  • Kēhaulani Hula Studio - Kahanākealoha / Maluikeao Reunion

"Our hula studio stayed at Wahi Pana and enjoyed the entire time! The neighborhood, the mountains, the peace and quiet of Hau'ula. We spent the week exploring the Ko'olauloa and Ko'olaupoko area. Swam in the ocean and rivers of Kahana. Memories for sure. Guaranteed a recommend for anyone. Aloha!"

  • INCREDIBLE HOST and beautiful setting

"Let me first state that I rarely write reviews and that, when reading them, I usually reject the most positive and the most negative as both unrealistic. I look for a general consensus. When I came across this property for a family vacation, I was struck by the overwhelmingly positive reviews and employing the strategy described above, came to the conclusion that this would be an excellent selection. If you're looking for a out-of-city Hawaii experience on the eastern (more tropical but can be more windy) shore, you cannot go wrong here. We loved being out of Honolulu, but still close enough to experience everything. We hit all the standards - Hanauma Bay, Makapu'u Lighthouse Tour (sunrise, amazing), Ko'Olina Beaches, Kahana Beach bodysurfing, LDS Laie Temple and Polynesian Cultural Center (a little overpriced for what you get, but recognize that price exists to fund college students from other islands attending college at BYU-Hawaii), Matsumoto Shaved Ice (4 times in one week - obsessive, I know), and had scheduled some shark dives that were canceled due to windy conditions. We also took a lesser known zipline called Climbworks near Laie. We had a large group of 7; youngest 10, oldest 72 and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. It is a little expensive as well ($160) but there are 8 dual lines overall, the longest of which is just over half a mile. The views, the guides, and the scenery was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. As great as this all was, it was the unbelievable hosting by Kaina and his family that truly made the vacation special. When Kaina learned we were arriving on Thanksgiving, he and his family made us one of the best dinners we have ever and had it waiting when we arrived! Who does that? On top of that, he was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and from kayaks to snorkeling gear to body boards, he let us borrow them all, including his own mask and fins. This guy and his family were simply amazing, so kind and helpful. He suggested several other things too that we simply did not have the time to accomplish. If you're looking for an amazing host who can recommend and help you make your vacation truly special and desire a unique location to do it from, this is it. Thank you Kaina and family!"

  • Nice condo, nice view, but on a busy road

"We stayed in the condo at the end of July 2016. The condo was clean, well appointed and the kitchen was beautiful. The building itself is dated and definitely in need of some updates. The condo sits on a very busy road and since there is no air conditioning you need to sleep with the windows open. The bedroom window faced the road and since it is a heavily travelled road it was very difficult to sleep."
