  • Pleasant Lake

"Our week on the lake was everything we wanted and more. The cabin was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed. We used the kayak and canoe daily for trips around the lake with our six year old son, and saw several Loons and Eagles on our adventures. Most evenings, I kayaked to the middle of the lake to watch the sunset and each time was breathtaking. We spent most evenings down near the fire and were lucky to have three nights with so many shooting stars, we lost count. Just the other day, my son said 'lets close our eyes and pretend we are out watching the sky on the lake again'. We did have one rainy day, but with all the movies and games available in the cabin, we definitely were not bored. We also played a round of golf at the local golf club and drove over to Baxter State Park on our last full day to hike a trail recommended in one of the trail books on the book shelf. It did not disappoint. Overall, the cabin was the perfect location for reconnecting as a family away from all the normal daily distractions. Thank you very much for opening your home to us!"

  • Just the peace and relaxation we needed!

"This was our second trip to the Duval cabin. Everything about this home is wonderful. It is clean and comfortable and decorated beautifully. You have peace and privacy yet every modern convenience at your fingertips. You will want for nothing. We have been to the cabin with friends in the middle of the summer and still felt as though we had the entire lake to ourselves. We went for a week at New Year's this time and had snow the entire time we were there. We planned wonderful meals, played games, watched the dear venture through the yard and, with plenty of firewood left for us to burn, kept the fire going almost continuously as the snow fell outside. It was magical. Candace was, as always, very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cabin for a get-a-way in any season!"

  • First Class in the Wilderness

"Here is the cabin you've always searched for but never found. A magical secluded place right on Moosehead Lake with the amazing Mount Kineo in the front yard. The views from the deck are extraordinary. Then there's everything you need for a memorable time from the kayaks, a fire pit, a fully equipped kitchen and on top of that great books and music. Ryan, the owner, was more than cordial. This is the first time we've rented a place that was better than advertised. Now, we are truly spoiled."
