  • Family Vacation and Wedding

"Judith's condo worked out great for my family. Our family of four included 3 adults and a baby and there was more than enough room for everyone. Having the large deck was really nice because it provided even more space for everyone. Sitting out there first thing in the morning with coffee was a great way to start the day. Being able to leave the slider open to take advantage of the wonderful breeze coming in off the ocean was also a plus. We were part of a large family group that included babies, their great grandfather and everyone in-between. Four generations rented seven units all together at Pat's of Punalu'u and every condo was stocked with everything you could need. It was really nice having the calm beach and pool with enough gear provided so that everyone could enjoy the water. We are already planning a return trip!"

  • Great people

"We stayed at Wahi Pana in June of 2016 and had a great experience. My daughters, wife, and son in law stayed for 2 weeks and then traded off to my wife's parents for the remainder of the month. All had a great time. Unfortunately, all of our cell phones and wallets were stolen from our rental van while receiving surfing lessons at Chun's reef, 2 days into our vacation. (Take home: don't leave items in your car). The home's caretaker, Rodney, came to our rescue. He loaned us his cell and time on his home phone and offered numerous other services to help us rebound from a bit of a vacation nightmare. Can't say enough about him. Outstanding guy. The home easily met all our needs, but it was the service that saved our vacation. You can't go wrong staying in this wonderful home as the spirit of Aloha is alive here. Thanks again."

  • Very nice and clean place with great location.

"I stayed at this place for 8 days with my parents. We had great time. House was clean and ready when we arrived. When we had some problem we contacted Sam who answered just right after. No problems with the neighbors. I definitely would recommend this place."

  • Charming and Delightful

"Our party of four loved staying at Blue Ginger. First of all Kathy, the owner, was very helpful in addressing all my questions prior to and after our stay. She really does an outstanding job providing all you may need for your stay. We were welcomed by a lovely bowl of fruit (the apple bananas were delish!) and a basket with coffee, tea, chocolates, etc.) The house was clean and kitchen was fully stocked – even included zip lock bags, paper towels, OFF bug spray, and some seasonings. The flower arrangements were gorgeous. The décor was charming and beds comfortable. We did have an occasional gecko that crawled on the walls, and a frog seemed to be sitting at the back door waiting to be invited in, but that just added to the charm of staying in a tropical home. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. She even provided laundry soap to wash our clothes. We enjoyed the BBQ one evening (included all the nec. tools). We left the windows open the entire time to allow the trade winds to flow through the house and it was wonderful. At night we did hear the traffic on the highway, but the sound of the waves crashing was so soothing it lullabied us to sleep. In the morning we could watch the sunrise from the windows in the front living room, but every morning I walked across the street sat on a picnic bench, or a rock on the beach to watch the sunrise. There are lots of crab holes and in the morning and when the sun came up, they would run out to the ocean! The beach gear was helpful to have, especially the rolling cooler, and beach mats. We took one of the Kayaks out across the street. We went snorkeling at Turtle Bay (nice calm waters), the rip currents at Sharks Cove were strong but we got to see a dolphin jumping around, and a beached Monk Seal – she swam right passed us to get back into the ocean. We ate at Uncle Bobo’s, a tiny little BBQ place up the road that was recommended by the owner and it was so good! We also ate at the Shrimp Truck which was a 3 minute walk to Ching’s Store (but I preferred the Shrimp Scampi plate we had a Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck which was about a 20 minute drive along the Hwy). North Shore Tacos was good and open late. The home and the area was quiet, relaxing and beautiful. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to those who are not expecting that high-end resort vacation lifestyle but rather a nice quiet, relaxing tropical home away from home."
