"Our family of six (two children, two parents, + two grandparents) stayed here for 10 days for a second time and loved every minute of it (again). The two bedrooms downstairs were occupied by the adults and the children were able to sleep in the beds upstairs. It was the perfect amount of space for us. It truly felt like home away from home.
The lanai offers amazing views of both the ocean activity and sunsets galore. You have three pools to choose from (we always chose the middle pool as it is closest to the unit). Although we don't normally like TV while on vacation, the flat screen and DVD player came in clutch when the kids needed a break from the sun/beach.
The kids used the provided boogie boards and the parents used the snorkeling gear/beach chairs/umbrella from the storage closet. You have access to several clean beach towels, and they even have sand toys for the kids.
The proximity to downtown Kona and a grocery store is perfect. It's close enough to jet downtown, yet far enough to enjoy some quiet time. Don't worry about shopping as the grocery store is a short walk from the unit. I noticed a few people talk about air conditioning here.... the weather was 90+ degrees every day we were here and as long as you leave the windows open all day, it was comfortable. In fact, a few of us had to turn the fans off at night as it got a little chilly. A/C=no need!
WiFi-The only thing I can offer the next potential vacationer staying here is to be sure and reset the router if the username doesn't show up. You do this by unplugging the router for a few minutes, plug back in, and walla... type in the pw and it works perfectly!
This place seriously has everything you need....pack a few shirts, shorts, and flip-flops and you're set!"

"We booked this condo for a surprise birthday stay for my Mom's 80th birthday. The moment she walked in she was happy. It was quiet and spacious (the master suite is to die for with it's own private lanai) and very well equipped. The three pools were perfect. From the Ocean pool we watched a pod of dolphins go by, saw tropical fish in the water, and enjoyed sunbathing while my Dad was able to read the paper under the shaded picnic area. It was great that we could all be together and enjoy what we each liked, all at the same time. There were many times we had the Adult pool all to ourselves. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. In addition to that the location overlooking the golf course made for perfect morning coffee on the lanai, as well as evening relaxing time after dinner. It was fun to watch the golfers as well. It was an absolutely great trip thanks to many things and this condo was icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and unwind, yet be close to other activities (marina near by, groceries, snorkeling, you name it). Thank you so much for sharing your home."

"This was our second stay in this condo at Keauhou Punahele. Both the condo and the complex are very well maintained. The condo is well stocked in the kitchen and has plenty of linens, including nice beach towels. The complex was very quiet in the evenings. Although we did not use the pool, it looked very nice. We enjoyed dinner at Sam Choys, which is very close, and would also recommend the Big Island Grill in town, a favorite with locals. For delicious burgers, try Island Ono Loa Grill (behind Lava Java on Allii Drive). I especially liked that this condo is on the second level so that you have a nice ocean view past the golf course; however, it is on the same level as the parking lot, so there are not any stairs, and the parking space for the condo is right in front of the condo. We would definitely recommend this condo and hope to return for another visit in the future."

"The house is at a beautiful timeshare/vacation rental community right by the beach. The home is beautifully renovated and equipped with everything you need. The house is spacious that fit 6 adults comfortably and the loft upstairs provides additional privacy. The owners are very fast in responding to our e-mails, questions, and requests before the stay. They were also very accommodating with the potential change in our booking due to the Hurricane Madeline and Lester. We ended up keeping the original reservation, but we truly appreciate the owners’ flexibility and willingness to work with the customers.
We knew the unit has no AC, but we didn’t expect the temperature to be this hot when we visited Kona. The fans help a little, but not having AC has made the stay a bit difficult. There were also many bugs/insects in the house/on the carpet. Although that was expected given that it’s a tropical island, the amount was a little beyond some of my family members’ comfort level. Couple other notes: the condo is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Because there's no AC, all windows need to be opened to keep the air flows. As a result, it could get really loud at nights with all the birds and cars/motorcycles driving by. Overall, the owners are great to work with and the stay would’ve been great if the weather is cooler and the bug issues are fixed."
