  • A Great House

"The house is in a quiet section of Aspen. Our party appreciated the neighborhood and the calm nature of the location. We housed 12 people in the house for a wedding. We had guests from all partts of the US and overseas. The layout of the house worked exceptionally well for a group of this kind. The bedroom layout allowed for privacy, but not isolation. Bathrooms were great and sufficient for all guests. The common areas (living, dining, kitchen) were centrally located and well sized. The outside deck was a nice "get-a-way" space despite some road noise. This was an excellent housing solution for our party and Jeff, the owner, was willing and ready to help in any way he could to make our stay comfortable - he ceratinly will go the extra mile."

"Aspen is one of my favorite places on earth and this house helped make it that way. Walking into this house was amazing. Everything is done in first class style…from the chefs kitchen to the beautiful hardwood floors to the many large fireplaces to the insane view of Aspen Mountain. It is absolutely beautiful. There was more than enough room for our party and we utilized all the amazing amenities during our stay. The location of 110 Neale is fabulous. You are literally just a couple of blocks from the gondola and downtown so we walked everywhere! The homeowner could not have been more helpful in suggesting activities, chefs, and cleaning services. It was extremely helpful in planning a once in a lifetime vacation. We loved everything so much we are all excited to go back! I would recommend this house and all that comes with it to anyone!!"

  • This Penthouse is not a condo - awesome

"The description here of "Penthouse" is accurate! This place is a single unit above a shop right in the middle of downtown. It was a great location, seriously could imagine the love for this place in high season. By far the best part about this place was the hot tub on the roof - very private and great views. We brought our dog and there are three parks within two blocks that made things easy enough for us. I had no worries about the dog staying in what looked like a designer showroom which says a lot about the quality of the place. Thank you! There were a couple cons however: 1) Communication was a bit hit or miss - I think the owner might be new to the VRBO scene because Kristine was fantastic about directions, but the checkin/checkout process was sparse. We didn't have wifi for the first day and I hope we weren't supposed to take the trash out because I didn't see any instructions. It was a bit confusing as to where we could legally park in the middle of downtown as every street says you will be towed from 3-7am. FYI, there is a parking garage at $15/day. Kristine was nice and learned from our experience so I think it will improve at this property. 2) Don't stay here if you aren't a morning person. The trash truck comes right down the alley at 8:30am EVERY day. I thought maybe just Monday but no, every single day it sat outside our window. Very noisy and even as a heavy sleeper I couldn't sleep through it. Another note is that October is the "off season" in Aspen and it's not a knock against the property at all as I realize we got an amazing rate because of it. Simply an FYI for others staying in the area that off season means all of the good restaurants are closed!! I'm a big Yelper and Kristine had some recommendations too and we didn't get a chance to try them - bummer. Overall the stay was pleasant and the weather was pretty good for us to enjoy some hiking. Thanks Kristine for sharing your space with us!"

  • It's All About The more!

"This property has beautiful views of the mountains stretching from Aspen mountain to Snowmass and beyond! As an added bonus, you get to see airplanes arrive & depart from the Aspen airport (your own daily air show)! But, you are far enough away from the airport and hwy 82 that the noise factor is minimal. The description of the home is correct...elegant, chic, funky. This house is NOT "over the top Aspen glitzy"'s more fun & has more character. You enter the home on the level where you find the guest bedroom & bath. The loft is a steep climb from the entry level (has a bed in the loft, but basically this area just serves to enhance the property by giving it higher ceilings). The main living area & master bedroom/bath is downstairs from the entry. The master bedroom is big and has a comfortable queen bed along with a claw foot tub in one corner of the room...the master bath also serves as the main floor bathroom. This bathroom has a "sunken, open shower" which is cool, but has a few deep steps to get into it (no annoying glass shower doors to keep clean). If stairs bother you, this may not be the right place for you, but we found it easy & comfortable and the stairs were just part of our daily workout. We travel with 2 dogs who are part of our family...there are no trails within walking distance from the property, but a short car trip down the mountain hooks you up with many trails to walk, bike or hike. Personally, all I ask is if you rent this property (and you should) that you properly pick up and dispose of any pet waste (even in "natural areas" waste builds up and should be removed) ...respect the property. The owner lives in an attached house, but you rarely see her and the homes are built in such a way that privacy is not an issue."
