  • Great outside space, hot indoor space.

"My family vacationed here for a week prior to dropping my son, husband and friend at Boy Scout Sea Base High Adventure. We were with 4 teenage boys (and two grandparents) looking for something with amenities that would keep these active scouts busy. We were drawn to the kayaks and waterfront location with close proximity to good snorkeling. The outside of the house totally delivers. It is exactly as the pictures show. The tiki equipped with hammock and hammock chairs was terrific but we spent most of the time on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and fishing from the bulkhead. There is no pier or dock but if you do not have a boat, there is plenty of room to fish. You will need a FL license if you are over 16. Check with your local bait shop for regulations and bait recommendations (we loved Brenda across the street at Capt Pete's who is a wealth of knowledge!) A few things to note about the property: I would not consider this a 3 bedroom. Yes it does have the beds that it states however the lower level is one large open room that has 2 beds in what is largely a family room with large sectional and television. It is more of a studio. We had planned on my parents staying here but it did not give them any privacy from the teenagers and there is no inside staircase that leads to the upstairs. One must go outside and use the front stairs or the spiral staircase out back. Not a problem when the weather was nice but there were several severe thunderstorms throughout the week which I understand is a regular occurance in the summer. Also, the air condition is not adjustable. It is set to 81 degrees (which was hot and not very comfortable for my mom who suffers from asthma) during the day and appears to come on full blast late in the evening, leaving everyone searching for blankets in the middle of the night and early morning. Lastly, do not expect anyone to sleep in the terraced area during the warm weather months. The owners ask that you keep the sliding doors closed during the day and open them after 8 pm. This room was unbearably hot and two of the boys were forced to sleep on loveseats and sofas in the cooler living room. There is no ice maker which is a bummer when frozen drinks are on the bar menu. It is vacation after all! If you plan on snorkeling in the sound, make sure you stop and pick up a dive flag at any local grocery store, Walgreens or dive shop."

  • Beautiful Home and a Great Long Weekend

"The Los Cayos house is a great place to stay on Key Largo. The owner's were extremely helpful and very prompt in responding to all of our inquiries prior to the trip. The home itself is much bigger than it appears in the pictures, we had a full house using every available sleeping option but we never felt crowded. The home is clean, well kept, and had even more amenities than we had first thought. There are plenty of dishes, utensils, etc... The pool area, and downstairs are great for congregating, and there is even a refrigerator downstairs so you can spend time at the pool and not have to keep running upstairs for drinks. The bedrooms are nice, and the master suite is surprisingly large with a whirlpool tub and a walk in shower. I cannot say enough good things about this home, its location on Key Largo is great, especially if you plan on seeing the Pennekamp state park, the park is within walking distance."

  • Perfect Key Largo Vacation!!!

"From the moment we discovered Jose and Maria’s home and decided to stay there, our experience was wonderful. They were easy to work with and provided perfect directions for our arrival. They answered all questions before our stay and made our experience very easy. Plus they thought of things a family would need including activity suggestions while on vacation. We loved John Pennecamp Park for canoeing and snorkeling and it was a quick five minutes or so to get there. It was an easy day trip to Key West or the Everglades. We found a cute public beach nearby to watch the beautiful sunsets every night. I would highly recommend staying here. It was a perfect family vacation and we loved every minute. It was very hard to leave and return home afterwards. Thanks for sharing your home."

  • Amazing

"We stayed at the house for a little over a month. We were down in the area for work and found this little gem. There were three adults sharing the house so there was more then enough room. Out of that whole time I think we cooked at the house a total of two nights. One guy did you use the outside grill more often though. This place was set up for turn key usage, from Tupperware to a Keurig, it was all there! There are four bathrooms in the house, each master bedroom upstairs having their own as well as the room downstairs. The final bathroom is in the hallway that is available to guests and the final two rooms that have a day bed in each. These two rooms and the hallway bathroom were never used once while we were there. Laundry room was up in the main house and in very good order. The neighborhood was quiet with most people that we saw waving hello. Personally, I enjoyed the back patio where I spent almost every night enjoying a beer and watching the boats rock back and forth along the canal. Not only would I recommend staying here again, but I plan on staying here again as I know my group will be back sometime in the Spring of 2017!"
