  • Perfect location

"The condo was across the street from 3 great beaches and no more than a 10 minute drive to another 4 or 5 in South Maui. The owners are GREAT and very responsive - they also provided a lot of helpful information about the area. Unit is very clean with a full kitchen making eating in pretty easy although there were lots of places to walk to for dinner. We also enjoyed the pool. The condo also had a lot of beach/pool items we borrowed like a cooler, noodles, and beach towels. What a great stay - would definitely recommend!"

  • awesome location, awesome place!

"This was our first time staying in KKN 142 and it was absolutely perfect, would definitely stay here again. The unit has everything you need to be comfortable, plenty of beach gear (coolers, comfy beach chains, umbrellas, sandcastle stuff, boogie boards, beach towels, bamboo mats, even extra sun screen and aloe!). The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils you could possibly need. Comfortable king size bed with a large closet for stowing away your luggage and hanging up clothes. There were a lot of extra towels in the closet as well, which we appreciated. Everything was sparkling clean, Hope does a wonderful job of keeping the place tidy for guests. Hope was very helpful to us as we actually locked ourselves out of the unit by accident when we arrived--we did not realize the front door locks automatically upon closing, and we forgot to take the keys back outside with us when we went to grab luggage from the car. It was after-hours so the office was closed, but she was able to make some phone calls to get the security person on-site to find us and let us in. Hope really does a great job of making you feel welcome and at home-she was sweet enough to bring us some local treats which was very thoughtful. The location was very convenient too, not too far from the air port, but also reasonable driving distance to all the other major areas of the island. Since it's a first floor unit you don't have to hike up a bunch of stairs with your luggage. Having a GOOD beach across the street is amazing, and to top it all off you can see the sun set there every evening. We did a lot of exploring around the island and found that the beaches in Kihei were nicer than those in Lahaina, which seemed to be smaller and PACKED with tourists. Location is also good for shopping and restaurants - there were many restaurants within walking distance that were excellent."

  • Two Wonderful Vacations

"We have had the pleasure of staying in Carole & Lothar's condo on two occasions, first for three weeks in April 2014 and the second for a month in April 2015. This was our first experience going on vacation without our RV or staying in a resort, and to be quite frank, we were apprehensive. Our initial contacts with Carole quickly alleviated any concerns we had, and once we saw the property, we knew we had made the right choice. Kihei Kai Nani is well situated to enjoy everything Maui has to offer. The gorgeous views of Haleakala, the pristine Kamaole Beach, central to venture out to Wailea, Lahaina, Kahului, easy access to the Road to Hana, and many more activities make this a perfect location. The condo itself is cozy and very comfortable. Carole and Lothar have certainly equipped their home with all the necessities to make staying here feel like being at home. Extras including accessories for spending the day at the beach such as beach chairs, coolers and an umbrella ensure you will enjoy activities without buying stuff you can't or don't want to carry on the plane!!! And while we wouldn't recommend planning for rain days (think we saw about 10 drops on 1 day out of the two trips), there's a new smart TV, books and games to occupy anyone. In summary, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly both times in Maui. Staying in Carole and Lothar's condo made us immediately feel at home and free to lay back and be ourselves. If the Canadian dollar had been a little less beaten by the U.S. greenback, I'm sure we would have been back again in 2016!!!! The only downside is both our trips have coincided with Carole and Lothar being away on trips of their own, and we have yet to actually meet them face to face, something we sincerely look forward to!!! • Love the Kai Nani!

"My husband and I always stay at the Kai Nani when visiting Maui, 6 years in a row now, we cant imagine staying anywhere else! This was our first stay in this unit and I am pleased to say we were very happy with the location close to the pool yet far away from any road noise, only the beautiful sound of the birds we miss them already! The unit was very clean, well equipped and had everything we needed. We would definetly stay in this unit again and would recommend to friends and family as well. We look forward to our next visit!😎 Leanne & Steve"
