  • Beautiful home for family vacation

"We had an amazing time here. The house is beautiful and very comfortable for a large group. I was nervous after reading some reviews. There are some cracked tiles and the sliding doors are heavy to open and a few other completely minor flaws. That's the only negative I can say. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!"

  • Rental home exactly as advertized

"The home is beautifully decorated and is kept very clean. My son loved waking up and having a dock in the backyard for fishing off of every morning. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, linens and towels. The kitchen is stocked with all kinds of spices, dishes, pots & pans. The home is centrally located in the keys, so you can get to Key West or Key Largo in an hour and a half. There is a restaurant called Island Fish Co. less than 5 min. away over the causeway, that has the most unbelievable deep fried key lime pie. Their food and prices were better than Sparky's Landing on Key Colony Beach. We took a night time fishing party boat with Marathon Lady and caught several Snapper. The owner Will Rosbolt was easy to communicate with. He was always quick to get back with you about questions you might have. The property manager Elizabeth was very friendly and helpful as well. Thank you Will for the beer in the fridge upon arrival! I would definitely stay here again."

  • Wonderful retreat with family

"It was our first time visiting the Florida Keys. We decided on Key Colony because of its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. It was wonderful. The community is peaceful and welcoming, the house was awesome, and the access to the water was perfect. The photos and description of the property does not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated, spacious, and peaceful. We fell in love with the area! The only downfall, we had to return to Georgia and go back to work. I would highly recommend this property for a family retreat."

  • A true 5-star experience

"We tend to be wary when there are more pictures of the outdoors than the indoors but Jerry's little flats in paradise break a lot of our standard rules. We are birders and naturalists and some of our most exciting sightings were 10 feet from where we were having tea. The apartment is comfortable, clean and well-appointed but you wont be spending much time indoors. The host is unusually generous with savvy advice about local restaurants, fishing, parks, pests, & weather. He knows his territory. He is even more generous with unexpected amenities like kayaks, snorkeling/fishing gear, a park pass, bicycles, & lanterns. All this extra gear is high quality and in good repair. The value of these amenities make this property an unexpected bargain. The claims about the natural diversity literally at your door are not exaggerated. If you love nature you may never leave the patio. In fact there's a hammock out there if you can't tear yourself away. Doing business with the host was trouble-free. Layton is tiny and quiet but there's a destination Italian restaurant (Acquapazza) just a couple of blocks away. The indoors is nothing fancy but it was attractive, practical, & sturdy. The bathroom was very clean and the shower is a standout. The kitchen is a little dark but perfectly serviceable. We got a chuckle out of the whimsical coffee tables. Jerry built this place for fun in a stunningly beautiful place and it delivers, big time. Rent it and get your feet wet! Highest recommendation!"
