  • Cozy Home

"This was a great home for our family of 7. Plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. The backyard is beautiful and a great place to just hang out and grill. Everything was clean and there was plenty of all the simple the things to make it feel like home."

  • Absolutely Amazing

"I would prefer not to tell everyone how amazing this place is so that it is available during our future trips to AK (stayed July 5-10, married couple). But the owners were extremely hospitable and even checked in to make sure everything was fantastic-which it was. It would be unfair to them not to praise their beautiful home. The kitchen has everything you need (including for baking, complex dinner meals, or basic Mac and Cheese), the windows have black-out shades for the summer nights, the view is spectacular, and the care/cleanliness of the house was great. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the view, plenty of chairs. We used the boats to go fishing (rods and lures also included). We watched TV one night, and it has your standard channels from what we saw. There are a few books for reading. And the wifi worked well. Full washer/dryer. If I had to list something that was not ideal, then I would mention there was only one bathroom. It was not an issue for us, but with three bedrooms, it could be for large families/groups. Otherwise, we will stay here again without even shopping around. But you should so you don't take our next booking. 😉 Thank you again to the owners. We loved our stay!"

  • Perfect breakfast sunrise.

"We stayed in this lovely Palmer home for a weekend of basketball at Palmer High School. Scott had a fire going for our arrival, which made the home extra cozy. We ate in the first night and the kitchen had everything we needed to throw together deluxe chicken salads. We prepared breakfast both mornings and the table had plenty of space for eating and visiting and transitioned right into great work space. The internet was fast and flawless. Both my husband and I were able to get considerable work done while we watched the sunrise each morning. The view of Pioneer Peak and the river valley is spectacular. All the bedrooms had comfortable beds and it was quiet all night long. Scott was a great host, waiting at the dark driveway with a light so we could find our way on arrival. He showed us around and instructed us on how to use the woodstove. He also checked in to make sure we had plenty of firewood on day two and gave us flexibility on our check out time on our departing day. Scott and Bettina's dogs were a big hit with our girls, we would have liked the little one to move in with us. We had a great dinner our last night there at Palmer Ale House and it was a very short drive home. Downtown Palmer, also just a short drive, has really developed as a nice walk around, shop, stop for coffee or a meal area. We all enjoyed time there, especially the bookstore and Vagabond Coffee Café. This cozy, peaceful, comfortable home met all our expectations and contributed to a lovely family weekend get away. We got to watch our boys play ball, too. We would definitely recommend it to friends and will consider staying there again next year."
