  • Lovely Stay Near Telluride

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home very near Telluride Mtn Village. The home is spacious (3 levels) with mountain views from the master bedroom and main level patio, and pretty forest views out every window. A large male buck wandered up to the house twice during our stay and meandered around the property as we enjoyed his proud and fearless manner. We were unfamiliar with the kind of radiant heating that works in this house, so contact Bill as we did if necessary to ensure that all controls are properly set and windows closed throughout the house. He was very available and helpful as we settled into the home, so don't hesitate to ask him for assistance. Doing so sooner might have saved a trip to the store to replace batteries in the Dish TV remote, and it would have saved some trouble-shooting only to find out that the main fireplace was broken, but these were minor inconveniences in an otherwise outstanding experience. We particularly enjoyed the sun-room off the main living area where we enjoyed the plants and played board games during our stay. We found easy to follow instructions for the DishTV (excellent selection of channels) and DVD player. My traveling partner stayed in the upstairs master bedroom which turned out to be an unexpected God-gift as she used the large table at the window as a beautiful setting for her planned time working on her art journal. When not relaxing at the house, we enjoyed a hike up to the base of Bridal Veil falls, taking the free Gondola through the ski area and down to Telluride, and attending the Alpine Chapel on Sunday morning. We hope very much to return for another stay at this home in the future."

  • Comfortable house with awesome views in quiet culdesac w/ easy access to town shuttle

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely home with our two little dogs for over a week. The house is situated on a quiet culdesac on the east end of town. Short 2 block walk to the Goose (free town shuttle) that was very convenient. We never drove our car while we were there. Often, we just walked into town to the restaurants and bars. (Full disclosure: the 2 blocks are uphill on the way home.) The house is located right next to the cemetery, where dogs are allowed to run (either officially or unofficially, not sure). Also, there is a trail on the other end of the culdesac that we saw people walking their dogs on. Since it was just the 2 of us, we only used the master bedroom area (top floor of house) so my review doesn't address the lower-level with more bedrooms and full bathroom. The master area was very nice and comfortable. Lots of closet space, comfortable king bed, updated bathroom with two vanities, large steam shower and AMAZING view. Kitchen is updated, large and well stocked, which opens into a large living room w/ the same AMAZING view as the master bedroom above it. For the little cooking we did, the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was responsive, easy to work with and accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever get back to Telluride. P.S. We rented a locker at Paragon, just across from the free gondola. We left our ski stuff there so we didn't have to drag it back-n-forth every day. Very convenient."

  • Best Spring Break ever...

"Our family of 4 stayed at this unit for spring break, and found it to be perfect. It is very conveniently located, with easy access to the Double Cabin run, and the grocery store and Gondola are just across the street. But what made it really stand out were all the little extra's provided by the owners - it made us feel really at home! We certainly hope to go back."

  • Spacious mountain retreat with a spectacular view!

"The Eagle's Nest has all the comforts of home in a wonderful setting in the mountains. There is plenty of' living space, and some of the spacious bedrooms have ceiling fans. I slept like a baby in this peaceful retreat. Take a snowshoe trip and perhaps you will see some wildlife or tracks. The location offers beautiful scenery at every turn whether you are driving or exploring! The owner, Mrs. Levy, was immediately available via phone when I had a question upon arrival. My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the Eagle's Nest."
