  • Paradise for a week!

"How do you talk about the property without talking about the island? I will try. First of all, Melanie was so kind and generous to us. She provides all the staples guests need to begin their visit. This gets you going until you can make a trip to the grocery store. Next, all of her suggestions were so valuable. She was so correct in the activities and parks and beaches. We did attend the Chief's Luau on Melanie's suggestion, and it was outstanding! The girls enjoyed all the cultural activities and the hula lessons. The dancing was spectacular. Oh, I almost forgot! We had fresh mango, pineapple, and grapes awaiting us upon our arrival. Melanie has a mango tree on the property, and we could go outside and pick the freshest mangoes and the best tasting - nothing like we get in Georgia. Having the pool was a plus. The girls could swim after coming in from one of our excursions, and they thoroughly enjoyed this. We all had comfortable bedrooms. Having a washer and dryer helped with not having to pack so many clothes! The kitchen is set up so we could all maneuver around. The kitchen materials are top notch. Melanie has it outfitted for every cooking style. We did go snorkeling, and Melanie has all the equipment needed. We did not have to rent anything for this fun activity. We used the coolers and chairs, and even her roomy beach bags came in handy. There were 9 of us - 6 adults and 3 children. This was a vacation of a lifetime, and I am sure we will be talking about this paradise for years to come! Thank you to Melanie and all that you did for us!"

  • Great Christmas Vacation

"The house was so amazing. Had pretty much everything we needed, age range of travelers from 28-78. All rooms were excellent, master bedroom/bathroom with lanai was incredible. 3 full shower/bathrooms in the house (+1 outdoor shower) so never any issue finding a bathroom or a shower. The 3 kayaks were great, definitely recommend making a trip out to the blue hole for some snorkeling...we saw 4 or 5 turtles there and just as many fish as you can see at Hanauma Bay without the crowds or the lines. The pool was great as is the kitchen and patio area. We ate a majority of our meals at the house but it is a relatively short drive into Waikiki for some more action, or to the excellent restaurants at the Kahala. Grocery stores just a few minutes away. Beach out in front of the house is not fabulous, water is very shallow with lots of rock and coral until you reach the surf (which is a long way out there). But we spent all of time up at the pool when we weren't in the kayaks or snorkeling, so it was no problem for us."

  • Excellent value - home away from home!

"We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks & absolutely loved it. The apartment has everything you need & is very comfortable, functional & homely. Sometimes we went out to eat & other times we stayed in & cooked (because we could) as the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. The hotel staff are very helpful & we were able to use the gym (also fill up our water bottles from there daily) & do our laundry which was great. It is located in the quieter part of Waikiki, so it was always nice to return back there after a long, busy day & to be able to rest & relax without a lot of road/traffic noise that other hotels may have. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. We didn't even need to hire a vehicle as we could easily walk to the shops/beach or catch the bus or trolley & when we booked tours we were either picked up from the hotel or just had to meet at the hotel across the road (so handy). Lastly, Alfred & Hildegarde were very helpful every step of the way, they provided excellent help, advice & tips which were very handy for first timers like us. Thanks so much Alfred & Hildegarde for sharing your apartment with us xo"

  • ideal stay for excellent views, centralized location, convenience

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Simply put, I would book this unit again if I came to Oahu. The customer service was great and I felt like the hotel staff was accommodating even though unit is managed by a 3rd party company. The room was tidy, clean, and met all expectations. Everything was in functioning order and the first thing I had to do was look out the lanai upon entering the room. The partial oceanview picture in the listing accurately represents the view you will see. Thank you for an enjoyable stay and the price was reasonably considering what other hotels were charging for similar views. It is a 5 minute walk to Ala Moana Beach Park and plenty of restaurants/shopping nearby. Parking is an additional $20/day in the hotel garage. Never worry about finding parking and there's free valet service when all spots are taken up. You will not regret booking this place."
