  • Absolute Best Place To Stay!

"I admit to being a bit skeptical upon booking my first B&B for a vacation. I'm so glad I didn't let that stop me! This place is absolutely AMAZING!! Our gracious hosts, Jim & Marty, were the perfect blend of friendly and professional. The rooms more than met our needs and were always clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms spacious. A lovely patio for morning coffee with the birds and the surf. A private dipping pool for those hot afternoon days when you want to just laze in the lounge and imbibe a cool refreshment. Breakfasts were prepared to perfection with lovely little daily twists. Large portions and amazing tastes and textures were a delight to look forward to each morning. Ecuadorian coffee is also a true delight for those cafe aficionados. The scenery was incredible, and surrounding villages were friendly and provided plenty of dining choices. The beach was large and, for the most part, clean and clear. While our hosts had absolutely no control over these external features, they made an excellent accompaniment to Casa WF. I'm not sure whether they accented our experience at Casa WF, or if it's the other way around. If you want to stay somewhere on the central coast of Ecuador and you're looking for a quality experience without the crowds and noise of a typical resort, THIS is the place to be. You will leave here feeling rested, pampered, and spoiled for any other experience. Thank you Marty and Jim! Bill"

  • Ocean breezes and Beautiful sunsets!

"We enjoyed a wonderful month at this beautiful condo, everything you could possibly need for cooking or comfort is provided. The very best location for early morning coffee on the deck, watching the surfers and waves rolling in. Beautiful sunsets at night! Doors in dining room and living area , open wide to enjoy ocean breezes. Lovely clean pool and well kept building. Bahia is a great little town , lots of great eating spots, friendly people, beaches ocean side and riverside. The Malecon runs along ocean front , around the Peninsula to river side of town. Great for long walks. The owners were very helpful, you receive a guestbook with all the information about the condo , Bahia, places to eat, where to shop. Phone numbers , any information you could possibly need is in the guestbook. There is also a manager to greet you , she is wonderful and helpful, happy to answer any questions you might have., We hope to come back again , many times!"

  • A little piece of paradise-living the dream at Casa WF!

"The thought of vacationing on another continent, in a Spanish-speaking country, off resort and in a rural fishing village on the coast of Ecuador was, to us, a risky venture. Our flight from Toronto had a lengthy layover in Bogota, Colombia then on to Guayaquil a very large city 240 km from the pacific coast. Had we to do this trip over we would have flown from Toronto to Quito then flown to Manta which is a mere 40 mins cab ride from Casa WF. We arrived at the B&B a little after 5AM in the dark during a rain storm. We were met by our hosts Marty and Jim with umbrellas and warm greetings in hand and we were quickly introduced to our very rooms which were both well decorated and very well appointed. It filled us with some confidence that Marty and Jim took the time to get up early and wait for our arrival and this initial act was a harbinger of the care and attention to detail that was to come. The suites were immaculately clean, the washroom and shower facilities I later told Marty were world class. There was satellite TV in the room but we never turned it on but I was told by our travelling companions it came with plenty of English language channel choices. Each morning the sun and surf opened our days and we had brought some coffee from Colombia which Jim and Marty happily brewed for us as we devoured fresh fruit and a truly delicious American breakfast sourced fresh from local markets. The breakfast serving always revolved around our schedule and we felt somewhat pampered and spoiled during our stay. San Jacinto and its neighbouring villages had a plethora of dining establishments. Jim and Marty thoughtfully explained the local cuisine, their favorites and even produced a Spanish language guide to the menus! All of our meals were very fresh, well prepared and could not say we had a bad meal. Marty and Jim's local knowledge and advice was key to our enjoyment to the Casa WF experience. They gave us many excellent suggestions on where to go and what to do and for that, we are grateful. They were respectful of our privacy while at the same time attentive to our questions and requests. Casa WF is located at a river mouth emptying to the sea and the ebb and flow of tide water creates an ecosystem of songbirds and seabirds all day long. The gardens and grounds are exceptional and the quiet and privacy of the location was key to the true "getting away from it all" experience. Our stay at Casa WF far exceeded our expectations. Thanks Jim and Marty"

  • The property was wonderful. Pictures don't lie.

"We just spent a month at Playa Dorada and loved every minute of our time there. The condo is on the 2nd floor so there is a beautiful unobstructed view view of the ocean and we spent plenty of time sitting on the balcony watching the waves, sunsets and paragliders landing on the beach. Opening the bedroom door and falling asleep and waking to the sounds of the waves was so relaxing. The condo was beautifully decorated and welk sticked with everything you need to cooj meals including spices which we added to. The buses and taxis were readily available as well as cheap and easy to figure out. The permanent residents at the condo were very nice as well as helpful and included us in activities such as triva night at the surf shack. We made some long lasting friendships. Many vendors come to the gate such as the bread guys selling fresh warm homemade bread, yogurt and pizza dough, fisherman selling fresh fish, a guy selling sausage and chutneys and of course the wine and booze truck. Shopping is just a 1.00 bus ride away, and the Monday market in San Vicente can't be missed. Peggy was awesome to work with and even contacted us while we were there to make sure all was well and solved the only issue in a couple of hours. Samia, the property manager was awesome and an angel. If there was a down side it would be that the living room furniture and bed were not extremely comfortable but we weren't indoors much. Thank you Peggy and Reg for letting us enjoy your home. We will definitely be back to Ecuador. This was by far our best experience with VRBO. It is peple like these that make vacations wonderful. Thanks again."
