  • Amazing. We will definitely be back.

"This is one of the best places we have ever rented for our vacation. Everything is as described in the property details. It is very well equipped, clean and the location is brilliant. It is quiet and well away from the neighbouring dwellings. You have the total sense of being alone in the woods. For getting to Yosemite it couldn't be any easier. On to the main road less than a quarter of a mile away, turn left and drive for around 30 mins depending on how many times you may stop to take in the amazing scenery on the route in. The hot tub was used daily, and is a perfect place to observe the very clear skies at night. The Milky Way is perfectly clear, and you can watch satellites and see shooting stars all the time. We were lucky enough to catch a meteor which was an amazing sight as it re-entered the atmosphere. There's plenty of wildlife to be seen too. We had deer and multiple bird species, including woodpeckers, in the grounds during our stay. We wished we'd used the annex/games room more but there is just so much to do in the area and Yosemite there just wasn't enough time. Mariposa is a great little town. Reviews elsewhere say that the Pioneer Market is expensive due to being the only place within 30 miles, but we found this not that true, maybe a dollar more than you would pay for a slab of beer for instance. The meat selection is great though, and perfect for the grill back at the lodge. So, if you love the outdoors and are visiting Yosemite, but also love looking at the night skies or wildlife, then this is the place for you."

  • Charming, Comfortable and Convenient

"From the moment we walked through the door of Vineyard View, we knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted by soothing jazz, cool air, and a view that stopped us in our tracks. Once recovered, we explored this charming home finding a spacious and comfortable flow of rooms attractively decorated. Kirsty and Jerry decorated tastefully and thoughtfully. Our beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were quaint and attractive, including a beautiful claw foot tub. The living room invited guests to sit and chat or read the large collection of books on Yosemite and the region. The kitchen was well equipped and each time we said ‘I’m sure she doesn’t have a …’, we found one. Then there’s the yard! We ate in the pleasant garden and under the trellis. We did morning yoga overlooking the vineyard, amongst beautiful rocks. We spent almost every night stargazing in the spa. During our week-long stay we visited Yosemite National Park four times. The ride from Vineyard View to the Park is gorgeous and allowed us to discover other interesting parts of the region. With Kirsty and Jerry’s suggestions (listed in a well-prepared binder in the home) we planned our travel well. Choosing Vineyard View made this trip affordable given the prices for lodging in the Park, that didn’t include these fabulous accommodations. We are grateful for finding Vineyard View and hope to return in the future."

  • Breathtaking

"This home is so welcoming and has everything you will need! Soon as we arrived we took a tour and the whole home is so comfortable! The grounds are magical. We heard deer, saw turkeys, hummingbirds, butterflies, birds and squirrels. We drank coffee every am on the deck and watched the world awake! This home would easily fit a large family, however it was just my husband and I and we found it to be extremely romantic! We spent one day exploring Mariposa, then then another at Yosemite, and another resting and hiking! The only issue I had which was minor was there is no fans or tvs in the bedrooms. I have to have a fan on, mainly for the noise not because its is hot in order for me to sleep, so that took a little getting use too. No tvs in bedrooms as well which was not easy either, as that is how we fall asleep. So the first two nights it was hard to fall asleep, but we then got use to it. We truly would go back in a minute, that is how much we loved our stay!!!!!"
