  • Grist Mill Stay

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grist Mill on Stonington Harbor. Every morning we saw a little fishing village come to life and found their way of life so interesting. The Grist Mill was clean and comfortable and the view was awesome. The people are helpful and friendly. Deer Island is off the "beaten path" and there are no huge chain stores or familiar restaurants nearby, but the stores and restaurants are sufficient and enjoyable. I would definitely go again!"

  • Great home with Beautiful View

"We spent 3 nights here and had a lovely stay. The home was immaculately clean and very cozy. We traveled with an infant and a three year old, and the owner brought a bucket of toys for our boys to play with while there. There is a beautiful view of the nearby lake. We liked the location on the quiet side of the island, but still close enough to several harbors/towns to easily get back and forth for dinner. We spent time hiking/sightseeing at Acadia, and it was simply stunning this time of year. Overall, 5 star stay, and I cant recommend this place enough!"

  • Wow!

"You'll love this sweet cottage because it has all things necessary for a perfect vacation. Clean, well-appointed, comfortable, stunningly beautiful views and landscaping come together to make this place exceptional! Stonington is a trip to Maine that was just what we were looking for. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, hikes for all levels, a picturesque waterfront, easy boat trips/charters, nearby restaurants and golf. Life is so good!"

  • Heaven and Nature sing along the shore!!

"Looking for privacy and unending Penobscot views? Or access to lobsterman and their fresh catch or a well equipped kitchen and your very own vegetable garden? Or an owner who personally communicates and tends to details? This is THAT place! Easy access to grocery, sand beach, farmer's markets and the best lobster roll around. Plenty of opportunities for hiking, kayaking and day tripping. We were drawn to the area for the landscape and all things quintessentially Maine. And after several trips to Stonington now, we have fallen in love with the art and artists and the artisans behind 44 North Coffee, wood fired Tinder Hearth Bakery and Aragosta. This was a great situation for our family and our curious 2 year old and we so appreciate the owners sharing this gem with us."
