  • Felt like being in a fairy tale

"Looking at the cottage from the outside and any angle you can't help but feel like it's straight out of some fairy tale. It was gorgeous and cute and just what we needed for our short stay. After arriving and seeing the place and the surrounding area I was disappointed we weren't staying longer to enjoy it more. We were really only in the area to see Yosemite but it would have been nice to have a day to just hang around the cottage, pool and hot tub. I would highly recommend it. The caretaker Tony was great at giving a tour of the place and the resident dogs were quick to give you company whether you were just strolling through the property or diving into the pool. We didn't get to sit around a campfire and relax but we did enjoy some wine around the hot tub to refresh our sore legs (from hiking) - maybe we'll do a campfire next time."

  • Lovely Property in Nature

"I stayed at the Chaw'se house with 11 people. We were producing a wedding at a larger resort about half an hour away and needed to stay near by. Unfortunately I had to work 14 hour days so I didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities on property, but a few others did. The house was perfect for 11 people, and can comfortably fit 12 people (with people sharing beds). Theres's a gravel road today e to the property, so it's a bit off the beaten path...but nothing you shouldn't be able the handle. The road is even enough. Parking is not RIGHT up to the property, there's a sturdy bridge you must go over to get to the house but there's ample lighting and the care taker on property m greeted us in her 4 wheeler and offered to bring our groceries over for us which was very kind! There are two dogs on property, a peacock and lots of wild life. Our house was very clean, linens were new, they had goals set up and ready on a new grill when we arrived which was awesome. You should definitely bring food to cook on property as the store is a bit of a drive. The pool is nice, wifi is VERY limited. This would be a GREAT spot for a family reunion, or a small wedding if you bought out the whole property. Would definitely come here again!"

  • Convenient and comfortable cabin

"The cabin was clean and comfortable. Our family of 6 had a great stay here. The location was also very convenient. It was easy to visit all the spots within the park. We would definitely come back!"

  • Great place for family near Bass Lake and Yosemite

"We spent a week at this house and it was a great space for the entire family. The large dining table and wonderful spacious and well stocked kitchen made cooking meals at the house easy. We had 7 adults and 1 kid and I was worried about only having 1 shower but it was not an issue and we all tried our best to keep water usage to a minimum. I would love to see the house updated to have low flow water fixtures to help save even more water and also to have laundry available. The house was clean and well maintained and check in and out was very easy. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking to spend time near Bass Lake and South entrance to Yosemite."
