  • Cozy, beautiful, and private

"We had an amazing week in Seal Cove in this fully equipped cottage. From the screened in porch we were able to see bald eagles, osprey, herons, and gorgeous sunsets. We have two small kids and the cottage was perfect for them with the coast and tide pools to explore and the yard to play in. The house is spacious and has books and board games for rainy days. Will definitely be heading back! Highly recommend."

  • Overall very pleased with the property

"The property is exactly as described in the listing. We had 6 adults and 4 kids staying at the house and we still have a room that wasn't used. When we first arrived we were greeted by a very nice welcome package laid out by the owners. They left out marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate and skewers for smores, blueberry soda and post cards. We started a fire in the firepit (firewood provided by the owners) that very night and the kids had a blast making smores and filling out post cards to send to their friends. The location is close to just about everything. The next morning we drove 5 minutes to Southwest Harbor to rent bikes from the Southwest Cycle shop for a bike ride at Witch Hole Pond and then spent the rest of the day in Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor is 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic conditions but definitely not a bad drive. Most of the rest of the week we went hiking, did more much more biking on the numerous carriage trails and went to the beach at Echo Lake which was about a 1 minute drive from the house. We arrived at the beach around 10am and there was plenty of parking and lots of space on the beach. The kids had a blast building sand castles and swimming. During our stay the a breaker was tripped and the lights went out in one room. Unfortunately the secondary panel was where we could not access, but the good news was I called and sent a text to the owner and he was out to fix the problem quickly. The next day we locked ourselves out of the house but luckily we were on our way out for a bike ride and again I just sent Frank a text and he had the house unlocked for us by the time we were done with our bike ride. A few days later Frank sent me another text just to make sure everything was going alright and we didn't need anything else. The customer service was great and Frank is a great guy. The property is well maintained, the lawn was nicely manicured, the rooms were clean and spacious. Hopefully we can make this a yearly trip. My wife also noted that she was pleasantly surprised by the amount of books and board games available. We had one rainy day during our trip but the kids were happy reading books and playing board games while the adults just kicked back to relax. I think the only drawback is that the family room couch wasn't that comfortable, but if you are in this area you shouldn't be sitting around on the couch anyway, you should be out exploring Acadia!"

  • Relax and enjoy it all

"This was our first visit to Lookout Way and As soon as you pull up to the house, you know it's your home away. The outside with the little front yard shaded by the big maple tree, chairs and barbecue just invite you in. Inside, the charming furnishings, little antiques, with all the modern amenities right alongside. They provide everything you need, but it's just a short distance to "town" for groceries and a couple of great restraunts. Acadia National Park is everywhere and there are so many ways to see it. A boat trip out of the harbor was a special treat. We visited Bar Harbor, but have to say I totally prefer Northeast Harbor, much quieter, still scenic and a nice Main Street area. Asticou Inn has amazing food, especially with the famous Jordan Pond Inn popovers now available there! I hope we can return to this gem of a place very soon."

  • The perfect vacation

"My husband and I just returned from a lovely fall trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we will be back sometime with our children. Great home, well maintained with beautiful landscaping. This is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but super close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor, a fantastic place to come home to every night. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and owners were very friendly and easy to work with. My favorite part was sitting in the glider chair each morning, drinking my coffee while watching the lobster boats."
