Great Location! Million dollar view! Frat house furnishings!
"Love the location of this place for it's accessibility to downtown, the waterfront, the parks, the Art museum and much more. If you're real adventurous like we were, you can can even walk to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. Only 6.2 miles through fun neighborhoods.
As for the view, we could not get enough of it. Stunning! What was really nice is that you have the same view from the living area and both bedrooms.
As for the furnishing. Sparse, old and worn out. I'm not sure which condo is pictured here but it sure wasn't the 2br 2ba we rented. In the living area there is a black vinyl sofa that has seen better days. An old brown sofa bed that was probably the best piece there and a gold chair that was stained and thread worn with holes. The underneath of the chair was ripped and hanging on the floor. Two black end tables with chips in them. One had the TV on it. (It also would have been nice to have a television that had cable access). The dinning room table has seen better days also. Along with its miss matched chairs. The two beds were basically a frame, box spring and a mattress. No backboards. Also the carpets could use an upgrade. Especially in the master bedroom where there were actually hole in it.
But all in all the location and the view would bring us back. With a little sprucing up of course."

"This is such a great place to stay in Chicago! Literally 25 steps from the Grand stop on the Red Line, the location can't be beat, especially with all the restaurants, the river, and the Magnificent Mile all an easy walking distance. Great views of the lake and Chicago 360 (i.e. John Hancock Observatory). I have stayed in other rental properties before, but this was the best appointed--it had everything we needed to feel at home and a grocery store right downstairs. Jim and Jeri-Lou are great about communication before and after the stay. I hope to stay in Penthouse #6 again the next time I come to Chicago in a few months."

"We had a large group of ladies come into Chicago for an engagement party - 8 ladies spent the night here, but we hosted a gift exchange with 16 total people and everyone fit comfortably. This was perfect for us and our needs! The house was great and the bedrooms were comfortable. There is grocery store not too far away which was especially convenient when we discovered that there was no coffee provided! (Tho there was a coffee pot which was helpful.) There are some dishes/utensils, but I would recommend bringing your own as there is a random assortment and I wouldn't depend on something being there. Same goes for any cooking utensils/pots/pans/etc.
The location was fine - we were unsure about the area but we never felt unsafe. We stayed in January so were unable to use the outdoor space and spent most of the time inside anyways.
We had zero problems using Uber to and from the house."

"First off, the location is great. There are restaurants and things all within a few blocks. The neighborhood seems very safe and lots of taverns around to grab a brew in the evening. Groceries are about a half mile away, but there is public transportation. The EL is located only 2-3 blocks away. Wrigley field is a 15 minutes walk. It is not really a well stocked kitchen with pots/pans/etc. It's adequate, but I'm comparing to other places I've been. There were no salt/pepper/dish soap/and a few others things, but we just bought that. The living room has a couch for 3 plus on easy chair. We were four, so it was adequate, but if you have any more, you need to sit on the bar stools or pull over a dining room table chair. There are no electric plugs in the dining room, so I could not do anything there that required that, but I made do in another location. The air conditioning was great and the place was very comfortable even thought it was quite hot and humid the week we were there. All in all, I might look around for another place just to see what's out there, but I would stay there again."
