  • Great place, very clean and comfortable with everything you need to feel just like at home

"Perfect location in Waikiki, on a safe and quiet street, just a block away from Kuhio (street with stores, including a small supermarket), two blocks from Kalakaua (most touristy avenue with all the luxury brands and restaurants) and three blocks from the beach. You do not need a car: you may walk to all locations on Waikiki, and take the bus to visit Honolulu (don´t miss the palace downtown). But if you have a car, there is a covered private space. As this is a corner unit, just opening the windows was enough to keep it cool (in May), and we never turned on the AC. Everything you needed was there (and top quality) in kitchen , bathroom and bedroom. There were even beach towels, umbrellas and foldable chairs. The one thing missing is a lunch table, so you take your meals on the kitchen bar/counter or on the balcony. The rooms are large and the balcony very private and pleasant. The views are limited by other buildings, but you can get a glimpse of the canal in the back and of the fireworks on Friday evening. The pool is small and mostly in the shade , and you can cook a BBQ next to it (which, by the way, you can also do at Ft de Russy beach). Communication with Megan and Justin was simple, they always replied to our emails within a day or two (we never had to call) , and they returned our safety deposit in the week after our departure. On Waikiki, you can enjoy sunrise and sunsets: in the early morning, jog to the top of Diamond head, around the zoo park, or along Ft de Russy beach. In the late afternoon, swim at the beach or have a drink at the terrace of Buho (Mexican restaurant) or the new open terrace at Top-of-Waikiki. The month went by so quickly that we wished we could have stayed longer."

  • Peaceful, Immaculate, Great Location

"Maile was a little slice of paradise for me. I was traveling alone, meeting friends, and this place was perfect for me. I especially loved having the windows open on each side of the bed and enjoying a wonderful breeze all night long as well as the sounds of the ocean and majestic view of Diamond Head. Jan even had stocked the place with some welcoming goodies which were much appreciated since I got in later than expected. We have stayed in this building several times (other condos when the entire fam came) and recommend the grassy area that is adjacent to the ocean, a great place to eat breakfast or have a glass of wine to watch the sunset. It's an easy walk to Waikiki as well as to a number of eateries on Monserrat. There is a nice little minimarket less than a block away and a laundry in the garage. Downsides: Street parking is very limited in the daytime and the building's ice machine was broken (building manager said he would get around to having a serviceman come - island time, I guess). Of course neither of these were the owner's fault. I hope to stay here again when hubby and I return!"

  • Awesome place with unbelievable value!

"My stay here was better than I could've asked for! The place is perfect, great location and comfort, peaceful as well. Marshall is a great host, he's very helpful if you have any questions but otherwise leaves you be. His sidekick Tweed is great to! Thank you Marshall for a great place to stay!"

  • Perfect for a family getaway

"We absolutely loved our time at the Kahala Getaway! We rented this house the week after our wedding so that we could spend some quality time with our families. We had 3 generations staying with us! From start to finish we were very happy with our experience. Booking with Betina and her team was a breeze. When we checked in we were taken through the property by the very helpful Raquel who showed us the ins and outs of everything, and it was so nice to walk into the kitchen and see a lovely welcome basket with goodies for everyone to enjoy. The house was great because it is all one story which made it easy for our grandparents. We spent most of our time in the large covered courtyard area which overlooks the pool, the large outdoor dining table was great for meals and catching up. The pool and outdoor bar area were of course in constant use, and the additional fridge space in the outdoor bar on top of the 2 fridges in the kitchen made things a lot easier for us. The beach is a short stroll away, the neighbourhood is nice and quiet. Another thing that was extremely helpful was the trash bins, there are several large trash bins for both normal and recycled trash...I realize it's a weird thing to note but when you have 9 people in one house for a week it comes in handy. Definitely recommend this house for family get togethers, lots of space for everyone and the layout really makes the kitchen and the outdoor dining area perfect for entertaining. Also super close to town and freeway access, stores and shopping mall was only a 5 minute drive."
