  • close to 5 stars

"When the futon mattress on the couch and seat cushions (worn and stained) in the living room are replace I would have given it 5 stars for the price of the rental. The TVs in the pictures have been upgraded. The views from every room are great. The top deck has a table with 4 chairs. The middle deck also has a table with 4 chairs. They are in the shade most of the day, which is a nice break from the sun on the lake. The dock is about 3 stories from the top of the house, which isn't that bad for Smith Lake. The dock is two swim platforms put together. This is where we spent most of the day. One has a sun deck top which you can jump into the lake from. The basement closet has swim toys and chairs for the dock. A great bonus. Trident Marina is very close where you can rent a boat or Sea-Doo. We rented a Sea-Doo for the day and it was well worth it. We saw fish around dock but it was very hot and they weren't biting. Yes we would rent it again. It is a great place at the price point."

  • Beautiful Place to Stay

"The positives of this property far outweigh any negatives we found. All the rooms are decorated with a creative flair that makes it feel like a real home. The decks all the way down to the boathouse have comfortable chairs and loungers for sitting and soaking in the magnificent view. The pool table and foosball table provided entertainment as did the two large televisions. The dock with a slide was over deep clean water. You can actually see your feet in this lake as you tread water. The gas grill is HUGE, big enough to cook for a crowd. Wish I had taken my electric skillet because the stove top's largest eye was not big enough to heat up the whole pan at once so the bacon cooked uneven. The second day, I cooked over the gas burner outside. Three of the four GPS systems used to get to the house took us to the wrong place. We drove around for over an hour looking for the house. By the grace of God, one phone finally got us to the house. Turn by turn directions from town would have been nice. For day entertainment, we drove about 45 minutes away to rent a boat at Smith Lake Marina. With our own raft and rope, it made for an awesome day. I would highly recommend this rental!"

  • Great weekend getaway!

"My family and I wanted a weekend getaway to a lake we've visited often in the past. Stripevilla did not disappoint. The property was well kept and clean. The pier was fantastic. There was a diving board for the kids and jumping from the rooftop deck. Mike lives on the premises and has boat rentals available, which was very convenient. The fishing was fun as well. We had plenty to keep us active. Mike was very accommodating. We will definitely rent again!"
