  • Charming Shores says it all!

"Where to begin? From the moment we pulled up and climbed out of the car we felt welcomed and at home. We were greeted by CW who is a nice, friendly man and gave us a quick tour of the home and told us if we needed anything just ask, which was great to hear being 20 hours away from home! The house roomy and decorated with beautiful but functional antiques. The side sun room was our favorite for drinking coffee in the morning. The kids had a blast running out back in the well maintained yard, whether playing in the sandbox or on the swing or playing croquet, they were having fun. The model T ride was quite a hit, and was a neat experience. We LOVED that the beach was about a minutes walk down the road. It was quiet, relaxing and overall an allstar stay. If we ever plan on traveling back out to Maine we would with out a doubt stay here again!!"

  • Ideally-located, charming place

"We spent a week in this charming house in Sullivan, Maine. It was all prepared for us when we arrived, with beds all made up, towels in the bathroom, and everything nice and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and cookware, and people are encouraged to help themselves to left-over condiments in the fridge. We had a very comfortable stay there. The location is great because there are hiking trails right off the street that the house is on, about 20 minutes away is a tucked-away beautiful pond for swimming, the picturesque Schoodic Peninsula is close by -- this is part of Acadia National Park and has a loop that is great for biking; the town of Ellsworth with lots of major stores is within easy reach by car, and the larger portion of Acadia National Park (Mount Desert Island) is about 45 minutes away. There are also a number of good restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend this rental."

  • Quiet & Relaxing

"This cabin is rustic, clean, private, and oh so quiet. We spent a good part of each day at Acadia, but the kiddos loved being right along the water when we returned for so many reasons. Maryellen & Auggie were very helpful in answering questions about things to see and where to eat in the area. The times we were around for meals it was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen to cook in. Washer/dryer is also a nice bonus so we don't go home with a mountain of dirty laundry! You've thought of everything. Thank you for allowing us to stay!"

  • Wonderful, well -appointed property!

"This property over-delivered! It was a great place to recharge during a 9 day road trip through New England. The unit was clean, quiet, and well-supplied. We took day trips into Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat'l Park then came back each evening to relax and regroup. Bruce was quite accommodating and was available to answer questions, provide insights, and help us when we locked ourselves out! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to relax and reflect!"
