  • Great location, great property, great service

"My wife and I stayed here for four nights and had a great stay. Excellent location - short walk to private beach, grocery store, and several food options. And just a few minute drive to Laie, PCC, BYU-H, etc. Greg was great to deal with and very responsive. Unit was in good condition and met our needs perfectly."

  • A perfect location in a country setting

"Great condo! It was just as described. Clean, well maintained, and appointed. It is also in a great location in the country. Ocean on one side and mountains on the other. We easily traveled to all points on Oahu from here but mostly stayed on the north shore as the beaches and country setting are quiet and stunning! Heidi was a pleasure to work with. Always responsive and accommodating."

  • Awesome Family Compound

"There were 7 of us that stayed at the Icicle Camp Ranging in ages 1 1/2 to 52. Having 3 cabins with a fence around the property made very private. It was nice to have the main cabin and then the separate ones for our kids and grandson to go to at night. All was very clean and beds were comfortable. Its supplied very well with towels, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, etc etc. The cabins have ceiling fans and an air cooler in each one. However the main cabin is vaulted ceiling so it does get warm in there. The afternoon sun beats in the front doors and the air cooler is on the upper level where the beds are so it does not do much to cool the main level. We brought a box fan with us to help circulate the air and it really stayed cool until the late afternoon. We loved having the pool. We were in it everyday! It was also nice to have The yard fenced if you have a dog. They are even so nice to have two large water dishes your furry friends. The lawn is mowed around the pool area, in the front of the cabins and a large area out past the fire pit but there is a lot of the yard that is left natural. The do have a path mowed to get back to the play area and game cabin though. We were a little disappointed in the game cabin. There is a foosball table and dartboard. It says on the listing it had a nintendo Wii and PS2 plus t.v. so we brought games to play but there is just the dartboard and foosball. Its also not air conditioned so just be aware. We had a great week at icicle camp. It was nice to kickback and relax at this place after our daughters wedding."

  • Charming and Delightful

"Our party of four loved staying at Blue Ginger. First of all Kathy, the owner, was very helpful in addressing all my questions prior to and after our stay. She really does an outstanding job providing all you may need for your stay. We were welcomed by a lovely bowl of fruit (the apple bananas were delish!) and a basket with coffee, tea, chocolates, etc.) The house was clean and kitchen was fully stocked – even included zip lock bags, paper towels, OFF bug spray, and some seasonings. The flower arrangements were gorgeous. The décor was charming and beds comfortable. We did have an occasional gecko that crawled on the walls, and a frog seemed to be sitting at the back door waiting to be invited in, but that just added to the charm of staying in a tropical home. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. She even provided laundry soap to wash our clothes. We enjoyed the BBQ one evening (included all the nec. tools). We left the windows open the entire time to allow the trade winds to flow through the house and it was wonderful. At night we did hear the traffic on the highway, but the sound of the waves crashing was so soothing it lullabied us to sleep. In the morning we could watch the sunrise from the windows in the front living room, but every morning I walked across the street sat on a picnic bench, or a rock on the beach to watch the sunrise. There are lots of crab holes and in the morning and when the sun came up, they would run out to the ocean! The beach gear was helpful to have, especially the rolling cooler, and beach mats. We took one of the Kayaks out across the street. We went snorkeling at Turtle Bay (nice calm waters), the rip currents at Sharks Cove were strong but we got to see a dolphin jumping around, and a beached Monk Seal – she swam right passed us to get back into the ocean. We ate at Uncle Bobo’s, a tiny little BBQ place up the road that was recommended by the owner and it was so good! We also ate at the Shrimp Truck which was a 3 minute walk to Ching’s Store (but I preferred the Shrimp Scampi plate we had a Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck which was about a 20 minute drive along the Hwy). North Shore Tacos was good and open late. The home and the area was quiet, relaxing and beautiful. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to those who are not expecting that high-end resort vacation lifestyle but rather a nice quiet, relaxing tropical home away from home."
