  • Perfect house

"The best part of our trip to Maine was this house. It's host all by itself! Gorgeous waterfront property and a prime location for kayaking (bring your own kayaks) The house was clean and set up perfect for 2 families to stay there and have privacy. The kitchen was the most well-equipped out of any rental house we have ever stayed in (Yes! They have pie plates!!). The fireplace was a great added touch, even in June as nights do get chilly. The deck is the perfect place for relaxing with coffee or wine. We saw seals, dolphins, and bald eagles all from the beach here. Just for a reference, it''s about 20-30 min away from Acadia/Bar Harbor and 5 minutes away from a lobster pound. If traveling up here again, I would recommend this property to anyone."

  • Wow. What a comfortable and peaceful cottage!

"We ventured from So. California to spend the first 2 weeks of October (2016) for fall foliage and the local lobster. This cottage was a perfect choice. First, the owners were very easy to work with and extremely helpful with directions and what activities are in the area. The cottage was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom windows looked out on the Frenchman Bay. In the morning, while in bed, you can see sunrise. And at night you see see the stars through the skylights. I really appreciated the reading lights by the very comfortable king bed (plenty of pillows for reading in bed). The steam shower was a real treat after a full day of touring Acadia (and those chilly mornings!). The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. Even pots to boil lobster (it is so easy to buy lobster, we didn't bother). We did steam purchased clams. The stove / oven worked well. We used the oven and made baked apples multiple times. Soap, laundry soap and plenty of towels were provided. The clothes washer and dryer are new, and it was nice to do some laundry as needed. The fire place was very efficient warming up the cottage and relaxing. The whole front of the cottage has window view of Frenchman Cove, and looking towards Bar Harbor. The drive to Mount Desert Island/Acadia Park was an easy drive. The fall foliage was just amazing. What a wonderful stay we had. I highly recommend this cottage for a wonderful visit to Acadia National Park."

  • Absolutely darling getaway!

"This is a really special home in a perfect location. It's close to 3 lobster pounds, the bridge leading to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, and other local attractions. The home itself is decorated beautifully, and offers 2 full bedrooms with comfy queen size beds. The loft is especially perfect for kids or teens, but this home would also make a special honeymoon or anniversary getaway. I highly recommend this rental home!"

  • Best vacation in a long time...

"This was our first trip up to the Acadia area and it did not disappoint! The house is incredibly cozy, even has a wood stove for the colder nights. The lake is very tranquil and we took several canoe trips on it with our dog. It is about a 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park, which is breath taking. We recommend eating at one of the lobster pounds in Ellsworth to get the full Maine experience. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation, one of the best ones we have had in a while. Definitely coming back!"
