"Our family traveled to Destin from Texas, Kansas, Virginia, & South Carolina. We had a wonderful time, the house was awesome, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The room with four built in full size bunk beds was perfect for our son and his family of five. This was our second trip to Villages of Crystal Beach. They have a great huge pool and is walking distant to beach. Cheryl was great to work with, she answered all my e-mails in a timely manner and was very helpful. Would recommend this property to anyone."

  • Paradise Found!

"Spent 8 wonderful days at the Flip Flop Cottage in the Villages of Crystal Beach. The same group of 8 guys on our 23rd consecutive year of golf vacation simply had the best time ever. What seems like your own private 5 Star resort is 90 feet from your porch. This spacious house had every amenity you could think of. But most important of all, Cheryl, Rich and Sandy were far and away the most professional, friendly and courteous group we have ever dealt with in over 20 years. Upon our arrival we had several minor issues that were addressed within an hour! Talk about Customer Service! We have booked our golf vacation homes for many years on VRBO and without question, our stay at Flip Flop Cottage was the most pleasant, worry-free vacation EVER! Minutes from the beach, golf, shopping and night life!!!!!!! What an incredible value for this fantastic property. See you guys next year!"

  • Family Vacation

"I usually don't leave reviews but I found that when I was searching for a beach house for our vacation I read the reviews! There were 3 families staying at Beach Bound. Together we had 9 children ranging in age from 3 to 13. I wanted to give some detailed information that would help other large families make the best decision when choosing their vacation. First off let me say that we didn't start looking for a Beach house until early March and so we found that a lot were already booked for the week we were looking at. We didn't want to spend more than $5500 for the week so if you are searching for one now you know that isn't a lot of money to spend if you want to be on the beach. Pros: - The lagoon style pool was a HUGE hit with us. Also, this particular house was right near the pool. We literally walked out the front door and right into the pool area. - The trolley that takes you to the beach was a HUGE hit with the kids as well. We looked at the distance to the beach on GOOGLE satellite and it didn't look that far. But, when you are down there and walking to the beach in the HOT sun that is beating down on you and you are carrying, sand toys, kids, coolers, towels, chairs etc it is a LONG walk. However, when we called the trolley they were there pretty quickly. The only down side was they stop running at 4 and if you wanted to stay later you had to walk back. - The house was set up for multiple families and worked perfect for our situation as we had 3 families. The kids piled in on the 2nd floor living area as there was a couch and a futon that laid out. - This location was perfect. We could drive out of the community and everything was within 10 min. Cons: Again these are stupid little details that might be helpful to large families. - There was one fridge and we went to Walmart on Saturday when we arrived and when we got back with all of the week's food we had to use our larger coolers as fridges because there wasn't enough room. there is a smaller fridge upstairs but we just put drinks in it. We only bought food for breakfast and lunches as we ate dinner out. - The utensils are dated and a lot of the coffee mugs are chipped. - The beds probably need to be replaced as everyone seemed to complain every morning about their neck or back hurting. - The kitchen is pretty small so we had to take shifts in making lunches to take to the beach. - we couldn't fit 3 vehicles side by side."
