  • Pure Paradise!

"We found this hidden gem when on Oahu to celebrate our daughter's graduation from University of Hawaii. It is tucked in the valley with a postcard perfect view of the ocean. The cottage is well equipped with anything you could need in the kitchen and the outdoor living space was exactly what we were looking for even though we didn't know it. The towels were fluffy and the bedding was good quality as were the furnishings and extra touches decorating the cottage. We made cedar plank salmon on the grill and sat around the fire pit roasting marshmallows as the sun set. Mike was available to answer questions and hook us up with coolers and Mochi stopped by in the evening for a little visit. This cottage is a true find."

"This was my 4th stay at the Ala Moana Hotel. This unit is amazing in comparison to the room we had previously rented. There is a kitchen foyer as you walk in with a large robe, there are all amenities for your use in the kitchen including big mugs for hot drinks, nice large wine glasses, an ice bucket (ice machine on the floor below) crockery, cutlery, saucepans etc. The stove is a 2 burner flat top and heats up really fast. As a tea drinker I boiled water in the small stainless steel saucepan and it literally boiled within minutes on the stove. My daughter was happy to find that there was a starbucks in the hotel lobby for her cold brew coffee. There is also a small fridge - big enough to hold your needs (Walmart and Walgreens are only a short walk from the hotel for food/drink supplies). In the main area of the unit there is a comfy lounge, 2 chairs and coffee table, this area has a balcony with 2 chairs and table. In the middle is the dining area with table and 2 chairs and ottoman, then there is the spacious bedroom area which has a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. The king size bed was very comfortable and there was a surplus of king pillows that were also immaculately clean and comfortable. There were bedside tables and lamps and a long seat at the bottom of the bed. This area also had a big robe for storage. WIth the 2 robes there was plenty of space to hang clothes and put suitcases out of the way. The bathroom is also very large, the toilet area slightly separate, huge washbasin with plenty of space for our creams, cosmetic products and a full bath with shower. Everything in this unit is beautifully presented with a real sense of space. From the bedroom balcony you can see the oceon at the downtown end of Ala Moana Beach park and sitting out there at sunset is lovely as is looking at all the city lights of an evening. Convenience wise this unit is 5 mins into Ala Moana mall, a short walk to the Ward centre (Nordstom Rack, TJ Max etc as well as the Movie theatres) and a 30 min walk into Waikiki - or you can catch the bus or trolley. As well as all the tourist orientated restaurants there are a number of cheaper eating places in the area if you want to grab take out and go back and enjoy this lovely unit, I can recommend Masala for nepalese/indian food opposite Walmart, Japanese Udon in the Ala Moana centre near Longs and California Wok for plentiful portions of chinese food. I will definitely try to book this unit on my next trip."

  • Beautiful views from mountains to ocean

"For our one week stay in Waikiki, this condo was a great way to save some money on accommodations so we could do more activities on our family vacation. The kitchen was well equipped with a blender, coffee maker and pots and pans that we used primarily for breakfast and snacking. Beds were made up with fresh sheets when we arrived and pillows were plentiful. The only issue we ran into with the single beds was the length. There are two twin single beds in the apartment and both have footboards which did not work for our tall teens, both over 6 feet tall so we had to juggle things around and I got one twin bed which was even tight for me at 5’8". A shorter group would have no issue. The place was clean and neat. Furniture comfortable. We appreciated the beach gear and cooler that we took with us to the beach several days. Parking garage was convenient. After reading reviews about the adjacent hotel, I was concerned but we found the area to be safe and we felt good walking to shops and restaurants day or night. Best of all were the views we were greeted with everywhere we looked. We could see the patterns of lights up the hillsides at night. In the day, Diamond Head was clearly visible as was the ocean. We found ourselves often watching the rowers in the canal below. Many thanks for a wonderful stay."
