  • Spectacular views and lovely home!

"We recently spent a week at Whale Watch in late August/early September 2016. The views from the property are spectacular! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the surf, sunsets and sea lions. The home is spacious for three couples and each having our own bathroom was a huge plus. The kitchen is the best-equipped we have seen in a rental. So much so that we cooked in five of the seven nights (with trips to the Harvest Markets in both Fort Bragg and Mendocino) to enjoy the great wines we purchased on our day trip to Anderson Valley. Loved being close to Mendocino, Fort Brag, Russian Gulch and Jug Handle Preserve (which is a must -- do the entire hike!). Jackie was great to work with. She left clear instructions, was available prior to the trip to answer our many questions and promptly refunded the damage deposit. We look forward to visiting Whale Watch again soon! Thanks Jackie!"

  • Perfect location, perfect cottage

"Once again, we had a wonderful stay at this cottage in the village of Mendocino. The location is perfect with no need to drive to restaurants, shops or hikes along the bluffs."

  • Beautiful location, very comfortable cottage equipped with all the essentials.

"Loved staying here and I was sorry to leave! The property is beautiful with incredible ocean views, great local hikes and points of interest. Cathy does a great job and is available if you need a tip or assistance. She prepared a comprehensive guide with her recommendations for hikes, eating out, wineries to visit , etc and the tips were spot on. The cottage is cozy, great for reading and well stocked with classic literature. The only downside was I couldn't get any wifi. But that actually became the upside and encouraged me to take advantage of hiking, star gazing and reading."

  • Amazing Wedding venue!

"We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Spring Ranch this May. It was the ideal location to have all of our wedding festivities. We had the whole property for the weekend, including the Victorian house, the Honeymoon suite and the event barn. It was all wonderful. The house held our family and friends perfectly - we had 8 adults and 2 kids sleeping there. It had everything they needed for a comfortable stay, and more. The Honeymoon suite was also incredibly lovely. Very comfortable and cozy for the couple. It was also an ideal spot for the bride to get ready. Again, had everything that we need and lots of little touches that contributed greatly to our weekend. The event barn was also perfect. It was really easy to work with the owners, our event planner and the rental company to make sure that everything was set and ready to go for the big days (we held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all on the property). It was beautiful, comfortable and fun. Being able to bring lots of our own decorations and alcohol was also a huge plus, and saved us a good deal of money. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a wedding venue. We found it was a great combination of natural beauty, comfort, and convenience. The owners are great to work with. And many of guests told us ours was one of the best weddings they had ever been to!"
