  • A Wonderful Place

"Keolamauloa was a great place to stay for so many reasons. For my wife, daughter, and myself, it was plenty roomy with a comfortable living room, dining area, well stocked/furnished kitchen, and 2 nice sized bedrooms. The owner, Kaye, is a gracious host, and starts you out with a complete tour of the place answering as many questions as you can ask. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer if you happen to need it as well as lots of extra towels and linens in the closet near the bedrooms. It has a lanai (porch/patio) with a big hot tub and a view of the ocean and plenty of seats to choose from. On the farm grounds, there is a small pond and lots of lush vegetation with chickens, a big friendly pig, and 4 even friendlier cats that love to sit in your lap and be petted. (The chickens and pig are penned up but the cats are not.) I think one of the cats, Aka, might even join you in the hot tub if you let him. (I didn't.) You can take some very pretty hikes right from your front door heading mauka (uphill) on the road past the Hawaiian Vanilla Company and beyond, or in the other direction makai (downhill); it's all good. On one hike, I met a noisy tom turkey and some quieter cattle next to the road, flushed a ring necked pheasant, spooked 3 little wild pigs (really), and found a gnome home built into a tree - although I suspect it was really constructed by humans. We had a wonderful time. The only thing we didn't like about the place was leaving it. We'd highly recommend this happy little farm and its critters (and humans) and aloha to anyone looking for a beautiful home away from home at a great value."

  • Awesome!

"Experience true Hawaii and stay in this adorable plantation house! Mai is an awesome hostess and made sure we were taken cared of and the hale is adorable! The bathroom is like the old plantation days where the bathrooms are adjoining, one has the toilet and the other has the sink but both have showers. It was centrally located in honokaa and a short drive to waipio valley and a 45ish minute drive to Hilo."

  • Absolutely Gorgeous!!

"We stayed at Paradise Bluff with another couple for a week and had one of the best holidays we can remember. The location is unbelievable - overlooking the ocean on a quiet dead-end residential street. It is away from any hustle and bustle, and there is a little store 2 minutes away that has groceries as well as an amazing coffee shop with great food. There is a larger grocery store about 20 mins down the road. Also, there is an 8 lane outdoor pool very close by - what a treat! There are floor to ceiling windows across the whole ocean side of the living area and a large covered deck. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching whales in the ocean! The master bedroom on the second level also has floor to ceiling windows and a large deck, and gorgeous bathroom with a huge double shower. We watched the sunrise over the ocean everyday from our bed! From the location, it's an easy drive to really anywhere else on the island for exploring. Stacey and Belinda - the property managers were really awesome and helpful. We highly recommend Paradise Bluff!"

"What an amazing view. Stunning, just as it shows in the pictures along with the peace and tranquility found there. My wife and I just returned and found it was everything it was billed to be. Having seen the short you tube video link we were given we went right to the home. The home was very clean and had more kitchen utinsels/cookware than most other places we have stayed in. The BBQ grill was very clean and ready to use so we grilled steaks one evening and ate on the deck then and some mornings for breakfast as well. We saw whales and other marine life quite often from the deck. They had binoculars there to use. We hiked the steep paved road just below the home quite often for exercise and drove it in the jeep as well. We even hiked across the valley and on top of the other ridge opposite us. It was a great hike and did not see many people on the hike, (it was fairly steep) but safe. If you need beach the black sand beach is right below and accessible. The place is green and lush and very secluded which is what we were after. The location is up north but we did not feel that it was to long a drive to the Hilo or Kona side to see the volcano and other sites and at the end of the trip felt like we woke up and went to bed in one of the prettiest places on the island. Daniel promptly replied to all our inquiries and the home was great! I would recommend it, and particularly for families or larger groups."
