"Our family felt comfortable and well taken care of in the home. We were easily able to access many restaurants and hiking trails. We will definitely be returning."

  • Yurt living at its best!!

"Thank you so much to Jean and Bill for their amazing yurt! I had such a wonderful and healing time there surrounded by nature. If you have never stayed in a yurt this is the one to go for it with! You have all of the amenities you could imagine, yet you feel very connected to nature. You can hear the creek even in the late dry summer. The stars at night are phenomenal. The bed is so comfortable. The bathroom is lovely. I can go on and on! The deck outside is fantastic. And Mt. Shasta is a must see!"

  • Beautiful, Fully Furnished Modern Cabin

"We booked the Mcloud cabin for three nights. My in-laws live in Portland and The Mt. Shasta area is a good half way point. The location was a little more remote than I expected, but for our purposes this was perfect! We wanted to cook, eat, visit, and enjoy the outdoors with family, and we did all of this! The cabin was clean and modern. We loved the open living space, secluded bedrooms (we have a 2 and 4 year old so having space for them to nap and go to bed early was key), little meadow, and creek just down the path from the house. We saw deer around the fire pit every day and my kids thought this was the greatest thing. The kitchen was more stocked than we could have hoped for. Everything from cast iron cookware to an electric griddle to an apple slicer. We all enjoy cooking, so having such a well stocked kitchen was a wonderful surprise. We would/will be definitely staying here again!"

  • Beautiful View

"This unit is located in a secluded area with a fantastic view of Mt. Shasta from the living room, master bedroom and the deck. We stayed in August and the weather was very hot during the day but cooled off nicely at night. The unit has 2 portable a/c units that struggle to keep up in the afternoons. I cleaned the filters (one unit was especially dirty) to improve their efficiency but they still struggled. More and better solar window shading will help reduce the heat build up. The kitchen was adequate but did blow a fuse using the microwave and toaster at the same time. Finding the breaker box was a challenge and instructions in this event would have been helpful. There were rechargeable flashlights throughout the house but none worked (time to replace). The biggest drawback for us were the daily mouse droppings in the kitchen and my wife HATES mice. Overall we had a nice visit to the area."
