  • Amazing view, great property

"My wife and I stayed for 3 nights recently, and had an amazing time. The location is secluded, but there is a restaurant 2 minutes down the road, and a 15 minute drive into town. If you're looking to get off the beaten path and enjoy a true Hawaiian experience, this is a great option. Good wifi signal, strong water pressure in the shower, so you don't feel like you're too far "off the grid", which is nice. We'd love to come back again and bring our kids with us next time!"

  • Slice of heaven

"From the moment we set foot on this property, we felt a sense of peace. This wasn't just a rental house, it felt like our home! All was accurately depicted, it was extremely clean, and the pillows and bed linens smelled fresh. We chose the softer mattress in bedroom next to the kitchen. The chorus of frogs sang us to sleep at night. We lounged on the porch and watched the ocean for whale's spouting. We hiked to Waipio Valley, waded on the Black Sand beach, and loved feeling at one with God's creation. Victoria, the housekeeper, was available for any questions. We ate breakfast, lunch, and supper several times at Waipio Cookhouse, an A++rating on quality, quantity, and service! Daily specials along with their regular menu of fresh fish, burgers, grilled eggplant, and local farm raised food. We could easily live in this house forever, and hope to return soon. Mahalo nui loa Marcie, and Victoria also! Linda and Rick Johnson City, TN"

  • Such a charming place filled with stories and music!

"We feel very fortunate to have stayed with Lisa and Charley! They were so kind to let our dog, Elmer, come too, even though they tried to be friendly, he was a little aloof! The house is charming and comfortable and full of windows that bring in all the beautiful outdoors. There were several "best parts'. One, the band rehearsal we got to listen too, two, light breakfast and really good coffee every morning. three, listening to Lisa tell stories about the family and about the area. and four, just hanging out in a lovely area. Perfect stay - highly recommend! Carolyn and Jaime"
