  • Beautiful little apartment in a great location of Portland. Welcoming and helpful owners!

"The apartment is adorable, well outfitted, beautifully appointed and in a great location; easy walking distance to many great restaurants, music venues, pubs and shops. We were very comfortable and totally loved our little vacation in Portland! The owners, Sue and Barry, are just delightful - they were so welcoming, informative, and had even left little goodies for us to enjoy - including great coffee, cream, chocolate, and blueberry jam. We highly recommend this apartment and look forward to another stay sometime in the future!"

  • Heaven on Earth

"My wife, myself and 3 other couples visited this beautiful home October 4th thru the 7th, 2016. I cannot say enough good things about this property and property owner Ellen. The views are fantastic. The home and cottage was very clean and comfortable. We visited some quaint towns not far from this location and enjoyed the beauty of the Maine coastline as well as the outstanding restaurants. We purchased six 2 ½ pond lobsters at the near lobster co-op for $7.50 lb and boiled them in the large pot and propane pot cooker supplied by Ellen. Boiled them up in the sea water we got at the dock near the home. They were absolutely delicious. I think my favorite activity was just hanging around the evening fire with our friend and reminiscing about our day. Ellen could not have been a better host by keeping in contact from the day we booked to the day we left. She was gracious enough to accept our invitation for a glass of wine by the fire on our final night. What a wonderful person she is. Thank you Ellen we all had a fantastic time in Maine."

  • Beautiful historic comfortable house within walking distance to downtown and port

"Gary has thought of everything with this house and how he runs his vrbo. He has restored this historic house while keeping a lot of the original finishes. The location is ideal since its in a quiet neighborhood with a couple of local restaurants, while still an easy walk to the heart of Portland. Gary has outfitted this home like he is running a B@B, minus the breakfast delivery. Everything one needs for a short or long stay, including handy local information and recommendations. The welcome wine found in the fridge is a great touch as well. If you are lucky, you might run into Gary for a few minutes and enjoy talking with him about the house and the local area."

  • Comfy

"My stay was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable. It would be an even more excellent experience for me next time if there was a fluffy warm down comforter on the bed to complete the experience. I might suggest also getting some darker colored light filtering drapes for the windows as the ones match the room perfectly but don't function well enough to keep the light out. Overall, excellent and homey feel. I will go there again if it is available!"
