  • Wonderful spot

"The condo was perfect and as advertised. No reason not to consider this property. We found the drinking water unsuitable and bought a bag of ice and a couple of gallons of water. Bedroom TV was set up for DVD play only so couldn't watch Thursday night football in bed but again no big deal. Our only complaint was the rental company Plumlee reality, who had an office in the building, but was not always open during times posted. We arrived on a Sunday, office was closed and condo keys were left in a box that anyone had access to. Not a very secure system. We did not get registered till Tuesday because the office was closed on Monday and we just happened to catch someone on Tuesday. Supposedly you can rent DVDs but we did not find that location. The main office was about a mile away so we did not get there. Instructions told us to drop the keys off at the main office when we checked out so we did and received a call later in the morning wanting to know when we were checking out and they questioned why we dropped the keys at the main office. These people obviously don't have their act together however the condo was perfect. Beds were great, view was indescribable, furniture was comfortable, and even the showers were great. Don't know if we've ever been in a cleaner unit. There was some construction work going on in the building which got a little annoying but they were considerate and started late and quit early. There was easy access to a wonderful beach and a wide variety of local restaurants, many with outside dinning options. Our favorites were The Pub and Salt Rock Cafe."

  • AMAZING view...Excellent family vacation spot away from overcrowded beaches

"My family and I (4 kids and 2 adults) couldn't have stayed in a better location. Clearwater pier, Tampa Zoo, Johns Pass, and so much more nearby. Beach was never overcrowded during our stay and the view....AMAZING! Lots of beach toys, chairs, floaties and boogie boards in the balcony closet. Kitchen was beyond my expectations and so much more to list. We will definitely consider staying here again during future trips!"

  • The Perfect Gulf Getaway

"Recognizing the need for some private space and time of our own while on a week-long family visit over Christmas to the Tampa-St. Pete area, my wife and I booked this unit months in advance of our trip – and it was the best move we could have made (that’s not a comment about the in-laws!). This condo is exactly as nicely decorated and as well maintained as shown in the VRBO listing. The care and attention to detail put into this unit by the owner is obvious proof that he treats it like his own home, not some mere income-producing rental. The condo has been extensively remodeled and/or upgraded, with sleek new bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a wonderful living room with views to the beach from two directions. It is decorated throughout with a tasteful seashore motif. As other guests have indicated, the unit is very well stocked with kitchen items and any number of indoor diversions when the weather is bad (although we lucked out – 80 degree highs, bright blue skies, and low humidity the entire time). A major attraction for my wife and myself was just sitting out on the balcony to enjoy spectacular sunsets, flocks of shore birds, and the passing parade of humanity on the beach below; I even witnessed a marriage proposal there. While the Holiday Villa II building is of older construction, perhaps from the 1970s or so, it is well maintained. Maureen, the on-site property manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful to us. Each unit has an assigned parking space, but guest parking is limited. We never used the pool, but it looked to be in excellent shape. Indian Shores appears to be among the quieter of this string of Gulf beach towns, but we found that was actually appealing, especially in contrast to the absolute circus scene we witnessed to the north at Clearwater Beach or to the south at John’s Pass. Should we need to again rent a place of our own while in this part of Florida, this condo in Indian Shores would be a no-brainer. Our thanks to Steve for making available such a wonderful home to guests like us."

  • Wonderful stay

"This condo was great! Equipped with everything we could need. Very clean and kept up well. Michael even stopped in when he was in the area one day to make sure things were alright. The pool area was very nice and kept up as well. (Only issue was some outside work being done the unit above made it a little dusty and noisy - but that will be done soon) We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings. I would definitely rent this unit again."
