  • Awesome condo and great owners

"Absolutely awesome condo stocked with everything from: binoculars, spices, condiments, beach gear, etc. Great location; close to beaches, great restaurants, stores, and more. Nice complex and very well maintained. Great owners who are very easy to work with and really care that their guests feel comfortable (even provided us with their personal cell numbers in the event we needed anything and even asked us for feedback on the unit). Certainly would recommend this unit for anyone desirous of staying in Maui."

  • Magical, peaceful, beautiful place!

"We have stayed at the Aloha Cottage twice and would highly recommend it. The cottage is a unique, octagon-shaped building with a super comfortable bed (which matters to me because I have a really bad back). The whole place is very clean, well-organized, tranquil, and lovely. The hosts have thought of everything, with a stocked kitchen for cooking, a TV and DVD player, a washer and dryer, a BBQ, a sweet two-person shower, big closet, helpful guidebooks, and a great outdoor jacuzzi tub. Each time we thought of something we wanted or needed, voila, there it was: bug spray, a beach chair, a cooler, etc. I adore the overhead skylight. There is plenty of room for a couple, and a good amount of outdoor space with chairs and table if friends come over for dinner. So, it's got everything you need while on vacation. But beyond that, this place is special in a way that no check list of amenities will convey. The property is just stunning, and the outdoor patio is one of the most peaceful places I've ever been. Beautiful nature surrounds you with a great, positive energy when you are there. We love staying Upcountry, where the pace is slower, the crowds thinner, and it's just way less touristy. The Aloha Cottage is close to the charming downtown Makawao, full of cute local shops and boutiques, a beautiful forest for hiking, and an easy drive to Paia. We plan to stay there again on our next trip to Maui! It's also a great location if you want to do the Road to Hana, Seven Sacred Pools, and Haleakela. Things you should know: there is no A/C, but we kept windows open and it cooled down nicely at night. Prepare for mosquitos at night in the summer. It's up a flight of stairs to get to the cottage, so not accessible for people with mobility issues."

  • Wonderful and comfortable condo

"We go to Maui every summer and have enjoyed staying at The Palms. We decided to try VRBO last year and had the pleasure of staying at unit #403 - we enjoyed it so much we reserved it again for our vacation this year! The unit is fully air-conditioned and the kitchen is updated with new appliances. Spacious and clean, #403 is located across from the office with easy access to the pool. Kanako is the property manager and is extremely quick to respond to any questions or issues that may come up. Would highly recommend unit #403 for your stay at the Palms @ Wailea!"

  • If only we could live here...

"We had the best 11 night stay at Gil's Wailea condo! Honestly, we have never been so sad to go home after a vacation. The condo was super clean, super organized, had everything you'd need to live there, the view is amazing (we could see whales from the lanai), the weather was perfect, the access to the beaches, hotels, grocery store, shopping, and other sites around the island (Road to Hana, Kapalua, Big Beach, Lahaina, etc.) was perfect. It was awesome being able to walk to the beach, hotels (Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, etc.) for meals, and the grocery store was really so convenient. We would drive down to the Wailea Beach access and take chairs and park there for the day. The layout of the condo was perfect for accommodating two couples. We would stay in this condo again in a heart beat! Thanks, Gil for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property! We hope to visit again someday!"
