  • Our best family vacation ever at this wonderful home!

"We are an extended family of 7 adults plus 1 infant, and we had looked at every pixel of the the house photos online for 7 months prior to our arrival. The owners Pam and Al are always available if they are needed, and they were very gracious hosts. My very first impression upon entering was that the photos, as nice as they are, still don't show you how impressive this home really is! We were all wowed upon entering even though we knew what to expect. It's very true to say anything you need for indoor or outdoor life is provided in the house. The beach equipment was perfect - umbrellas, 2 beach buggies to carry it all, and beach chairs galore. The kitchen is an absolute joy to work in, it has more appliances than we could ever use in one week, and the dumb waiter is a huge blessing bringing items to the second floor. We fit our entire family around the kitchen table for every meal instead of the formal dining room because of the gorgeous views. The location is a short walk from town, and the beach access is directly across the street with both a ramp or stairs. This town is very health conscious so we were constantly entertained by happy people moving up and down the street in front of the house doing their daily exercise routines. Feeling good and healthy was catching - we felt years younger when we left than we arrived!"

  • Our Mission Beach Experience

"The weekend of October 2, 2016 was one that will be remembered for a long time! My friends and I had a great time. The only low point was when the power went out at approximately 4am on October 2, 2016, the day of the Saints game. We left at approximately 10am and the power had not come back on yet. It would have been nice to have a gas water heater so we could have taken hot showers before going to the game (the gas stoves worked perfectly though). Also, we were unable to watch any of the pregame shows which is sort of a ritual for most of the members of my crew. On our end, we did have a "friend of a friend" we had just met that parked in the wrong parking spot and we were "notified" (while at the game) that we had to get the vehicle moved asap. I did whatever I could to contact the person and get him to move the vehicle. The vehicle was parked there less time than the power was out and it appeared no one was inconvenienced by this because the lower unit wasn't occupied. The location was really nice and we had a really nice time, albeit minus the inconvenience."

  • Perfect!

"When looking for a place to stay I always look at the reviews. Mostly the ones with low ratings to see why. I cannot give this property even one thums down. The location, in general, and on the property is fab. Could hear the ocean waves all night long. Great view and EVERYTHING one could possibly need is close by. Ralphs right down the street, beach in front of you, restaurants in every direction. Place was well equipt for cooking. Everything from blender, pots, pans, microwave. She has it all. Owner is wonderful, easy to work with and communicate with."

  • Very comfortable and convenient

"Had a fabulous time in SoCal based out of Susan's very well appointed place. Big private deck with soul satisfying view of the ocean and comfy loungers and patio set. Nicely retro Hawaiian theme and rattan makes it feel homey and laid back. Lots of room. Very clean. Close enough to everything you want but far from bustle and noise. Susan is a welcoming host who knows how to take care of people and has gone out of her way to provide whatever she thinks guests might need, including beach towels and bicycles. We'll happily go back whenever we are in the area."
