  • lovely cottage with beautiful views

"Our family of 5 stayed in the cottage during the Bowdoin graduation (2016). I echo the comments of the previous review.... welcomed by flowers, wine, and everything we needed (BBQ, blender, bikes, etc). It reminded me of the Maine cottages of my youth. It was a perfect location to easily get to events in Brunswick but have a 'get-away' to host friends and family for dinners. There are several tables of different sizes and lots of chairs and we were able to seat many on the porch on one beautiful evening, and then were able to set up dinner for 8 in the livingroom on a cool night. It was just perfect. we loved the walks around Mere Point and recommend getting lobsters and other freshly baked goods from the marina/store near by. When i inquired about picking up lobsters, I discovered the marina will cook lobsters for you and package them to stay warm and they baked rolls and a blueberry desert to order! I would definitely recommend this cottage for families. We hope to come back."

  • Amazing vacation and property

"My extended family rented this house and our one concern was having enough room to spread out and not drive eachother crazy :) Boy, did we ever have enough room! The house is laid out in a way that people can definitely have their own space, while being able to eat and relax together in the kitchen/dining room. The dock, kayaks, and rowboat were definite highlights, as well as the firepit. The sunsets were unreal. Also, I can't imagine a more responsive host. I was travelling with a 2 month old (and 1 year old) and some finicky parents and had a few questions leading up to the trip. Every single time I emailed, I received a response back within minutes. I highly recommend this property and these hosts. Karen, thanks for a wonderful stay and the opportunity to create such amazing memories for my family."

  • A Gracious Hostess and A Spectacular view of Pott's Harbor

"After following Rte. 123 to the very end plus a very picturesque half a mile of dirt road we were greeted by the owner, Margaret. Following a brief orientation, we were shown to our unit,. directly facing Potts Harbor and looking across the bay to our favorite seafood restaurant, Erica's. A small porch, adjacent to the front door, provided a sheltered area for reading and snacking. Another sitting area at a seawall just below a garden provided another sitting/reading area and an expansive view of the harbor and fishing fleet. The unit was comfortably furnished with separate bedroom, living room, dining room, bathroom, & kitchen; all completely equipped. There is much to see and do with reasonable drive times. We will certainly return to this ideal vacation spot."

  • Slice of heaven

"My family has been coming here to this home for nearly 10 years. The boys couldn't have imagined summers without being here. Now grown up my husband and I still can't get here enough. The minute we step off the ferry were in heaven. We completely decompress here like no other place. Love the people, love the privacy, sunsets, no thought of time, it's home for us!!! Thank you for sharing S&G"
