  • Perfect for our active family of 4...

"I've only ever stayed at the Maui Kamaole when visiting Maui because I love the low-key and quiet vibe of the complex. This is by far one of the better condos I've had the pleasure of making my home base, and Stanley was far and away the easiest and most responsive owner I've rented from. He truly made the entire experience seamless and absolutely joyful. This is an older property and quite understandably constantly booked, so there is some wear-and-tear within the condo itself. That being said, it made for a very comfortable and casual living space for my rambunctious 11-year old and teenager. It comes stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need, from all of the cooking items in the kitchen to the boogie boards/snorkel gear/beach bags and coolers in the lanai closet. And can we talk about the lanai?? That view!! We spent every sunrise just drinking coffee and watching the west Maui mountains and ocean softly light up, and dinner outside with the amazing Maui sunsets as our constant company. (I'm yearning for it all again!). The afternoon trade winds meant we could just open up the sliders and leave the ceiling fans running and stay quite cool. For the afternoons when we needed a little more, the AC units in both bedrooms and the main living area worked like a charm. The master suite is absolutely beautiful - one of the most comfy beds I've slept on, and the huge tiled shower was a bonus! If you're planning on only staying in Kihei and choosing to not rent a car, know that you're well situated to walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Keawakapu, and well within a ten minute walk of restaurants, grocery and sundry stores, and ice cream and shave ice. However, having a car means you can make the ten to twenty minute drive to some of the best beaches Maui has to offer, in the Makena area. Highly recommend Coconut's Fish Cafe in North Kihei, Maui Taco across from Kam III, and Outrigger Pizza (a mobile food truck) for lunch or dinner, Kihei Caffe for breakfast (ignore the long line - they get you through quickly and it's totally worth it), Lappert's in the Shops at Wailea for island-style ice cream, and Surfing Monkey Shave Ice (several locations) for dessert. We had the most epic vacation and this condo was one of the reasons it was all so easy and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here, and will have no hesitation in booking it again for our next family vacation. Mahalo Stanley and Stefan!"

  • Want to enjoy your vacation pick this spot!!!!

"First off, I never write reviews. I am usually too busy or don't care but this is an exception. The place we stayed in was great. We had a large family (8) so we needed and spacious and comfortable place for all of us and this fit perfectly. you are literally steps from the ocean and beach. Some of our family are huge into excursions and it was really convenient that Boss Frog is right next door (plus alot of other really nice shops). Bob is the onsite manager and he takes care of everything. You have a question or need something he is your guy. The best t-shirt I read while I was there said. "I have nowhere to go and all day to get there" For me and my 16 month old grandson we applied that rule every day and it worked for us. Linda Thanks so much for everything."

  • Upcountry Foodies

"Excellent location for upcountry farm tours, drives to Haleakala, and meals at some quality restaurants. If Makawao is not on your list of restaurants try them out! Less crowded, more affordable and fabulous. No cookie cutter Maui in upcountry. Branch out - you will be glad you did. Our lodgings were newly remodeled and very comfortable. Mark was attentive and even let us check in early. There is a visiting kitty who makes herself at home if you welcome her. Very nice amenities and a 20 minute drive from the airport."
