  • Sheephorn Cabin

"We recently booked a three night post Christmas stay at Jill's Big Bear cabin in the Moonridge area. It was a mini-family reunion for ten of us. First of all, we couldn't have asked for a more personable, helpful owner to deal with through VRBO. Jill was so accommodating.......She made me feel like I was talking to a dear friend, not like someone I just met through VRBO. The cabin was in a perfect location, very close to our previous second home close to Bear Mountain. Across the street was the perfect playground for snowplay for our four year old grandson, and even for all the young adults, avoiding the crowded snowplay and ski areas. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of blankets for all of us. Everything was there to make our stay comfortable. Of course there was the learning curve of familiarizing ourselves with a new home, which didn't take long. There were a couple small issues with the linen service, but just a text to Jill started the wheels in motion and she made sure everything was taken care of promptly. Thank you, Jill, for a wonderful holiday. We really enjoyed your mountain cabin!"

  • Warm, Comfy, & Spacious

"This is our first time resnting from VRBO. My wife booked this place for us, and I gotta say: This was her best choice yet! Even better than the places we've rented from AirB(?). And we've used them even out of State a few times. We pulled in from driving all afternoon. We arrived closer to 7pm, as it was New Year's Day, and the traffic heading up the mountain was horrendous. It had just snowed, so most inexperienced drivers were pulling over to put their snow chains on. The drive up the mountain took way longer than expected. So if you decide to stay here, consider the season and holidays. We pull in the drive way, and there weren't alot of street lights in this area around the house. So we couldn't appreciate the snow and view as much as it would in the daylight. But we already knew our stay would be worth it, with the nature around. I walk in, and I automaticaly fell in love. One of the things I noticed here in SoCal when I moved here to marry my wife, is the lack of carpet in houses. Granted it is not needed much due to weather, but it made homes feel welcoming. I was so glad this house was 85% carpeted (except the bathroom & kitchen)! Again, the mountains and snow called for it. Regardless, I was ecstatic. The place was clean. Immaculate. There were no smells or scents of any kind. It was as if it was never used. All furniture (couches, beds, chairs) were comfortable. The fireplace was an added bonus. It defintely kept the living area warm, inviting, and a memorable treat to have with my family. We had pictorials as well! My wife's iPhone 7+ was worth every penny. It is about a couple of blocks from a small strip of businesses (2 restaurants, and about 2 other store fronts), across the small lake. This little town is so beautiful. But you can also keep driving down for about 3-5 miles for a slightly bigger town (Deer Lick. It really is not that bigger, but just with more choices.). It also means alot more people. But back to the place: You will not regret this house. We made meories with my small family (wife and 3 year old daughter)! You will definitely enjoy it. It is located perfectly. We plan to return here in a dryer, warmer weather for a diferent perspective. Can't wait already!"

  • Another Wonderful Stay!

"Thank you Chris for another wonderful stay at Creekside. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed with your cabin and the amenities. A lovely getaway of relaxation from the city noise. Thanks again. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Wonderful family fun!

"This cabin was a great fit for our family of 14, ages 3 years to 65. Plenty of room for all of us. The cabin was very cozy, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Parking for everyone. We really enjoyed the fireplace, game room, and spa. The children went from snow to spa. We got plenty of use from all the snow toys in the mud room. It was so nice not to have to bring sleds and saucers with us. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach. She answered all our questions before, during and after our stay."
