"Great location. We enjoyed all of the beach toys and bikes. We loved being close to both the bay & beach! We would stay here again. Thank you for a great Spring Break family vacation."

  • Clean and comfortable

"Great location, close to everything! Beds are comfortable and kitchen amenities are adequate. The area felt very safe too. Grocery store is just a few blocks away. The weather apparently was unusually hot and humid during our stay. There isn't any AC to cool the place down and sadly, just opening the windows didn't exactly do the trick either. Several windows were missing screens too. We spent most of our time exploring the beautiful area...Pacific & Mission Beaches, LA Jolla, The Gaslamp District, Coronado, and the zoo in Balboa Park. Therefore, we didn't have much time for television. However, there isn't any cable service here, only Netflix and Sling TV. Again, not an issue for us. The only really confusing thing about this property is all the remotes. It seemed that ALL of the lights and ceiling fans had to be turned on and off via a remote instead of a regular light switch. They tried to label all of the remotes, but because there were SO many remotes, (some were located in a bowl with the TV remotes) you had to look at all of them to try to find the correct one for any given light or fan. What's wrong with regular light switches? Keep it simple! Overall, I would recommend this place to others, and I would not hesitate to stay here again."

  • Look no further, have your vacay here!

"Wow, Casa de la Playa was a gem! Its perfectly located on the quiet side of this strip right in front of lifeguard tower 19 with 2 minutes walking distance to a bakery, coffee, breakfast-lunch-dinner, ice cream, cheap water toy rentals, bike rentals. I had 2 kids ages 8 and 4 that were able to shoot off to the water upon waking and were were able to watch them from the kitchen while we made breakfast! We spent 90 percent of our waking hrs on the patio people watching or having a bbq. The weather was perfect the whole 10 days and other guests were so friendly. The unit was comfy, very clean and had everything we need. Owners Paula and Bart checked in on our upon arrival and quickly attended to any questions or requests we had. We will work it out so we can visit again very soon!! Thank you, Paul and Bart!!"
