  • Fabulous home and fabulous owners!! 👙🎣🐠☀️⛵️🍹🐢🐬

"We could not have had a better vacation in Marathon this year and this gorgeous property was the icing on the cake. The house is absolutely beautiful and the pool and dock areas were perfect for outdoor activities. I had kitchen envy all week long. We booked with Cindy for our family vacation to celebrate my 50th birthday with family coming to stay in two shifts. I am so pleased with the accommodations for us, our kids and our grandkids. We had plenty of room in the house and the pool. Speaking of the pool, it's is beautiful and plenty big enough for all the adults and kids to be in it at the same time. We had a fabulous time and the only thing that would make it better was if we could book this home for next year's lobster trip. If you are lucky enough to stay here you will never regret it. PS - my granddaughter who wants to be a marine biologist when she grows up had fun naming all the iguanas 😎"

  • What a GREAT House !!!

"My wife and I just returned a few weeks ago from a stay at Gerry's Florida House. This house was absolutely perfect for us. Great location (had stayed on Morton Street before). The house was clean, extremely well outfitted and very comfortable. The screened porch is AWESOME !! We sat out there every night and enjoyed the sunsets, which are incredible. The pool was excellent as was the dock. We are already planning on returning to Gerry's house next summer. Thanks so much for everything !!!"

  • Beautiful home on the water

"We very much enjoyed staying at Island Paradise! The house was beautiful and perfectly situated on the water; exactly as described in the listing and check in was incredibly easy. We were able to pull our boat up to the dock and make use of the bait freezer and fish cleaning table. We enjoyed sitting out by the water every night having cocktails and watching the fish swim around the snook light. The pool was lovely and we spent a ton of time in it! We frequently went out on the kayaks. The kitchen was modern and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of parking for our vehicles and boat trailer. The house was very close to several restaurants and grocery stores, we found it very easy to get around. We would definitely be interested in staying here again and have already recommended it to friends!! Thank you for you sharing your home with us!!"

  • Perfect for a Vacation on the Water

"We are repeat guests; this was our 5th year at this property. Prior to this house we stayed at a different location in Marathon each year, enjoying our time but not quite what we were looking for. This spot is perfect for those who plan on spending a good deal of time in the water. You have the Gulf in the back and the Atlantic just minutes away, the best of both. The sunsets are amazing! Even the days we had stormy, overcast weather the sky was picture perfect. We are able to pull right up to the house, unload our gear, clean fish & lobster and relax in the pool. My tip – bring a canopy to put over the pool, you will be surprised how much cooler the water is (remember its south Florida). Any issues we have had are always taken care of promptly. After a long hot day, I have to say the a/c is better than my own home! We have made use of the bikes (the path to the Old Seven is a great ride – watch out for big Iguanas, but it’s closed for refurbishing) and the kayak (go left and into the little cove before the island for a calm paddle). For the best Key Lime pie check out Seven Mile Grill – we walk, it is right on the corner. For the best meal go to Lazy Day’s South – just across US1, bring your catch and ask for the Lazy Days way. I have tried to visit so many spots on Marathon, with a camera, and would say my favorite was a helicopter tour. We actually flew right over the property. For the past 4 years we have had an octopus outside at night, a pretty blue, and this year while looking for it a 7ft nurse shark came all the way in the boat slip. It was a first for me to not have my camera and I missed it. My first review was 2012 and I decided not to read it before writing this, I just did and realized I said most of the same things."
