  • Good stay, very good location

"This is a very nice house that accommodates quite a few people. The location is great if you like to boat in the Lake Barkley State Park area and Barkley marina, where we like to rent a pontoon for a couple days. House is in very good shape, comfortable living room, nice tv with wifi (def needed in Cadiz!) plenty of space, showers are fine, beds are ok, not great. Someone lives in the lower level but there was absolutely no issue with that and hardly noticed. The only issue we had was the grill was not working properly, and we like to grill. The owner sent over maintenance right away to fix it but only made it a little better. If there was a better grill available, we would probably go back."

  • C&L Rental house

"This little house was beautiful. The online pictures do not do the house justice. There is no internet or cell service which was great for a vacation. No work worries with no phone or email. It made us enjoy our vacation more and have more family time. There are deer everywhere you go and you can hear many animal sounds and see lots of water all around. Loved our stay."

  • Lake House

"Great lake house on the water with a gradual slope to water. Lake lot was back in a cove off the main water which really nice. No water traffic or rough waters. Neighbors were great and very accomodatiing with answering questions and assisting my father-in-law (age 84 young) in getting him back to the house from the boat dock. First visit to Lake Barkely and it will go down in our "good experience" memory book and a great fishing experience as well. Owner was easy to work with."

  • Amazing!!!

"Wow!! Thats all I could say after I walked into the house!! It's fabulous!! First, let me say this, Pat, who met us there to let us in is a dear!!! She even left us a little welcome gift of all the things we needed to make smores!! Very helpful!! My husband has a band," Dog House Kitchen", and they were invited to play at the Hot August Blues festival over at Kenlake State Park. It's a 3 hour ride for us from Louisville, so we decided to make a weekend of it and rent a home to stay in. Did we ever pick the right house!! There are bedrooms everywhere, even an amazing "kids" bunk room, complete with secret door!! Plenty of bathrooms. The screened in decks on the back of the house overlooking the lake are wonderful! There's more than enough tables and chairs ,porch swings, and rockers outside to seat everyone!! We spent most of our time there. There were 14 of there and not once did we feel crowded!! The house was exceptionally clean, very tidy, and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen!!! Oh my, it is a cooks dream!! We are a bunch of good cooks, and there was not one time we ever had to say "I wish they had this here!!" It's a very well stocked kitchen!! The newest addition to the house, The Hillbilly Shower!! was an instant hit!! Nothing like showering off outside in a very well made outside shower, complete with rain shower head. The driveway was awesome, plenty of parking spaces for all of us, and room to turn around!! This house is in the most serene setting, we all remarked at how quiet and peaceful it was . The fire pit was perfect...park benches all around, no one was left standing.. This by far is the best house we have ever rented..Thank you... And if the band gets down that way again, we will definitely be staying here again!!"
