  • What a Wonderful Relaxing Getaway

"I rented this beautiful cabin for myself, daughter and granddaughter to just relax in for 3 night. We had a wonderful stay. She brought her dog who loved the area too. Mona and Ken were amazing hosts. They had a crib ready for our arrival. The place was clean and had an amazing view of the river. We enjoyed just hanging on the grass watching the sun pass over us thru the trees. It was so relaxing. They had menus of special restaurants to visit, but we just wanted to cook in the cabin and enjoy all the quietness the area had to offer. They are just feet away from a train that passes by from time to time. It is loud, but I actually found that enjoyable. I would run my 14 month old granddaughter out to wave at the train, and the engineer waved back. It was really special and I'm sure she will have that memory embedded someplace in that head to reflect upon in years to come. We visited the town of Mt. Shasta for lunch and strolling the main street for their fair. Wonderful people who are just happy to be together. We will be back and I'll bring more of the family. Thank you Mona and Ken. We look forward to seeing you again very soon."

  • Very clean and comfortable stay.

"The house was very clean, well stocked and taken care of. There were lots of nice little touches. We were a party of three couples. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom which I think was the best out of the three. One couple reported that their bed was softer than they liked which affected their sleep. We liked the proximity to the downtown, the beautiful local park, fishing, and the beautiful roads leading to McCloud. We spent a couple of hours in McCloud visiting the little shops and going to a great coffee place with a very good bakery. Much of the weekend it was pouring rain and the house kept us warm and snug. On the flip side, having no internet access was definitely an inconvenience. Some of us had work to do which required the internet. Others of us had to use a ton of our data since there was no connection. All in all, we had a good stay. We would recommend this house to others especially if the internet gets fixed. Thank you!"

  • home away from home

"The old mill house is an ideal location as a home base for your outdoor adventures. The home has such a great family history to it, that you can't help but feel like you are a part of the family. The immediate surroundings offer golfing, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. It is a fun home to stay at, and once you do, you will most certainly be counting the days until you can come back!"
