  • Tidy peaceful little cabin.

"As other reviews have said, they keep this place very clean. It's nothing fancy, but it's a nice little 2 bedroom cabin in a very quiet area. The landscaping could use a little attention but its not horrible. The quaint town of Hardy is just a few minutes drive away. Don't leave without eating at the Pig & Whistle! A very nice British guy owns it and the food is excellent British pub fare. We came down on Thursday to get in a couple days of fishing in before a scheduled weekend float trip. I had never been to this area before and the owner of my cabin told me I could cross through a gate that has a no trespassing sign and fish in the river which is about a hundred yards or so from the cabin. There are two cabins between this one and the spring River. The owner of the cabin closest to the river was upset that the owner of my cabin is telling people that they can fish in the river there. It is, in fact, private property he explained, and he has every right to not let people trespass. I agree. There are other public fishing access points a short drive away, though. This part of the river is more known for catfish and smallmouth bass. I decided to make the 15 min drive north up to Dam 3 for trout fishing. Fishing was very good considering how cloudy the water was from recent rains. We feasted on rainbow and cutthroat trout every day and still had plenty to bring home. Overall, it was a very nice getaway. You won't be disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. It is well stocked with everything you need if you prefer to do your own cooking. Just prepare to get an ear full if you try to fish at the section of the river closest to the cabin lol."

  • Little Rock Gem

"Three of us spent a weekend sightseeing and visiting the Clinton Library. The condo was perfect... Quiet, comfortable and a great close-in location. And many really terrific restaurants in the area. We would certainly stay there again."

  • Great house - perfect for 2 familes and/or lots of kids!

"2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 7-10, stayed in Cor's home for spring break. We were very happy with the condition and layout of the home. The adults took the upstairs' two master bedrooms - both were spacious with comfy king sized beds, tons of closet space, good sized bathrooms, lake view, direct private access to the porch. The kids pretty much stayed downstairs the entire time - their own bedrooms, bathrooms, pool table, fridge, and TV, as well as their own covered deck with seating. The only suggestion would be adding a door at the top of the stairs! While we had unseasonably warm weather, the water was too cold to swim, but we did make use of the kayaks, and Cor arranged a boat rental for us from a friend, which was a lot of fun for all. The gas grill was out of propane, but the housekeeper responded quickly to my call. We were disappointed that the waterfall wasn't on, but said it's turned off in the winter months. We caught tons of fish off the dock, including a huge bass, and we had lots of duck and deer visitors. We took a half day trip to Wegner Crystal mine - well worth the trip, and we collected LOTS of great crystals. The men played golf one day while the moms and kids went hiking up at Petite Jean State Park, which was fabulous. We also brought our own bikes and biked the Desoto trail - it was VERY challenging for us flat-landers, but fun. We did several of the hikes around the Village. Recommend the Last Chance Café for lunch, and dinner and 'ritas on the deck at El Jimador. We also ran the boat up to the marina for lunch, and it was lovely to sit on their deck and enjoy a cold beverage. All in all it was a wonderful time, and we'd love to come back!"
