  • Good place, beautiful location

"The owners are personable, accessible and helpful. They gave the option of providing the sheets and towels and we took them up on that. When we got there there the beds were made and plenty of towels provided. The cottage is dated but kept up well. Water pressure is good, and the place was quite clean, a refreshing surprise given that they allow dogs (we brought 3). The bed I slept in was actually more comfortable than my bed at home. The bay is lovely and calm, good for kayaking. They provided a canoe, but our daughter brought her kayak. She took it into the bay a number of times and even saw a seal. The hill to the water is steep but the girls had no problem and it is easy to bring the car down there."

  • Harpswell Haven

"I'm not sure what could be cooler than staying in a converted 1886 Barn. The first floor is their storage room and where the owner stores his kayaks, paddle boards, lawn toys, and larger cooking equipment, that is all available to use as a guest. The apartments upstairs are beautiful too, all new appliances, immaculately clean and beautiful views! I would come back in a heartbeat."

  • Great home and location

"My husband and I and two children stayed at Ardis' home for a month last summer and loved every minute of it! The house is well equipped and feels like a home. We love to cook and enjoyed using the beautiful kitchen. The location is perfect for young children as the house is located on a very quiet side street and it is only a short walk to Willard beach/playground , Scratch Bakery, the ice cream shop etc. The house is located in a quiet section of the Willard Beach area, the classier part, so no loud night time events next door. In addition to the nearby amenities there are so many great things to do in surrounding towns. We visited light houses, and beaches in Cape Elizabeth, went organic strawberry picking, ate at numerous fine restaurants in the area and generally had a wonderful trip. At the end of each day it was great to settle back in our cozy house in the perfect neighborhood. Beyond the location, and great house, Ardis was wonderfully accommodating and attentive. She moved her office to make upstairs sleeping quarters for our young children. She immediately replaced a malfunctioning dishwasher and she quickly responded to any questions. After leaving we realized we'd left our baby carrier behind. Ardis very willingly mailed it to us. If you're looking for a great rental near the beach, this is it!"

  • It is a nice little one bedroom. Very cozy with everything you need including a lovely deck.

"Perfect place to get away. Quiet location when I traveled. Great view from deck! There is a little beach just a short walk away for some fun rock explorations. Would definitely visit again!"
