  • Wonderful property with gorgeous views and perfect location.

"We were in the Jade's Tower for a 3-night stay and we could have easily stayed for a week! This property is even better in person than the published photos. The grounds surrounding the Tower are lush filled with beautiful plants, flowers, shrubs, fruit trees and more. It is located just a couple of blocks from Main Street, which is nice if you like peace and quite while relaxing at home. The views especially from the bedroom upstairs are stunning! The property managers (Winnie and Andy) were nice, responsive and Virginia the owner was also responsive and accommodating. The property is well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishware, etc. The furniture--sofa, chairs, and bed were all comfortable. Wifi was very good and TV and Bluray player worked well. We will definitely rent the Jade's Tower again when visiting the Mendocino coast."

  • August 2016 Escape to Mendo (part 1)

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our annual August getaway and fourth stay at the Bluff House. I'll start with the bad: The controls for the outdoor spa aren't working properly. You can't adjust the temperature - it's very HOT. Left the cover off in an attempt to cool it down but I think that just made the heater work harder. The house wasn't as clean as on our past visits. The kitchen needed a thorough cleaning (the stove top & cabinets were grimy), the bathroom showers are collecting mold at the bottom edges and the baseboards need cleaning. Every interior and exterior door was dirty around the knob area & adjacent jamb area. Pretty gross - I spent a good hour or two washing door knobs. My allergies acted up and I'm assuming the prior renters had a dog as there was white pet hair on the rug in the living room and in the dust pan when I swept the kitchen floor on day two of our stay. It was that or the sofa and loveseat are in need of cleaning. Now the good: Sheets & towels were clean. They use a linen service now so you get fresh towels & linens (as opposed to "house" washed with over-perfumed laundry soap). The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and silverware and cooking items. The appliances are in good working order. The living room is VERY comfortable with ample seating and lighting. TV works great. The view is amazing. You are on a bluff overlooking the ocean. You don't see or hear any neighbors because this house is situated on it's own little "peninsula". It's a short walk to town. (There's no walking path so I wouldn't recommend it after dark.) The property management team is phenomenal. The provide a generous welcome package that includes fresh flowers, brandy with snifters, and a lovely bottle of white wine in the fridge."

  • Amazing Wedding venue!

"We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Spring Ranch this May. It was the ideal location to have all of our wedding festivities. We had the whole property for the weekend, including the Victorian house, the Honeymoon suite and the event barn. It was all wonderful. The house held our family and friends perfectly - we had 8 adults and 2 kids sleeping there. It had everything they needed for a comfortable stay, and more. The Honeymoon suite was also incredibly lovely. Very comfortable and cozy for the couple. It was also an ideal spot for the bride to get ready. Again, had everything that we need and lots of little touches that contributed greatly to our weekend. The event barn was also perfect. It was really easy to work with the owners, our event planner and the rental company to make sure that everything was set and ready to go for the big days (we held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all on the property). It was beautiful, comfortable and fun. Being able to bring lots of our own decorations and alcohol was also a huge plus, and saved us a good deal of money. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a wedding venue. We found it was a great combination of natural beauty, comfort, and convenience. The owners are great to work with. And many of guests told us ours was one of the best weddings they had ever been to!"

  • Mendocino stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this property. Perfect location. Just steps away from ocean. Convenient to everything. Only suggestion is to put draperies in the master bedroom to block out the light from the lighthouse. Made it a little difficult to sleep, but draps should easily solve this."
