  • Convenient, Comfortable and Well Appointed--We were TOTALLY satisfied with this property--No steps

"We had a 4 night trip to Wine country and this was perfect. We were in walking distance to the wine train and dozens of restaurants and shops. The kitchen was fully equipped--we cooked breakfast and snacks. The parking was convenient--just a few steps from the back door with no step ups (I could roll my suitcase all the way from my car to my room). The library is across the street and I bought a couple of books for the plane-ride home at the friends book store. The area seemed safe and was definitely walker friendly-- I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the Ambassador tour on the wine train--went to Krug and Raymond wineries and had a great lunch. We spent one of our days in Sonoma--I am a white wine fan and those wineries produce more of this type. Anyhow the whole experience was great fun."

  • Great House, Great Location

"We had such a fun weekend. The proximity to the beach can't be beat. The kitchen is updated and has everything you need. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you chose to eat out. The backyard is an added treat. Thanks Brian! We are looking forward to coming back this summer!"

  • I would definitely stay here again ... and again ... and again.

"Michelle's studio was perfect for my extended weekend in SF! Close enough to everything but just far away enough from the city center so you have a local neighborhood feel. Getting around is easy. A MUNI bus stop is just steps away if you want to use public transportation. The easiest way to get to the Union Square area by MUNI is to take a bus to Castro and 17th and then transfer to an underground MUNI at the Castro station. It's not difficult at all! Those undergrown trains can take you to straight to Powell Street or the Embarcadero. If you prefer the car share route, a number of Ubers always seem to be in the neighborhood. I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes after I requested a ride. If you want to ride solo, the trips to and from the Union Square area seem to run anywhere from $10-18 depending on the time of day. If you don't mind doing an Uber pool, I don't think I spent more than $9 to get to the downtown area. If you want to explore the 24th Street area and the Mission neighborhood, both are easily accessible if you want to be a cool kid and get away from the tourist-y downtown. I must mention that Michelle is super cool! You'll appreciate how responsive she is to your messages. She really does make you feel like you have a home away from home in SF. A bottle of wine for you when you get there because, hey, this is SF. The little chocolates were very nice too. The studio has everything you would need as a home base for your SF trip. A kitchen with a stove and refrigerator makes it possible to go shopping at the farmers' markets and have all those goodies readily available for midnight snacks. There's a heater if you get chilly at night. There's also a closet with extra towels and blankets in the event you need them. Like I said earlier, I would definitely stay at Michelle's sweet suite again ... and again ... and again."

  • Thoughtfully laid out, great location near park

"Pros: Gem in Santa Rosa with great deck, backyard, hot tub. Location very close to the park. Great space for small groups of people. Owners were very nice. Kitchen well-equipped. Cons: Communication with owners was a little bit delayed. A few more window screens would have been nice so we could leave the windows open instead of A/C since there are mosquitoes. Overall, everyone was impressed and it was great value."
