  • Family Vacation

"My family spent a great week at this beautiful condo. A family of six adults and a one year old had plenty of room and all the amenities we could ever need. The condo was beautifully decorated with great furnishings. The kitchen was fully equipped and great for cooking Ahi and making Poki. All the beach items needed were in the garage including beach towels and chairs. Morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the patio viewing the Pacific were great. An active family we swam, and snorkeled at different beaches, kayaked to Capt. Cook, toured the island and visited two of the National Parks. This condo was a great start and end point for our adventures. The owner was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly, very responsive and assisted us in every way. The Sun Quest management staff were equally responsive and very helpful. The community was beautiful and well maintained. The pool with a one yr. was a great place to spend late afternoons. We will be back and the Na Hale Keauhou N1 is our first choice. A great vacation!"

  • Awesome location, beautiful grounds, awesome time!

"The Kona Coast resort is truly beautiful. When you approach it, you are simply wowed by the excellent quality of the grounds keeping of the resort. We often went for walks around the resort and just took in the views (also a few herbs from the communal garden!). The resort is very quiet and peaceful. Keeping the windows open all night and having the cross wind cool you off was amazing. The location is great! You are so close to the very popular Ali'i drive, yet far enough away to be separated from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. The BEST snorkeling on the island is a quick 15 min walk down the street (Kahaluu Beach) where you can swim with turtles and countless fish. Want to go to the beautiful Punaluu Black Sand beach? Simply head out of the resort and go south. The unit itself was well positioned. With a dedicated parking spot and same level access to the front door, it is super accessible. Also, the unit is extremely private with the front and back windows opened and the wind passing through. The unit itself could do with a tad bit of updating, but other than that it was fully furnished! Each room has its own A/C (and it works well!). Also, there were many toys for our kids to play with at the beach. The available coolers made the amazing sight seeing trips painless and we had ample towels and bedding. The unit does overlook a pool, which we were really excited about (basically in your back yard!). However, it is a "quiet" pool. We were a little surprised by this, but quickly followed the jogging trail down to the big pool where we had a blast! I would definitely stay at this unit again. Joan was very prompt in responding to any questions I had and was very pleasant. Maholo!"

  • Amazing!!!

"I rented this condo for a week recently and was very impressed how nice, equipped and comfortable 5-201 was. It is located a few miles south of Kona and there is ample shopping near by however, you will feel pleasantly isolated from the tourist grind. The condo is very nice, updated, clean and spacious. I stopped at Walmart and Safeway prior to arriving at the condo which was a mistake. Everything I purchased was already at the condo i.e. shampoo, rinse, soap, spices, etc. Anyway, I had an awesome time in Kona and I absolutely recommend condo 5-201 (or any rental at the Surf & Raquet Club) and give the place 5 stars. Thanks Jay! Mahalo-"

  • Fourth of July

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our fourth trip to the island and we stayed here over the 4th of July. Kona is a great area and staying in Keahou Estates is fantastic if you are looking for sweeping panoramic views and quiet! You are about 15-20 minutes away from downtown Kona (not a lot of restaurant choices but there are a few, however if you are staying at the house in general you are cooking your meals and sitting on the Lanai enjoying the fabulous sunsets). For better dining options you need to go about 35-45 minutes up the shore to Waikoloa village Where there are several options for dinner. There is also a nice beach at waikaloa that is good for young kids, but if you like waves then go to Hapuna which is another 10-15 minutes north. Bigger waves can be found on the south side of the island (green sand beach which we visit every time). There is also a lovely black sand beach about 15-20 minutes past the south point road exit. About the house.....Its beautiful and we would definitely return. The upkeep could be a little better but it is the ocean and Hawaii so sometimes that's to be expected. We recommend the surround sound get repaired so it can be used as well as the receiver which controls most of the media (they were not working). Outside of some other small issues which Kona Coast took care of promptly everything was wonderful! Kudos to Kona Coast and their professionalism! And a warm Mahalo to the owners for opening up their beautiful home to us! This is a driving island and there are many great places to go so explore!"
