  • charming cottage

"The cottage was very spacious and comfortable with lots of kitchen equipment. There were 3 living rooms but as there were only two of us we only used one. I would imagine with children this would be an advantage. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful. I would totally recommend visiting the Boothbay Railway Museum. It doesn't appear on Trip Advisor searches for some strange reason but really is well worth a visit. Its much more than a steam train ride, with a large transport museum with over 50 cars, trucks and fire engines. I could have spent all day there. The staff were brilliant too. Also visited Coastal Maine Botanical gardens which were also well worth a visit. All in all a lovely comfortable cottage in a great location."

  • Excellent Location and Wonderful House

"My wife and I stayed with two other couples a couple of nights over Labor Day. From booking through to checkout, Vacasa was extremely helpful and provided a seamless experience. The house itself is in a quaint neighborhood with view of the water. There is a beach at Ocean Point Park about a 15 minute drive from the house (there is also a closer beach at Barrett Point Park but we didn't make it to that one). Very convenient to downtown Boothbay and easy to explore various smaller towns in the area. For clarification, there are 3 BR with a queen/double in all and a twin in one of the rooms. There was not another twin when we were there. I would highly recommend the home and look forward to staying there in the future!"

  • Great location - fun for small family

"The kids loved sitting on the large porch steps and watching the fishing boats go by. We spent most nights eating dinner on the porch with the water as a back drop, using the outdoor grille. Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking. The home has Maine cottage charm, with telescope and books about sailing/fishing. We would walk down to the end of the point in the morning when the tide was out, to search for rocks and shells, a favorite activity for the kids. A playground, tennis, and basketball are a short trail walk behind the house (less than a minute). Paul's marina, down the street, has awesome sandwiches, 'penny' candy, and a view of boats docking at the marina."

  • Hidden Gem!

"My husband and I had a wonderful time at the loft. It was perfect for our romantic stay in Maine and ideally located minutes from the cute town of Freeport. The loft had everything we needed; it was very clean and very well maintained. It was very relaxing it sit and enjoy the scenery of their property. The owners, Jim and Mary, are so nice! We would highly recommend Wolf Neck Loft!"
