  • Wonderful vacation spot

"This is our 3 Rd year staying at this home. It's beautiful and centrally located for convenience. It is safe and secure for my toddler grandsons age 2 and 4! The pool is relaxing and clean. Julio is the nicest man one could meet and he is available to make your stay the best it can be. We had manatee right at the dock for a fresh water break. We saw 6-8 foot tarpon in the canal multiple times. It's an adventure! The beach was awesome with a playground for the children. We just tell Julio to keep the deposits for next year as we continue to enjoy the pleasure of his beautiful home and friendship we have developed. My families memories are made here and will continue because it's s perfect place for families, children, and handicapped. Julio was so sweet to open the first floor bedroom for me because I merely mentioned I was ill just prior to vacation. All to avoid me doing steps. Not many people would go the extra mile. Julio does and it's appreciated. I cannot say anything negative in the three years we rented. Working and looking forward to the fourth! Kathleen, Folsom, Pennsylvania 2016"

  • Paradise!

"The owner of Palm Breezes wrote an excellent & accurate description of this property. A group of friends visited in September to celebrate a 50th birthday. The house and grounds were perfect for our group. We took full advantage of all of the amenities available. We docked a boat there & went fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, lobstering, and stand-up paddle boarding. We looked for manatees, but never saw one. We used the pool, jacuzzi, and gas outdoor grill. We played games at the poker table, and sat out on the back screened in patio when it rained. Tim, the owner, provides some suggestions of where to eat upon check-in, and we went to a couple of places, but mostly prepared meals in the kitchen which was well stocked for our needs. There's a blender, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and two refrigerators (one is downstairs). We had plenty of room, and never felt crowded. There's a lot of different seating throughout the house and property. Plenty of parking for all. Beds were comfortable. The home is conveniently located to stores and restaurants. I can see why this placed is often booked well in advance. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this piece of paradise, and I would stay here again. Thanks Tim for opening up your home to us."

  • Best Vacation Of My Life!

"I absolutely loved my trip to Pretty Joe Rock! The entire house was like a tropical dream! The views from every window where beautiful and I felt like I was a celebrity on vacation. We were also close to great restaurants. I was adventurous one of the days and used the rental kayaks to explore. Best vacation ever! I am already planning my next trip to Pretty Joe Rock!!"

  • Perfect for a Vacation on the Water

"We are repeat guests; this was our 5th year at this property. Prior to this house we stayed at a different location in Marathon each year, enjoying our time but not quite what we were looking for. This spot is perfect for those who plan on spending a good deal of time in the water. You have the Gulf in the back and the Atlantic just minutes away, the best of both. The sunsets are amazing! Even the days we had stormy, overcast weather the sky was picture perfect. We are able to pull right up to the house, unload our gear, clean fish & lobster and relax in the pool. My tip – bring a canopy to put over the pool, you will be surprised how much cooler the water is (remember its south Florida). Any issues we have had are always taken care of promptly. After a long hot day, I have to say the a/c is better than my own home! We have made use of the bikes (the path to the Old Seven is a great ride – watch out for big Iguanas, but it’s closed for refurbishing) and the kayak (go left and into the little cove before the island for a calm paddle). For the best Key Lime pie check out Seven Mile Grill – we walk, it is right on the corner. For the best meal go to Lazy Day’s South – just across US1, bring your catch and ask for the Lazy Days way. I have tried to visit so many spots on Marathon, with a camera, and would say my favorite was a helicopter tour. We actually flew right over the property. For the past 4 years we have had an octopus outside at night, a pretty blue, and this year while looking for it a 7ft nurse shark came all the way in the boat slip. It was a first for me to not have my camera and I missed it. My first review was 2012 and I decided not to read it before writing this, I just did and realized I said most of the same things."
