  • True ski in -ski out luxury condo!

"We had such a wonderful time in Crested Butte and your beautiful mountain home!! The weather, snow and location were perfect!! We enjoyed the hot tub daily and met the nicest people staying at West Wall. There is a real sense of community there. Staff and the other guests really wanted to be helpful , share info about places to eat , best runs to ski and all the " happenings" around town! Front desk also arranged to get our lift tickets that we picked up upon check in. Black Tie Ski Rental met us in the locker room with all of the needed ski equipment. Top of the line and so comfortable!! They also had ski essentials ( goggles) available for purchase there by the lockers. You really have the most perfect condo location in the world!! Truly ski in ski out - Right out the back door!! The Peachtree and West Wall lift connected us to every inch of the mountain! We loved watching the skiers and lifts out the large windows! We really appreciated all the amenities of your condo! Loved the humidifiers, well stocked kitchen , top of the line appliances/utensils , washer and dryer, comfy beds and first rate linens and towels. Very homey and comfortable !!! Had everything we could possibly need or want!! We walked to The village and took the town bus down to Crested Butte two nights. Nice walk , safe and ice/snow free sidewalks. Loved the Secret Stash Pizzeria- eclectic decor and amazing pizza and stuffed mushrooms. Also , we enjoyed the new Umbrella Bar at the top of Painter Boy and Gold Link lift. Beautiful spot to stop at the end of the ski day for hot drink and a 360 degree view of the mountains. Best vacation ever !!! Thanks again !!"

  • Great time in a Great condo.

"A perfect condo for my son and I during our travels. Everything was there for us, and the location and view were great. The central common area with the hot tub and BBQ were quite close and made it easy to cook and relax. Highly recommended."

  • 2nd time visitor

"I had the joy of spending the last week in March at this gorgeous mountain retreat with my daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and their friend's family. We filled this lovely home with laughter and fun as we turned it into our home away from home. My son-in-law is an avid snowboarder and introduced the grandsons (ages 3 and 5) to skiing. The boys along with 3 adults in our group took advantage of the ski school offered at Mt Crested Butte. In one day they had all gained some degree of ease on the skis. By the 2nd day, the 5 yr old had actually gone up on the lift. We were all thrilled to see the entire family on skis! And it was a delight for me to make the short trip to the slopes and watch their progress. The home itself is fabulous! It has every amenity one can imagine. Our entire party consisted of 7 adults and 5 children (ranging in age from 18 months to 5 years). We were all more than comfortable and each had privacy. We shopped for groceries in Gunnison and prepared most of our meals in the fabulous kitchen. The restaurant grade gas range is a dream to cook on! We ate several great meals in Crested Butte on the days we shopped in the quaint shops in town. Never had a bad meal! BTW, there's a great grill on the back deck for steaks! But being from the old school, I enjoyed having family dinners at the huge dining room table at the house. When we weren't eating or snacking, we had fun times playing board games with the children. (I highly recommend Pie Face. The kids and adults loved it.). The home has numerous games there but I brought some too, including Pie Face. One night just adults went out to eat. A babysitting service from the ski school was used and she handled 5 children with ease. When we weren't skiing or eating, I took long walks around the area; played with the children in the snow; built snowmen and had snowball fights; watched the boys sledding; read a novel and rested. My son and son-in-law hit the hot tub every afternoon enjoying the hot water as snow blew on their faces. Several nights we built a roaring fire in the fireplace and watched movies. As you can tell, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. Hopefully, my grandchildren will become great skiers and I can continue to visit this majestic area with my entire family. One dream I have is to return in the summer for the wildflower festival!!! Thanks for many memories that have already been made during our stays in your beautiful and gracious home!"

  • New Years Stay.

"The condo was perfect. Condo was clean and enough room for 4 couples. No problems with accessing unit and ski lifts were just a few minutes away. Definitely would recommend Black Bear Lodge."
