Great family getaway to the perfect lake house!!!

My kids and I loved this property. It was a charming lake house on a quiet cove of Lake Lanier. The house is located just minutes from Gainesville. Which is perfect if you want to have civilization nearby but still stay in a place that feels secluded as well. The house is an older house that has been well kept and the owner is fantastic. He was there when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. The dock is very large and new. Plus the house comes with a Jon boat, canoes and a paddle boat free for use. The fishing is excellent in this area of the lake. My family and I will make this an annual vacation spot and will continue to rent this house.

Nice property for a family get-together

We rented this home for a graduation and Mother's Day celebration. The home's features lent themselves nicely to the events. We enjoyed the combo living room/dining space for upstairs indoor gathering, and when the weather was nice also opened the kitchen door onto the patio to enjoy the upper deck as well. We had 4 young people at the party and they enjoyed the hot tub a lot. The pool table and PlayStation room downstairs also made for fun. The TV in the living room is large and new enough to have an HDMI port, which allowed us to use an Amazon Firestick we'd brought along, so as to watch things we wanted to see (otherwise the home's cable would have been fine). As the home's listing states, it only accommodates 6 for staying overnight, but it was nice to have a place large enough that other visitors could join us for our festivities and not feel cramped. Those of us that stayed in the house found the beds to be comfortable and other amenities good. Anthony, the home's owner, was very accommodating. I had to change dates by a day, and also asked to bring a pet (but later we changed our minds). He was flexible with all of our requests and responsive. If I had to list any negative at all, it would only be that those perhaps wanting upscale touches might be disappointed, in that the furnished towels, bedding, and dishware show some age. But, they are perfectly serviceable, so anyone not overly concerned about fancy trappings will be satisfied. The main furniture, such as the couch, are nice. We would rent this home again.
