  • Spectacular Views

"Lofty was the perfect place for our family to gather for Thanksgiving; the interior space provide a picturesque backdrop for our dinner. Upon entering Lofty we were welcomed by the sweet smell of pine. In the main living area light poured from a wall of windows framed spectacular views of the water and shoreline. The entire home is well- thought- out and comfortable. Guests need only to relax and enjoy this special place."

  • Lovely house, convenient location

"We had a great stay at the Lobsterman's Catch. The house felt roomy for our family of five plus pug. It was immaculate and comfortable, with a huge, well-stocked kitchen and dining room. The porch was a great spot to hang out and eat dinner. It was nice that there were gates to keep our pug on the porch. Every morning I would walk down to the little cove or across the street to Houghton Graves Park, a beautiful inlet. At high tide we swam at the cove or at the park on a tiny, rocky beach. During the day we kayaked with rentals from H2Outfitters, hiked at Giant Steps and Devil's Back, visited Freeport, and ate at Cook's (twice), Giant Steps Seafood Grill (great pancakes!), and had a picnic one day. We also got lobsters already cooked and ate them on the porch. We tried to eat at Dolphin Marina but there was a 2 hour wait! We'll try to make a reservation next time. Isis was very friendly and helpful! My only comment is that there actually isn't a waterfront view, as I was expecting. The cove is only 100 yards or so away, but there are two little streets and a row of huge trees in between the house and the water. So even though we could hear and smell the ocean, you can't actually see it. The house is described as ocean front, but that's a bit of a stretch."

  • Perfect

"Beautiful location--steps from the waterfront and nestled in the woods. Mark is an amazing host with a stunning property--micro sustainable farm, bees, composting. He even roasts his own coffee and was gracious enough to share it with us. Delicious! Would give ten stars if I could. Thank you Mark for a perfect weekend on Peaks Island."
