacious patio by the pool. The view off the patio and pool was spectacular. We also really enjoyed the beach club and the ability to walk over to have dinner at Esperanza. Our housekeeper could not have been more friendly. Kitchen was well equipped."

  • Great rental! Very pleased.

    "An excellent rental experience. Owner was always prompt with responding to any questions I had or information I needed. He gave some great tips on taxis and how best to utilize the resort. Penthouse was great. Please note that the exact unit is not specified, only that you are guaranteed a penthouse (there are nine on the property). Everyone has a fantastic view of the ocean. Ours was closer to the main lobby which meant we did have a small, unobtrusive parking lot view on one side of our unit (the other side was all ocean view as I mentioned). Initially, I was concerned, however, there is very little traffic going in or out of it (and it's quite small and landscaped in such a way that I soon forgot completely about it.) It ended up being a good spot for us as well as everything we used (fitness center, concierge, spa as well as main pool and poolside restaurant) was all a reasonable distance away. I see some reviews mentioning going all-inclusive- I'm sure some people may like the service but the owner himself suggested that we might actually prefer going into town for meals since there is so much good food in Cabo. I took his advice and I'm glad I did! The resort food was not nearly as good as our meals out. Please don't take this as a slight against the resort- I loved it- but let's face it- food is always better outside of ANY resort- Pueblo Bonito or anywhere. ) To be fair, I live in SF- and so I'm really picky about food. Some people may like the resort food- however "foodies" of any stripe (healthnuts, people with allergies, vegetarians, food snobs) will not love the restaurants on the property- excluding La Frida which is their signature restaurant. Staff was EXCELLENT. So kind, helpful and prompt. Concierge had great suggestions. I did not have one negative experience with anyone working there. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone. Pools were beautiful, clean and the pool staff was prompt with drinks, menus, food (strangely- my best experience with resort food was the pool service! For snack food (fries, nachos, tacos etc) it was pretty decent. All in all a great experience. The final tip the owner gave me was to tip in cash (not on credit, or putting the tip on the room bill). A great reminder! Who knows how much of the credit tips go to staff and tipping in cash was always appreciated."
