  • Great location, great property, great service

"My wife and I stayed here for four nights and had a great stay. Excellent location - short walk to private beach, grocery store, and several food options. And just a few minute drive to Laie, PCC, BYU-H, etc. Greg was great to deal with and very responsive. Unit was in good condition and met our needs perfectly."

  • Perfect place for Oahu

"Stayed at Sunrise beach cottage for four nights on our trip to Oahu with my parents celebrating their 60th anniversary. This was such a cute cottage and right on top of the ocean. Had the most beautiful sunrises and the breeze was nice. No air conditioner, didn't need it, just listen to the ocean and breeze was like being in heaven. Unit is well stocked with everything you would need. Someone even left some Kona coffee for us, was great. We only ate breakfast there and the only thing we had to by was some toilet paper, It's a good system, what ever you need, buy it and leave what you don't use for the next renter. Wish we had more time there. We spent one day on the north shore, one day on the east shore and one day at the Polynesian Cultural Center which is only about 10 miles away. If you go there, they let you come back one more day free which I wish I had more time for. If you watch all the shows and do the lu'au and late show you need almost 2 days to do it all. Also about 1/2 mile south of the cottage was the best meal we had on our 2 weeks in Hawaii. Look for the shrimp trucks, the one with the Thai food was the best and the most for the money. After we ate there we ate at other trucks but only ordered one meal for two of us, was plenty. There are also many nice beaches close by if you don't want to swim in front of the cottage. The only bad thing I would say about this cottage is I wished I had it for a week. If I ever get back, I would stay in the same place. Well worth the price and my parents and wife loved it. I could live there. Mahalo to Paul andKelli Kepka for sharing this magical cottage."

  • Owner Review

"I have not stayed at or viewed any of these two properties. We have decided on something else instead of the Koi Pond Hale. I am giving a review of the owner , Dotty. I emailed her recently to rent the Koi Pond Hale. There is a group of us who are coming to visit Hawaii. This email was followed up by a few phone calls . She was extremely courteous, patient , helpful and all around pleasant person. I had some trouble getting her emails and she patiently stayed on the phone with me while I searched for them. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions about the unit. She also provided us with many helpful tips about traveling the Hawaiian Islands , what we may need to bring and what to expect while we are there. I am writing this review because while searching for a unit I have encountered many rude owners who just want your money and just don't care about you , your stay, your question or their rental. So I like to give positive people the praise they deserve. It is always to easy to only complain all the time . Thank you for all your help Dotty. We really appreciate it."
