  • Perfect Getaway

"We recently stayed in unit 9 for one week, and loved every minute of it. The park that the units are located in is very well kept, and the residents definitely show pride in ownership. The beds were comfortable, the A/C worked very well, the kitchen was fully stocked, and best of all was the outside area. The landscaping is beautiful, and the birds plentiful! So many flowers! The patio was pretty private, and each unit has it's own gas grill for bar-b-que dinners. The units feature original artwork and hand crafted furniture, which was really cool. Hans and Lisa were there on the weekend, and were friendly and accommodating. The jetty is at the end of a picturesque, tree covered path, and it was one of my favorite things about this place. You can see a bunch of fish, horseshoe crabs, and even a small shark! It's the perfect place to go at the end of the day, to watch the sunset. The pool was very clean and the water was warm. I can't say enough about this place! The only bad thing was the noseeums. Not too many mosquitos, but the noseeums ate me up. I came up with a solution that I recommend to everyone: wear long sleeves, pants, and socks at night and in the morning. I brought a very light long sleeve button up blouse, and it kept them off of me, along with leggings and footie socks with sandals. Quite the sight, I know, but the park is so quiet that nobody really saw me. :) This little precautionary measure enabled me to take walks at night to star gaze. To be fair, noseeums are a problem pretty much anywhere in the Keys. Just dress for them. If the opportunity arises again-and I'm sure it will-I will definitely stay here. Grassy Key is close enough to Marathon that you have everything you need, and far enough away to be away from the crowds. Sombrero Beach is the perfect beach-not too crowded, shallow water that is crystal clear, and lots of trees at the South end for shade."

  • Relax and enjoy this amazing place

"I have been to the keys many time and this place is awesome. It is so quite and peaceful the only thing you hear are the breezes and distant boat motors. The place is was clean and well furnished . The owners have equipt the place with anything you might need during your stay. The layout of the place makes for great public and private areas. Thanks Todd and Jamie for giving us a great keys vacation"

  • First Trip to the Keys!

"This was the first time I had been to the keys since 1997 and my gosh was it worth the wait! We arrived on Saturday and quickly got to know the property. There is no pool and outdoor space anywhere like this outside of a waterpark or an exclusive resort! The pool has a shallow and deep end, and a beautiful waterfall running into the deep side. The inside of the house was very nice too. It essentially faces the gulf with huge windows and an equally huge deck. This area has so much seating that you could bring the entire family down to the keys with you! There's even another deck off the master bedroom for even further distance gulf views. The first day while walking out on the dock and watching the water a nurse shark swam by! The next day while sitting out on the dock and watching the waves a giant sting ray flew out of the water! There were many different fish swimming around too. So much marine life to see right from the dock! We rented a boat and went out to Sombrero Reef and did some keys style snorkeling. The waters are outrageously clear and blue. You can see all the way to the bottom, 5 miles off the coast. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, barracudas galore, tons of fish and ocean plant life. The weather was almost perfect considering it was hurricane season. We were in a tropical storm warning for 1 day as Hurricane Matthew rolled up the east coast of Florida, so we decided to go to Key West where it was sunny all day! There are some excellent restaurants very close by and La Nina has the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. The Keys are most definitely different than the standard beach is but truly a must for everyone. There is nothing else like The Florida Keys in this country!"

  • Fantastic Place

"Everything about Key Lime Kottage was perfect for us - the location, the size, and the atmosphere. We had an age span of from 6 years old to 72 years old and it worked for every age. The pool area was a special place where everyone in the family good relax and enjoy each other's company. The pool towels provided were a special and considerate touch. The dock was a great place to watch the beautiful sunsets. There were numerous activities nearby and it was just as awesome to go nowhere and enjoy the pool. Very easy to deal with Maria before, during and after our stay. We would definitely stay at KLK again!"
